I agree with the last part of your video , if you are singing and think with all your brain as you sing "this is going to be GREAT AWESOME " and you get all your energy and concentration on EACH PRHASE, FEELING SUPERMAN, your vocals will go on background mode and get out awesome (studying technique is of course part of the job, but that right there is going to improve your vocals in a great manner).
