Thanks for the reading Diane! I live in Brooklyn and did NOT vote for Adams. I voted for Kathryn Garcia who lost by a whisper. I think she would have made a great Mayor..Adams was a do nothing Brooklyn Borough President who mostly lived in NJ so... what the heck. Adams was a former police captain and has all sorts of support from the NYPD and yes... he's a candidate of color and that matters in NYC. But I always expected corruption from him. He's been running NYC like a Prohibition Era Dandy with strong ties to big money real estate interests. We don't need more of that... but that's what we got under this guy. Learning that Turkey helped illegally fund his campaign I thought... well "another day another dollar" for this guy. I for one will be glad to see him go. My concern is the effect of his indictment on critical House races here in NY State that could effect the Dems winning back the House. Could you read on this? Adams leaving is... who the heck cares IMHO but his causing damage to the Democrats chances of winning back the House at this late date in the campaign... that's the real issue.

Yeah that’s the feeling I got was the prohibition era feeling of underworld kind of stuff. But I don’t know how much is him and how much is the other people in his ministration exactly. Well, it just tells a lot too when he goes around saying that the feds are picking on him because he’s trying to make changes. It sounds like somebody else we know.

I was going to say that but didn't want to upset anyone who might be an Adams fan but yeah... he and Trump are kind of cut from similar cloth. Honestly here in Brooklyn it's at the point where "no one voted for him" if you ask them. Everyone's annoyed he's continuing the big building plague that the past 2 administrations allowed to take over the city when we really need housing normal people can afford. Adams has been compared to Jimmy Walker with his parties and limos. Walker was mayor during the height of prohibition, famous for accepting bribes, totally corrupt but very colorful. That was Adams vibe from the start. Now... heck AOC is saying he should resign because of the bigger issue: We need to protect NYS House seats to get back control of Congress. Could you read on Adams effect on this if any? It's the only thing that concerns me about this guy who I'd just say "Hey mister.. don't let the door hit you on the way out... and thanks for nothing, which is what you gave us."
