nope, they are in-ear monitors. trust me i'm a musician and I've also read about their live setup from one of their techs. example: at 1:40 he takes them out. there is a wire coming out of them which is connected to a wireless receiver either in his pocket or on a guitar strap or something. that feeds to the wireless system which is connected through the sound board, and he customizes how loud he wants each instrument/his vocals.
All time low don't actually use monitor speakers, they just have little boxes on the stage to look cool, all the in ear monitors that they are using have been custom moulded, you can see the mould being set in straight to dvd
they do a few things the speakers on the stage are so loud that it can cause hearing damage especially since they perform as much as they do and since the music all blends together and is really loud it reduces the surrounding sounds so the musician can hear their own instrument so they know they are playing it correctly (alex can hear himself singing)
Because sometimes when jack goes into the crowd or whatever hes obviously not playing so they need someone to play guitar when he's just...being jack haha

Alex does the majority of the lead parts BUT when he's not singing, the back up guitarist (what ever his name is) plays the lead melodies. (if there is any) Jack may play some little licks here but he's pretty much a rhythm guitarist for the most part.
actually wrong, thats what the moniters are for, the things in his ears are simply ear plugs, makes the sound clearer and less irritating to his ears, cause you know their blowing the room up with sound.
