@@EllisWR those kids wouldn't be asking you guys for money, if they were in front of their parents...... they know not to do that, and would get smacked behind closed door...... buddhist culture, they pride dignity over materialistic stuff and money......... they earn money legit way , selling stuff, or working..... no parents should be teaching their kids to beg for money, even if they hungry...... they would ask for food instead if desperate......... if you see kids and their parents in front of them, and them kids keep harrasing you guys for money........... RUN! get away from them, it means they are bad family.
Thanks so much for sharing your journey around Laos Ellis and Alicia. Really enjoyed all the videos. Looking forward to seeing Vietnam through your eyes, another amazing country. Cheers.
The loud speaker announcing policies is something I’ve never experienced. The views from the bridge are like you say, beautiful. I’ve enjoyed your Laos series & it was nice to be able to see people without the masks everyone was wearing in Thailand.
I think the man was saying Lao Lao (Lao whiskey) perhaps. 😂 maybe he was inviting you guys to drink. The loud speaker is the head of village announcing news, might be someone’s death, government news etc.
That yapping on loud speaker is just the head of the village telling the villagers of news from the Laos government, you know, keeping them in the know of what's new in government policies and what not. No worry.
I like the friendly welcoming people, the food is amazing, the nature is some of the best in all Southeast Asia. And it is old school, I don't like modern places :)
I think he was asking you to come in for a drink with him but you would be the one buying the lao kao...I think he was maybe asking if you are from Russia.
A perfect combination of my type of a vlog, people, food, landscapes and animals. I particularly like the latter. Thumbs up for you guys.
Thanks so much Yuma 🙏
