Looks like Jamie had more separation anxiety than Sherpa did. 😆
Couldn’t agree with you more 😂
Really.Geez
Yep I noticed too Dad is more anxious ☺️😅
@@gazellahikers8702 a
😂
He’s probably like, “This is the first decent sleep I’ve had in a while!” 🙌🏻😆
😄😄
🤣😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOL 👏👏👏👏
Sherpa is feeling the same way I did the first day my kids went to school. “Finally! Some alone time!”
Oh yes! I remember those days!!
Exactly. I think he didn't have to be always listening for Jamie so he passed right out.
I think we always worry about the ones we love❤
What a sweet boy! I love how he wakes up and looks at you like, "Oh. Were you gone?" LOL
While Jamie is away sherpa is roaming around the house, making sure all doors and windows are locked,so he can sleep peacefully 😂😂
I bet he was making sure no food got left out when he was sniffing the counter while walking threw the kitchen.
Pulled down the dark shade
Jamie: leaving
Sherpa: randomly checking the kitchen for possible snacks and then sleep, he just know that you will come back, actually it is YOU who miss him and was stressed 😂😂😂😂
You're totally right 😂
Yeah, somebody had an emotional crisis and it wasn't Sherpa!
Leaving a pet alone at home for the first time IS a nerve wrecking experience for pet parents or pet siblings. Speaking from personal experience. ☹️
That's true LOL, Sherpa's dad missed him more than Sherpa. At first he was a little anxious I think, pacing a little. But then when dad came in and Sherpa was asleep I was thinking he was faking, in fact I played that part over and over to see if Sherpa was acting as if he had been in a deep sleep and had just woke up startled for a second. As if to say "I didn't even notice you left, I'm a big boy"
If he was acting he should get an Oscar. Because I've seen a few videos of Sherpa before I do know he's very smart, and they do get mad at us for leaving them sometimes.
Like once I went away for a visit out of the Country for a few weeks and when I came back my cats were so standoffish, I went to the bottom of the street to get something from my local shops, and when I came back one of my cats was all over me, as if to say don't ever leave me again, he thought I had left again when I went to the shop you see, so he had to show me he was no longer mad and to pleeeeese never leave that long again.
BTW, that tree is a little worrying, if it's at all possible to get it cut I think you should. One strong storm and if that comes down on you guys you could have a fatal accident. Please take that seriously. :))
Sherpa be like, "Finally have the place to myself after five years!" So adorable when he does that little stretch after opening his eyes, just like my senior cat!
I love how they stretch, from head to toe, and then a yawn to finish.
He was sound asleep. Dad was anxious, Sherpa did good. 😂😂😂 ❤
A quick sniff for any forgotten chicken balls and then nap the time away 😂
😂😂 such a good boy
Sherpa was such good boy he did so well when Dad went out for a bit so proud of Sherpa well done buddy hi 5 for being on your own you deserve some chicken balls for doing so well I love you I do from Kerrie 🐺❤️🐺👍
Haha K'ey and Sherpie are such opposites... K'ey would have made you feel guilty for leaving him home alone with his puppy eyes and then demanded many belly tolls 🤣🤣🤣
How could you do it Jamie?! You should take Sherpa to k'eyush house with the biscuit lady and leave him with k'eyush and come back to Sherpa after you done.
@@mycellismy5760 I think he said he was few hours drive from biscuit lady....... But yes should have had them come up so she can dog sit them while Jody takes the mini and Jamie drives the van to the shop... I think Jody drives..
I love that Sherpa feels secure and doesn't have separation anxiety!
It's freakin' awesome.
He is the one with separation anxiety, not the dog.
He seems to feel you'll be alright out on your own for the first time 😂
Aaah he was in such a deep sleep. I think you were more stressed about him being alone than he was.
Jamie doesn't need an alarm system when he has a world famous howling husky that even other countries can hear
😂😂 he'd be a rubbish guard dog tho
@@Sherpas_vanlife yep, one sausage or chicken ball and a burglar can watch a movie before he steals the TV 😂
I can hear him across the Atlantic haha
@@Sherpas_vanlife Haha, just as our dog was! But if there was new people coming he barked as mad, till they talked to him! Then his tail went off! 🤣🤣🤣🤪
He would TALK robbers to death! 😉
Sherpa was such a good boy. No howling, just a little prowling around, and then napping to make the time pass quicker. Bless him!
That’s exactly how I live
@@SleezyMoves
☺️
Sherpa was handling being alone just fine. You were worried more than him. You are a fantastic dog dad, no doubt. Sherpa has a wonderful life.
The sound of rain pelting down relentlessly is such a soothing sound to sleep through. It makes literally all your troubles float away. It's so peaceful. No wonder he was dozing.
I can't believe he's not been left alone for 5 years. Fact of the matter is Sherpa acts like more of an adult than most people I've known. Bless you both...
Haha he does doesn't he 😂
Sorry but I have to nit pick, it’s matter of fact. Sorry again
Aw,glad he was ok on his own.
Glad you checked on him when you got home. So I guess Sherpa does have some hearing issues?
@@williammorgan1860 No it's technically correct. Some places say fact of the matter.
With the sound of the rain, and the atypically quiet house, he must have fallen into the deepest, comfy sleep ever!
I know! I try to squeeze in naps at those times just because of the lulling sound.
Aww, look at him sleeping so peacefully. He is such a beautiful dog. 😍❤🙏🏾
I guess he was searching for you everywhere, thinking you might be playing hide n seek. Such adorable pup 😍
He is so adorabel and cute
He never heard you because he was soo comfy at being warm and dry while listening to the pitter patter of raindrops in his dreams. We all love you both for sharing the love you both have for each other.
I like that pitter patter...
@@charity4908 Me too, specifically because when I was a baby, just before my family took me to the States, BTW, we lived in England before the States and my mom told me when it would rain she would be holding me watching the rain hit against the window, and she would say, "Jane, look at the rain, it goes pitter patter pitter patter pitter patter... I can honestly remember that from that long ago, in fact my mom's 90 now and I bet she'll remember this too.
Thanks for the reminder, my mom's British, so maybe that pitter patter is a British thing. :)
Sherpa is soooo lucky to have never been left alone in the house without his dad for the past 5 years! 🙌❤ He definitely deserves it! 🥰😁 You’re an amazing Dad Jamie!
Aw thankyou 😊💙
It’s great when you don’t leave them but it gets scary then when you have no choice. Ours have only been left once in 11 years, my partner and I even holiday separately. We had a pack of 5 special needs ( for want of a better phrase ) so they were not left. We are down to 2 now sadly, I wouldn’t hesitate to rescue special needs dogs again though it is so rewarding and they have given us far more than we have them.
@@Coyo-Tea angels do walk among us.Thank you for all
you’re doing to give the best life possible to those
who might otherwise be lost without you.❤❤❤❤
Sherpa and you are an amazing team. It’s
always about the love❤❤❤ and napping so
hard one can’t hear his dad talking to him!!😄❤️❤️
@@Coyo-Tea Csom is right! You are definitely one of the Angels walking among us 🙌 Bless you for all you do🍃❤️ Thank you.
That gentle surprise on his face as you woke him up was precious.
Incredible that a husky has not woken up by anxiety and noise!!😂🤣 These dogs never cease to amaze me, they’re divine❤
Expectations: Sherpa calls Key, Nook, Granny, Batdog, Mickey, and Old Man Larry for a party whilst Jamie's out
Reality: Wanders about and sleeps so hard that he's dead to the world 😅
Omg imagine 😂😂
Love this so funny
He even calls K'eys weirdo n biscuit giver to keep the treats coming 🤣🤣🤣
You remembered old man Larry! That's impressive. I was hoping for a party with Batdog, Nook, Key, Mickey, biscuit lady, Weirdo, Ivy and Gran-ny! Next time right Sherpy? Xxx
True 😂😂😂
Sherpa has integrity! He doesn't even jump up to see what might be on the countertops in the kitchen. Such a truly good boy! He also just trusts that Jamie will be coming back. I love this! ❤
It's largely because he's in his own home, much like when Key is left alone. It's a 'safe' place. He's surrounded by all the same comforting sounds & smells. Like you said, he knows that Jamie is coming back, just like Key knows Jodi is coming back. But I bet if you took them somewhere else, like when on holiday, leaving them for 30 minutes in a holiday home, they would both be a lot more anxious & pacing.
I never had such a worry with leaving my dog for longer because he always had the cats to keep him company. Still had a limit, because naturally, nature calls! And he was diabetic, so toward the end of his life, the poor boy naturally found it harder to keep his legs crossed for long.
Gosh, I didn’t think anyone else was as bad as I was for leaving the fur baby ❤
Very needy dad arrives home 😂
Sherpa trusts you completely! He wasn’t worried in the least…
Jamie was so worried and Sherpa was like..oh well, nap time!!
Sherpa sleeps like our senior dogs. Just deaf enough not to hear us in their deep sleep. They have taken care of us all their lives, on alert. Now they sleep deeply and dream of younger days knowing now we are on alert for them. Blessings for everyone who has senior dogs.
They age way to fast especially the larger breeds. Dogs are the absolute best of companions!
@@jamesclark9347 You are so right. Can't imagine life without our dogs.
❤❤❤
I’m watching my 18 year old chowder collie sleep so peacefully, and I love how you expressed this. ❤️
I feel this way about my dog. She's more restless at night, like she's trying to stay alert & protect me. The rest of the day, she knows I have her covered so she sleeps hard.
I thought he was going to find the house in a terrible state 😆 what a good boy he slept in peacefully waiting for his dad 🥰🙋♀️❤️
Dad seems like he's having a little anxiety about leaving him, then he is about dad leaving,, he's so chilled, and he was in a deep sleep, he got up like oh hey dad u back already 😄
Sherpa fell asleep to the rain storm knowing his Dad (Jamie) would be safely back home soon. Little did you know, Jamie, that Sherpa had Key, Nook Batdog, Granny, Biscuit Lady, Mickey, Old Man Larry, Sister Sarah and all family and friends on speed dial just in case. So, he didn't have any worries while you were gone. 🥰
Jamie was worried about Sherpa and Sherpa just had a nice nap after he investigated the house & made sure everything was OK. Sweetest Boi!!!!!❤ We love you both!!
That’s the quietest husky I’ve ever seen. Huskies are usually very talkative.
That's what my Husky does, too! He "pretends" to be asleep! Love this. Thank you for your video's. Florida loves you and Sherpa.
The rain was a lullaby for Sherpa...I think dad was more concerned than Sherpa ❤️🐾
Awe. Sherpa laying there is so cute.
He was very good 😊
@@Sherpas_vanlife Indeed. 👍
I like when he stretches his legs.
My pittie mix and I have been joined at the hip, 24/7 since 2020. I just got a new position & for the first time, need to leave her on her own during the day. She's been SOOO good. No separation anxiety, no torn up furniture, nothing! In fact, she's SUPER happy to see me when I get home! ☺️
Aww but maybe she needs a little kitten to keep her company, they would become best buds
@@camillep3631 Sadly, she'd dine on the kitty for lunch. 😬 Not a good idea. She has a very high prey drive & hates cats.
I love the way he stops over in the kitchen a few times to see if any food magically appeared for him😂
Ahh! Jamie is like a parent who leaves his kid at school for the first time! 🥺 😊
Why is he so cute and I'm surprised that he didn't find his treats Jamie you owe Sherpa so chicken balls for being a good boy
Haha I definitely do
"Oh bless..." I'm in the same situation with my dog....I could totally feel a knot in my stomach as you drove off! The not knowing what they;re doing at any given second is crazy!! Love you both!! God Bless!!
I would’ve fallen asleep peacefully with that rain too. I get it, Sherpa. Went full ASMR mode 😂
Sherpa did the right thing on a rainy day, he got comfortable and took a nap. I'm sure the patter of raindrops put him to sleep.
ThTs what I was thinkin. Rain 😊 what a cutie
Sherpa is too funny! Slightly worried, checking for any easy food, then a nice quiet nap. Kudos to you, Jamie, that he feels so safe and has no doubt that you will be home soon that he can sleep with no worries. Probably thought, "What is my crazy old dad doing now?" LOL
You’re such a good doggy dad! Admit it, you were worried sick about how he’d go & he was absolutely fine. You’re the one that was a complete wreck! You’ve got such a beautiful relationship with your boi & Sherpa was an absolute champ re: being by himself. What a sweet pair you are! ❤️
Aww, so cute, looks like he's enjoyed the break from him x
I think Sherpa handled being alone better than you did leaving him alone! lol
I would have been the same 🙂
Looks like Sherpa💙enjoyed his home alone time 😂 what a good boy
The rain made him sleepy😂😂😂❤❤so adorable❤❤😂❤
😂😂😂😂 Can’t believe he didn’t hear you come in the house lol. Such a guard dog. He is adorable he woke up like oh hey buddy it’s just you lol
Lol. Not surprised Sherpie is sleeping. Super Adorable. Thanks for sharing.
So cute 😊
My dog stays in his bed and sleeps the whole time I am out and then says hello and goes back to sleep
We love Sherpa. He's giving you the silent treatment. After all, he checked every room before lying down to sleep. Lol
Haha we expect a husky video and it turned into human psychology video. Love how the dog celebrated its time alone... and the human response of coming home.
Great content! Haha 👏
Precious!!!😭🤍🤍🤍
Such a wise old dog, a once in a lifetime companion. Much love to both of you. ❤️
Edit: I bet he would've woke with a crinkle of a cheese wrapper, lol 😆
Aww what a dear and good Sherpa. Of course he doesn't do anything in your absence. He even washed the dishes and vacuumed Sarah's room. I think you could have stayed away a little longer. 😃He knows that you give him a lot of responsibility by looking after the house, but he has mastered it with flying colors. So sweet and relaxed as he sleeps when you got home. There's proof Sherpa is taking good care of you and the house.😍
a very wonderful video❤️
Big Hi5 Buddy💙👊
Aw thankyou buddy.. I see you're in the air again 😂 you go on more holidays than us
@@Sherpas_vanlife haha no not actual it was my Return flight from UK😀
I think Daddy had a harder time with this that Sherpe did...❤❤😊
This was adorable 🥰 He looked miserable being left alone! But then i thought he was pretending to be sleeping! But actually after that good stretch, he obviously had the best nap😄Dad was so worried! Loved this!👌 Bless you both🙏 Happy Thanksgiving!
I thought he was acting, too, because his ears didn’t twitch. But they didn’t twitch to sound when he woke up, either.
Looked miserable? At what point? He was just checking for the best spot to nap
That baby was having the best, most peaceful sleep ever!!!
Aww 😍...he is the cutest 🥰...he is so special ❤️
Aw 😊💙
Haha, you missed him terribly! Bless you. 😁😁
OMG... don't do that to your hoo-man! My mom was literally holding her breath watching this thinking something happened to you!
4:03 finally sherpa comes to your senses after pretending to be asleep
yeah no way he was truly sleeping.....dogs always have one ear listening to any disturbance.....u coming in through the door was more than enough to wake him.....u called his name even.....playing dead.....pissed.....lol lovely Sherpa.....Good Boy !
@@brianjones4026 yeah Brian
It’s always great to see Jamie and Sherpa in the morning! Much love from America 💗💗💗
Aw morning Kristin 👋
He is enjoying your anxiety right now, he was chilling out, but you were worried, he is truly loved❤❤❤❤
Good Boy. He knew his Daddy would come back
"Finally, the guy with the camera I let live with me and drive my van has given me some alone time, I can get a nice sleep"
Hahaha you're probably right 😂
Sherpa being up to his antics and he will try to eat his treats
😂😂
What a good boy. I found myself smiling all the way through :-) Thanks for the heart warming video of Mr. Sherpa.
I love that he just broke the cardinal stereotype of coming home to a dog! 😂
5 mins into being left alone, Sherpas already bored and wandering the house 😅
😂
Sherpa just chilling. Doing house patrol. Nap time for all that hard work 😂😂😂
Sherpa: Oh you back.
Enjoy your day 🤗
😂😂
Sherpa's no fool----he knows he has a good, safe home as well as a good doggo-daddy that'll take care of him.
When I leave my house for any extended periods of time, I tell my Sidney to "Watch the House" or "You're the Watch-Dog".
I sometimes leave the telly on as well---Sidney loves sleeping through the Weather Channel.
oh my goodness the way he woke up was so adorable sherpa is a certified legend 😂😂
Sherpa is a delight! I am sure it was difficult to leave him alone but he is a good boy. Thank you for bringing such joy into our home.
He was such a good boy!!! Those beautiful eyes and his stretches, so cute!!! ❤️🐾❤️
She’s so behave.. The weather must be so cozy to sleep for Sherpa 😊😊♥️
Sweetest Sherpy was looking allll over for his Daddy❣️ But now you have to pay the "im gonna ignore u for 15 minutes" penalty for leaving him home. 😁🌧️💕
I think the penalty will be for waking him up!
Just imagine if Sister Sarah had been babysitting! Jamie probably would've heard the howls from the garage!!😋😂
Love how he glanced over at the dishes and kept going. Good boy, Sherpa. Leave them for your hooman to take care of:)
It's just like leaving your child. However, he's fine even though you're not. Great watchdog, by the way!!
Ha ha ha...Jamie klingt so enttäuscht als Sherpa nicht mal hört dass er nach Hause kommt...und ihn nicht freudig begrüsst. Schläft einfach tiefen entspannt weiter 😂😂😂
I love how much we worry about our animals..and sometimes they are stress when we have to leave them …but this totally melted my heart .
I’m so happy for you xx
Thanks for sharing that with us!!!! Big smiles all around
I’ve watched this video way too many times, and it just makes me burst out laughing every time!! It just makes me so happy lol 🤣 oh Sherpa, he’s the best 🐾💙🐺
Sherpa is such a darling. He was more relaxed than Daddy. That's so sweet. 🥰❤
Aww...the face he made when you told him you are leaving him home alone...cutest thing ever 💗💗💗🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘
Haha he was trying so hard to pretend he didn't care if you were back or not 🤣🤣🤣
He needs a lots n lots of chicken balls 😛😛😛
Haha I think I was more concerned than him 😂
@@Sherpas_vanlife Agreed
I hated to leave my dog when I had ti go somewhere where you can't take dogs too. You are a very good dog owner and treat Shep with alot of ❤️. I love when Shep says fluff off. Give him a 💋 from me.
Didn’t tear up the house while you were out, that’s a good baby, you’re more anxious then him❤❤❤😂😂
Absolutely no fluffs given. Sherpa's like "Oh, I didn't here you come in. I was just enjoying a nap. Couldn't help it. The rain is so relaxing."
For the first 1 and 1/2 years with my husky I took him everywhere with me, including to work. As I work in private homes, I had that option. One day he looked at me when I told him it was time to go and said "you just move along mom, I'm perfectly comfortable with my own company." I've never had separation anxiety issues with him. Not one to howl or talk, he's an unusually quiet, calm, serious "unicorn" husky and my neighbors have said he's completely silent when I'm gone. He has an enclosed 8' by 16' kennel on my porch so if he had anything to say even though I'm rural, the nearest neighbors would hear it because sound carries around here. Not a peep. Doesn't chew or destroy anything, doesn't dig holes, doesn't try to escape.
I am grateful every day for his wonderful company, Couldn't ask for a better companion more suited to my own personality & independent nature.
That is Sooo Wonderful!!!🤗💕
God bless u and your fur baby!!!☺️
Wow. Good boy.
The most dramatic thing in this video was the weather. Lol! Good for Sherpa! (And you too).
The rain put the old guy into a DEEP sleep look at him wake up
Omg 😳. For a minute I thought.... He was in a really deep sleep or he was dreaming that you returned, so that's why he didn't react🤣. He did well, didn't he. Good boy ❤. Love you Guys 🥰🤗
So cute wasn't he
For a minute my heart was in my throat !! Phew !! I have a super senior dog Fifi n everytime she sleeps i keep looking at her tummy to see her breathing n moving tummy. God bless you Sherps !! God bless you !!
I leave gentle water sounds and birdie videos on for my boy when i go to work. He Loves watching them. There's lots of good dog tv videos with ducks and birds and squirrels..
I love how you tell him what and when before you leave,,, I do that too.
He's a lovely, adorable companion. He was sleeping for real. And he just want cuddles and belly rubs.
Sherpa is so adorable & cozy as he sleeps.😍 I think the rain may have lulled him into a deep sleep. He was happy to see you, Jamie.😁
I think Jamie was more worried then Sherpa was :) I was concerned when Sherpa didn't wake up right away. I thought oh no. But he woke up Bless Him 🥰
I know right? I thought is he breathing? But, nope! He was in a deeeeeeep sleep. He's such a chill dog. 😎
Me too!!! I was trying to look at his belly to see if he was breathing. But I knew he wouldn't have uploaded the video if he came home to Sherpa in distress or passed so I was consoling myself that Sherpa was ok
