I've seen, I think hundreds of videos of Portugal already and can't wait to get there next month but I find that your videos have a different and more interesting quality. Thank you so much for showing us the beauty of Portugal.
Thank you for sharing. I was going to bypass Braga after watching another UA-camr. You have showcase Braga brilliantly and it is now on my list of cities to visit.
Beautiful video, you really know how to use a camera. Braga was a Celtic capital, also the capital of one of the most important Roman provinces, the Gallaeciae, as Bracara Augusta and it was the only capital that the Germanics Swabians had. In fact, it was in the time of San Martin of Braga that the day of Christmas was defined. It was in Braga where the Templars were truly architected and financed.
I’ve been researching Portugal for our trip next year and I’ve watched dozens of videos. I must say, you guys are great! What an awesome video showing Braga. We’ll most likely be staying in Porto for a few days, so a day trip to Braga is definitely in our itinerary
Thanks for the tour! Here in Latvia, in spite of being traditionally a Protestant country, we have some old churches with that painted wood ceilings. Originally from the region of Courland, they were dismounted and transported and can be checked in the Open-air ethnographic museum located in Riga.

Portugal as a whole is so beautiful, this city is a wonderful city, you should visit coimbra also a university city in Portugal way lovely. Thank you looking forward to visit Portugal!
Yes, Portugal IS beautiful! We actually visited Coimbra in 2019 and loved it but that was before we launched our channel. We'll have to visit again so we can make it UA-cam official! 😁😊
Other videos on the same city just seem to be walking tour with no oral guide. In this video I got a basic oral tour guide all with in a ten minute play.Learnt something new about the history.Cant wait to check this place out .
There is?? We didn't know that! I'll have to look it up (and possibly visit if we're ever in the area - they're a rather marvelous invention!). Thanks!
I am so excited to go to Braga in Sept....and even more so watching your video!!! Can you tell me what street you were on where there were balloons? Thank you so much for sharing!
Ugh, I tried going back through our notes to find it and I can't! I'm sorry! It's somewhere in the historic central area, so if it's still there, you should come across it! I hope you enjoy Braga as much as we did!
Great video…. it inspires a trip to Braga. Also love the version of “Lisboa Menina e Moça” that you used in your video. Any suggestions on how to get a hold of/ find that music?
Thank you! We were so very lucky to stumble across that impromptu music performance, and that they let us use it. It's one of a kind. 😉 There are other versions of the song, if you search for them - but of course our favorite will always be the one used here. 😊😊
First off, great video. I just started thinking about moving out of the USA. My wife mentioned Portugal a few times, so I figured I would start to investigate. 😀 I wanted to ask what set up you had to record your videos. I caught a glimpse of Bill with his set up. I was curious what mic and grip you are using? Love you videos. I’ll be watching more and try to will this move into existence.
Thanks!! We have 4 cameras we film with. The one you probably saw Bill with was the Dji Pocket Osmo, with a tripod stand (that has cold shoe mounts and a cell phone holder) and we use a VMovo VXR10 mic. We also use a Sony Rx100 m7, a Dji Osmo Action Cam, and my Samsung S20 phone. Each of them on their own is quite small!
You will see some gorgeous painted wood ceilings when you visit central colonial Mexico (Morelia, Patzcuaro, etc)! With that heavy Spanish influence. Not sure when you might head this way, but if you come to Guanajuato, Mexico, I hope that you will give me a heads up!
Love your video! I am from Canada and looking at booking flights to Portugal for the end of March. Do you need a vaccine passport to enter restaurants/indoor activities?
Hi - for entry, there is currently conflicting info about whether Portugal "recognizes" a Canadian vaccine passport (because it doesn't have reciprocal acceptance). I would watch the internet for more info - the Schengen Visa website is a really good one! It will likely be clarified by the end of March. Once you're in, you only need to wear a mask for public transport and a vax passport is not required for dining/museums/etc at this time. Thanks for watching!!
@@TalesFromOurPocket Lol definately. Sameiro, to me is the coolest of the two. It's higher, it has a special energy. You were not even 1Km away from it, you totally should have checked it out.

I would definitely recommend staying there! The feel of it in the morning and evening is much different than during the day. We loved Braga!
