i just bought the ghost edition today, it was really an upgrade to me from the old one. yes, they do glide best, the cosmetic absolutely unbeatable, build quality really improved because no creaks on my copy and lastly, they put a new and better switch on button which you can access it effortlessly. i mean the switch is more out than the old one. worth my money even i just used the old one about 3 and half months now. nice and honest review which really got myself the confident to buy the latest version!!!
I was an XM1 main and this mouse is actually very similar to it, I actually prefer the Aerox shape for aim. I was sleeping on this mouse because of the bad reviews but after trying every high end light weight wireless mouse I was willing to give it a shot. Man this mouse is top tier! Never been happier with a mouse.
the Aerox 3 Wireless is still my favorite mouse so far, alongside the viper ultimate. I just with the Aerox had a charging mount, i like not having to remember to charge my mice.
I wish steelseries would release an MMO mouse. After using one of those for years it was incredibly convenient to program those buttons for various actions (back, forward, cut, paste, etc.) and then in even fps gaming since my thumb is right there, hitting 1 for reload, 2 for grenade, 4 for action (like knifing or opening doors etc)...really does make things faster for me then moving my fingers across the keyboard.
Actually, I really liked the tiny side buttons on either Aerox 3 and Prime. Whenever I switch to another mouse, I just missed that tiny crispy side button from steel series.
The new aesthetic is awesome and the feet are a plus. I just tried my Aerox again and I remember why I boxed it up. I feel the same as you, but they just don't stack up to other mice on the market IMO. Another great review though!
After adding core pads I didn’t mind the feet really on the first version wireless, I just didn’t like sensor positioning & side buttons imo, not a bad mouse though at all and it’s nice seeing them try to redeem it. Also a more mid or slightly forward sensor position will help with micro adjustments easier on lower sense. Maybe I may just think that because that’s what I’m used to and it feels weird to change, really throws me off trying to use the mouse.
the aerox had so much potential but steelseries fu...that up pretty hardly to be honest. i love that shape, but overall to many mistakes to make this mice rly viable for me.
I have the 2022 version of the wired and I really like it and it appears as if it's the same as this wireless one. I also agree with the feet being a little scratchy but other than that, I love the thing. I actually like the sensor placement. If I'm ADS'ing and my target is strafing, I can follow with small movements simply by turning my wrist. I can do this a lot easier and more accurately than by moving my whole arm/hand. For my preference this works better. All in all I think it's a great mouse and I'm loving it.
@@trisfps. Still no complaints and it's still working well. It doesn't replace my beloved DeathAdder which feels like it was molded specifically for my hand but it's up there with my top 2 or 3.
Been using this now for a week after swapping from a SteelSeries Rival 3 wireless and man is the light weight of the Aerox so pleasant to use! Awesome review, thanks!

Just a tip if you didn’t know when using cruise missile hit the fire on mouse in beginning it’ll automatically go after red dots you aim at then hit ads to slow it down and wait for them to respawn sometimes you can slow it down enough to get past respawn immunity
The aerox 3 wireless is a great mouse and I would main it, but the lift off distance (along with the sensor placement) is just too high for me and not being able to adjust it is a bummer.
I really believe that if they do a Rival 310 wireless with all the popular features people want, pfte feet, lightweight, remove the rubber sides, it can have a lot of impact at a not overpriced ta, I would love that

Only major downside I've had with the recent Steelseries mice is their choice of scroll wheel pattern, it collects dead skin and oils like the world is going to end next minute
Cool mouse, would be wayyyyy better with a more forward sensor position. It's literally sat in the bottom third of the mouse which makes the mouse feel significantly less responsive than a mouse with a sensor position closer to the where the thumb sits on the grip
One of the only mice that has that further back hump like the xm1. I think its basically this, xm1 and it's variants and the xtrfy with the changeable back.
I just got the Onyx today and it has the same feet. They are sharp edged like you said. Can be a bit scrapey. My main issue is the side buttons. Not easy to click. You have to think about clicking. Otherwise it's not bad. Just not as good as it could have been.

Why get this when you can get a Razer orochi V2. 60$ then add 25-30$ for a set of 4 pale blue lightweight rechargeable lithium batteries (AAA), and 5$ for AAA to AA adapter and you are set. 5 to 10$ cheaper than an Aerox 3 with better sensor placement and wireless tech, lower click latency, no holes and just 4 grams heavier at most
The shape of the Aerox will be better for a lot of people. The Orochi V2 is a really small mouse that is really only good for finger tip grip unless you have very small hands. And a forward sensor is not objectively better, it is only beneficial for more movement with rist rotations. I actually prefer the sensor further back in the mouse because it allows me to have more consistent aim with arm swipes (I use a lower edpi).
Great mouse but I got one and the rgb broke in one led (steelseries for me has a history of breaking rgb leds) and can't replace cos I bought from steelseries which only replace with closest one still produced which is snow not ghost
