Every tourist english native speaker I've met does that, I work in an amusement park, and as I said, everyone did that to me, If I don't know how to speak in English, it doesn't matter how slow or fast you can speak. It's not autotune. It's called gating and it's something that's used to give a song a 'dance' kind of vibe. It doesn't actually do anything to tune their voices, it's just an effect. The best thing to compare it to is one of those little microphone toys that make it sound like your voice is echoing.

There was a rumor that Jake Zyrus (Sunshine Corazon) was supposed to be a regular cast member. It was even reported by official media outlets in the Philippines.
And then all of a sudden, he was just a guest character. And he received bashing for "exaggerating his role in Glee." And while his talent was still recognized, he got continuously ridiculed and accused of "becoming a diva" despite not having any evidence about that.
With all the allegations made against Lea Michele about how she has been xenophobic and nasty to those she considers as threats, it makes me wonder if Jake really was supposed to be more prominent in the show but just got sabotaged.

It's not autotune. It's called gating and it's something that's used to give a song a 'dance' kind of vibe. It doesn't actually do anything to tune their voices, it's just an effect. The best thing to compare it to is one of those little microphone toys that make it sound like your voice is echoing.
It’s a stylistic choice. If auto tune is used to actually tune the pitch of your voice you can’t really notice it
