I was a couple years younger than Owen when my stepmom gave birth to my little sister, Emily. She passed away two years ago at the age of 16 from a pulmonary embolism. Seeing Owen carrying Francine brought me back to those days when she was that little. When we'd go out to eat, I'd always walk her around, and would sit in the car with her; that was my job until she was four or so. Around that time, I moved to a different town with my mom. I still got to be around her on weekends and such; until they moved to a different town even further away. Time went by, that little girl became a young girl, then a girl, then a teenage girl. A young man in his 20's and a teenage girl don't have a lot in common. I'd try to read books she like (that explains why I have the Twilight series on book) and talk about the stuff she found interesting. She was really into softball. She would sit in front of the tv watching games the same why I watch my favorite sports. I told her I wanted to see her play, but time and distance made that hard. It's one of my biggest regrets in my life, letting those two thing be the reason I never made it to a game. Not a day goes by I don't think about her. I still think to text her sometimes before realization sets in. I spoke to her briefly a week or so before she passed, and a couple nights before I even meant to text her but figured I'd push it off and do it later. I don't know if you, Owen, will ever read this. But, don't let distance, time, or age difference ever be the reason you don't see your sister. Literally, love and treat her like that moment will be the last. Hey Casey! I know this video is old, and you probably know by now... But the reason the store is closed from lunch time to late afternoon is because the island, being a French island, follows the European tradition of taking what is similar to a Spanish siesta in the afternoon. When I was in Greece and some other European countries, all of the stores closed during these hours as well... Even some of the big name chain stores in Athens. The idea is to go home, have tea and lunch and rest/nap, and come back late afternoon and work until 10pm or so, and then go home and have dinner. In Europe, a lot of people eat dinner really late, things move slower than in the USA. Here, everyone lives so fast and businesses are open 24/7 because money is so important. Studies show that places like Greece have longer life expectancies in part due to resting like this (and their good diets of course lol).
+Zohar Etzion governments made their economies crash because they don't want other countries to adopt a more laid back lifestyle. That wouldn't be "good for business". I agree with the original poster she's absolutely correct. it's a great lifestyle and generally people are more happy and productive.
Who is here during 2020 quarantine like 7 months in and starting over from the beginning. I have been watching this for 4 days straight while lying in bed recovering from a appendicitis surgery. I am all way to 368 vlogs with dan and getting ready to come back from south Africa landing in LAX Casey having him get on a plane to Canada a few hours after. As he wouldn't have it any other way. Along with today's current episode "thank baby jesus" where him and franny chasing a squirrel out of his house and covid ruined Georgies 2nd birthday

Yeah, one time my cousin jumped from a cliff like that in to water, he couldn't really see through clearly and landed on a rock/log (can't remember) He got paralyzed from the neck down.
It's funny cause I feel like most people are way too scared of cliff jumping! Living in Bermuda tourists see me jumping off cliffs no bigger than what Casey jumped off of and they start yelling at me telling me to get off and one woman wanted to speak to my parents because I was jumping. What I jumped was no higher than what Casey jumped. Besides what Casey jumped was not really high and he only needed to clear like 4 feet. I guess people just don't know what it's like to jump from so high into the water. It's not as dangerous as it seems!
This was so awesome to watch, it reminds me of when I was visiting family in Greece this past summer. Can't wait to watch more, I think I like these even more than your other videos you usually post

He continued on with his passion and if anyone deserves the great life it's Casey. To me he's living the best life a person could ever ask for. He has a good family, friends, loves his career, he's goes on adventures every week, travels around the world, has a son and a daughter, he has wealth which though money isn't everything it does give you freedom, he has fans, sponsors sending him free stuff, success (UA-camr of the year, no easy accomplishment), he has mentors and protege's, and he's only 35. yeah and Casey worked soooooo hard to get to this point...he took risks, he had a lot of low moments in his life too but a man is defined by how he handles himself in times of adversity and Casey is one hell of a man! He continued on with his passion and if anyone deserves the great life it's Casey. To me he's living the best life a person could ever ask for. He has a good family, friends, loves his career, he's goes on adventures every week, travels around the world, has a son and a daughter, he has wealth which though money isn't everything it does give you freedom, he has fans, sponsors sending him free stuff, success (UA-camr of the year, no easy accomplishment), he has mentors and protege's, and he's only 35. He's the fuckin man! haha

Casey, I don't think french are lasy because closing between 12h and 15h, especially in areas where it's so hot : they like to eat quietly, and have a little rest, so that they are good for work in the afternoon. what's bad in that ? a little less money, a little more happier...
