Oilers fan but what a career and what an amazing player. You are a hero to the hawks and Canada. Enjoy your family and friends now. You’ve done your part in the nhl.
As a Wild fan I never liked the Blackhawks but I always liked Toews. I don’t know what it was about him but I really enjoyed watching him in his prime when he wasn’t playing the Wild. Congrats on a great career Toews!
As a Canucks fan, I remember hating Toews, Kaner, Byfuglien, Seabrook, Keith during the early 2010s rivalry. But gotta give respect where it's due. 3 Cups and loyal captain to his team. Have a good retirement, well deserved!
Havent cried like this in a while. So emotional, all the memories of my childhood dreaming of being a pro hockey player and toews was in the league the whole time. I cant imagine the emotions im gunna feel when crosby retires. This actually hit harder than i thought. Not a hawks fan but the 2010's were magical with these guys. life man... goes quick.
@@Bubbasvibez team effort yes, but statistically he had the most points in the 2010 olympics, played the best two-way game (analytically), came up in big moments like going 3 for 3 in the wjc shootouts back in 2007. also game up big in the gold medal game in both the WCOH and the 2014 olympics. I'd say he was a good reason for our success. Came up clutch for us
As a oilers fan (not a blackhawks fan) i remember when the blackhawks beat the oilers 7-1 and the 8 point night for oilers player Sam Gagner, well now the blackhawks will hang up number 19 and also number 88 of kane, no one will wear 19 or 88 of the blackhawks, Blackhawks cup Era is over and now its time for a new Era to begin with the oilers, well its time for those blackhawks to rebuild just like the oilers did, one day blackhawks will rise with a new Era in probably 10 years...
Having been originally from Michigan and living in Illinois for 37 years, I was blessed to see the Red Wings win 4 Stanley Cups and the Hawks win 3 . Truly the end of an era in both cities . When it comes to Chicago, JT will always be one of my top Blackhawks along with Patrick Kane.
Mad respect. It's a sad era when these franchises let these loyal champs go. It's going to be rare seeing career franchise players retire where they started. After they had to take that vax! And he gets sick from an immune disorder? I hope he stays healthy. UFA? He's not done! Got something left in the tank.. come play with champs at your level. C'mon over to Boston! You've got a vacant finger waiting for one last ring. We're doing back to back cups! 🐻
He's been very ill-he had some immune response to the Covid vax. I'm not into click-bait, but I've learned to look for the headlines that aren't there Little by little, we're hearing about young athletes keeling over with symptoms related to the vaccine side effects. Many at high school-aged-so they're not hitting national headlines We had an 18 year old hockey player and Canada a few months ago Top athletes Enlarged heart & immune response disorders are 2 of the side effects of that poison NHL isn't talking about it. Over a decade-and-a-half ago, I went three rounds with the CDC. I hope when he's no longer under NHL contract he speaks out about it. No-he doesn't look like himself. He hasn't in over a year.
He's been sick since getting covid vaccine.... He happens to be celebrity, under NHL contract, so we found out about it. We don't know about the millions of others. I already knew I couldn't take the vaccine because I would have an autoimmune response like his. We already knew that would happen in many of us. I already had an autoimmune disorder left over from the CDC not treating tick bite years ago. They take every bodily fluid, usually like a guinea pig and then tell you you're a heroin addict, when you don't even drink! They're not nice people They don't care that they took out an elite hockey player's career
Nah, fair is fair: We gave up Bobby Orr to Hawks, it's our turn! We're doing back-to-back cups and he's still got one empty finger! Lol! He's one hell of an icon-I can't believe he's this old cuz that means I am! We're lucky to have witnessed his greatness -enjoy the playoffs! 🐻
As a lifelong Blackhawks fan, all I can say is,,,, THANKS JONATHAN FOR ONE HELL OF A RUN!!!!!
Lifelong Leaf fan here but much respect for this guy. Great man in the greatest game.

A total gem from the moment he got into the league. I imagine he'll retire and that's okay. Guy won a ton.
Always admired Toews from afar. Mad respect to this first ballot Hall of Famer.
He'll be at Leafs training camp this fall 😂
Thanks for all the gold you gave Canada🥇

Fuck I almost cried when he mentioned the core. Hoss, hammer, saad. Everyone. 😢 end of an era
Hossa was such an amazing player man. I’m so happy the Blackhawks were able to get him a cup win after him losing 2 years in a row in the final
as a hardcore canucks fan - this hits hard
A class act he is!
I’m a leafs fan, but I’m a hockey fan and hockey player first
El cappytan i salute you as many many others do
Hopefully he comes back next season and joins a contender. He has a lot of experience to offer a club. Plus I think he can rebound if healthy.

It’s funny how the teams are Rivals and they have Fans that bounce back and forth
If anyone *is* worthy of this, it's you, Johnny
He's a good Canadian boy.
I wouldn't b suprised if j t retires. What else does he need 2 prove. 1st class hall of fame
Thanks for everything, Chicago is forever in your debt
And Eva era or a start of another.
I think he needs to come back in the first game next season and play then have a retirement ceremony. Then hand the C to the next guy!
