Happy New Year my friend....I don't get these kind of cross wind conditions but the funny thing is we get hurricanes tho :) !!! the ATR dominates regional travel in the Caribbean with almost all major carriers using them....in the early 2000's the Dash 8 dominated but everyone has since upgraded to the ATR I have nothing against the ATR but I grew up loving the Dash 8 more !!!

Hmmm…not sure why the go-around, pilot training? Looked like they had plenty of runway left on the first attempt. If they thought they had a hard landing/ramp strike, not sure why they raised the gear on the go-around? If the main gear was damaged, raising it could amplify the problem, esp if you can’t lower it back down. Cheers!
