This is pretty crazy! It's also just amazing to look at the technological advancements between the 2 models. Truly great grandparent 1st gen next to 4th gen lol I also just purchased my first Aibo ever a black 7 and i'm super stoked that after 12 years of saying I'll get myself one I went or it!
Just got my first Aibo after 9 years of deciding last week, a 210 that I decided to name Vector Gravis, after some very obscure technology, like the Aibo itself (the VETREX and the Gravis Ultrasound) I am honestly shocked at what Sony was able to achieve 20 years ago, especially with my engineering orientated mind.
@@k.i.t.t4914 Oh god, my 210 is a pain in the rear I'll tell you! Such a pain to work on and not break anything. In the end, I'm sure it will be worth it...
@@k.i.t.t4914 Unfortunately, my poor old Vex (that's his nick-name) is in fact broken. During my DHS repair attempt I accidentally inserted the Y-Axis motor assembly in the wrong direction and tore the ribbon cable ever so slightly. Due to the Aibo's failsafe instruction to halt further operation if a hardware error occurs (in this case I believe it was seeing an infinite resistance on potentiometer line 2), he will not boot. I tried repairing the cable by exposing some of the copper to make a complete circuit but had no luck in doing so. I would be able to fix it with a decent micro-soldering station but unfortunately my finances could not afford such a device, nor do I have time to train on it. However, I plan on buying another broken Aibo to part swap. Though, at least his DHS is fixed!
1999 technology gave us the Aibo. Just to give an idea on how long ago that was... -DVD was too expensive for the average consumer, VHS still reined supreme. -The N64, PS1, and Dreamcast were the leaders in home electronic gaming. - The iPod would not be invented for another 2 years. - Blackberry was just starting to kick off. - PDAs were still a popular medium. - Most people had 486i or Pentium 3 processors in their computers. - 64MB of RAM was standard on most home computers. - Film cameras were still way more popular than digital cameras . - Google had just been released and was not popular by any means. - UA-cam would not exist for another 7 years. - The internet was just raising in popularity. I think you get the point. While the ERS 110 and 111 had the looks of a 90s robot, it sure didn't function like one. Happy birthday, Aibo!
Aibo now 22 years old lol I wish I had one these dogs but i still got robots dogs! I had a dream were I got an ERS-110 and 111 and both of them were pink and the eyes were blue and pink and yellow I'm not sure why but it was an amazing dream

Congrats Mitchell on the new pup! Ers-7s are a hand full and I can tell you that just as well as Aibo7m3 can. Hope you have a good time with it!

@AiboFreak - Coneco Announced in 1998, not released
mei has cropped ears like you would expect from an aibo ERS-111 shipped overseas
I think the pink balloons on the floor is confusing the aibo with no ears
Why
Aww. Also one question, can you do a Furby collection video?also what website did you buy you labrador furby from?
