Most people have something they absolutely love. Be it different planning systems, shopping, arts and crafts, etc… I feel like if I am going to have an addiction, having bibles and all the different approaches to enjoying them is a beautiful thing. You will always stay close to God and his precious Son in this way. ❤️🙏🏻
Indeed sis! I think so as well (providing it doesn't become a gluttonous obsession or idolatry, of course). But as you said, if your intentions are pure in wanting to get into His word more and in different ways, and you're using wisdom and not making yourself bankrupt in doing so lol, then I think it can be a beautiful blessing!
Girl you made this video for me because I currently have 4 Bibles for 4 different reasons, but have been pining for one that I've had my eye on for months, but felt so incredibly guilty for not utilizing the other "good" Bible I have for my studies. Ahhh I'm so happy this helped you make that decision! Which Bible were you pining for?! I'm finding I am inadvertently carving a place for us minimalist girlies or those of us who prefer simple, clear systems; and multiple Bibles is really helpful for that. I've also found that different Bibles are good for different seasons in life, and it's OK to rotate them depending on what you need for that specific time!

Keep it fresh - that’s what I need. I have a tendency to make rules for myself and then I get bored following my own rules. Or, how Satan tries to steal our joy in the Word.

Great ideas- my problem is I have several bibles and all are marked, without a coherent system . I just find everything I read so great I can’t help myself😂 and though I started out color coding every time I sit in a different place to read the Bible I pick up a random pen or something that’s there so my color coding gets messed up. So your advice is great for organized people who have one place to sit where all the supplies are accessible, and who have clean bibles 😅. Love what you do sister, I wish I were as neat and organized as you❤❤but I’m happy with lots of color and creative markings in my Bibles ( helps me learn:) and the Lord is fine with my messy but happy times in his word just as he is with you❤

I write quotes from Christian authors that I have found meaningful in. One of my journaling Bibles. Since I find them most often reading devotionals, there is a verse to highlight as well.

These are amazing ideas. I too have several Bibles. I mainly use one which is my favorite. Its a super giant print because its easy for my eyes. Small peont gives me headaches or makes my eyes hurt. Thank you for sharing these great themes!

I have a bible that I take to church and highlight things significant to sermons. One is my study bible that I read first ask all the questions writing down things I don’t understand then I take that and put all the questions and answers and journal it in another bible I also put the questions from church sermons in the journal bible. Then I have my special bibles my Grandparents bibles my bible my Dad bought me and I don’t write in those I do take them to church on special days

I love these ideas. I’ve been praying about a simple way to study the Bible and your video answered that prayer. I’m ordering a NKJV like you suggested because I want to mark when Jehovah is speaking. For anyone looking for affordable pack of highlighters of just one color I found some on Amazon by Mr Pen a pack of 4 for $4.99 (U.S.) they have several colors to choose from. I chose purple I always use purple to highlight about God. Purple reminds me of royalty. Anyway the only thing is they are gel highlighters so if you’re not a fan of gel highlighters they wouldn’t work for you. Thanks again for all the wonderful suggestions 😊

For the problem you're having of the overlap between highlighting God's words and the prophesies of the Messiah, you can underline the prophesies in a specific color and the overlap wouldn't be much of a problem, if any at all!

Thank you! I will be receiving a new bible in the mail this week and this has definitely helped me think deeper about what exactly I want to highlight in it. From your own experience, do you prefer highlighters or the washi purple tape? Pros/cons?
That's awesome! And very mindful of you to be prepared prior to starting to highlight. Good question - I prefer the look of the tape, especially if you have a really expensive Bible; I think it's a great idea as it protects the pages. However, as it is much more time consuming and costly, I find myself being more selective with what I choose to highlight with it. That can be a pro or con depending on your goals. Pens are cheaper and easier to speed highlight more text, but not as neat. You also have the challenge of needing to be consistent with colours. Most nice coloured highlighters come in multipacks, therefore you need to be prepared with a backup plan once one colour runs out. Are you going to buy the whole multi pack again or are you going to look in advance to make sure you can get your most used colours individually? These are all dilemmas I have personally come across and don't have one definitive answer that is best; it all depends on your preferences and options. But it's good to know these things in advance so you can be consistent in your highlighting through the whole Bible. Whatever you choose to use as a highlighter, you will need a lot of it!! I hope that helps you make a decision!

@@cristianasilva6980 Yes this tape is much better than washi tape and it peels off really easily over and over without any damage to the Bible pages! Sure, the highlighters I used were these: amzn.to/4f3giCI (I can't find them on Amazon US). However they only come in a multi pack and this was one of the problems I had that has meant I have now stalled highlighting in this Bible. I don't want to buy loads of packs to only use a couple of the colours, as I'll end up with loads pens that I won't use 🥲. The only brand that offer pastels individually that I know of, are Stabilo and Mildliner (but the amount they charge for one pen you could buy a multipack, it's crazy 🙃). Decisions, decisions!
I think if you do yahweh's words and the prophecies in the one Bible. You should do prophecies as an underlying so you can underline in your highlighted yahweh's words.
I got them on Amazon, sis! I like them too - a little darker than my usual preference, but they were such a great bargain I couldn't resist! The exact ones I used are 5x the price on US Amazon, so here's an alternative that I found that's an even better bargain: amzn.to/3YYuEPy

Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land because he broke the type of Christ when he struck the rock instead of speaking to it as he was supposed to. Abraham willing to sacrifice Isaac is a type of God sacrificing His Son for our sins. Rebekah going to meet Isaac is a type of the rapture…. So many types and shadows. Plus, growing a collection also enables me to offer a variety of options to share on my channel to help those looking for a Bible that fits their specific needs or preferences. I have a bible that I take to church and highlight things significant to sermons. One is my study bible that I read first ask all the questions writing down things I don’t understand then I take that and put all the questions and answers and journal it in another bible I also put the questions from church sermons in the journal bible. Then I have my special bibles my Grandparents bibles my bible my Dad bought me and I don’t write in those I do take them to church on special days

I love these ideas. I’ve been praying about a simple way to study the Bible and your video answered that prayer. I’m ordering a NKJV like you suggested because I want to mark when Jehovah is speaking. For anyone looking for affordable pack of highlighters of just one color I found some on Amazon by Mr Pen a pack of 4 for $4.99 (U.S.) they have several colors to choose from. I chose purple I always use purple to highlight about God. Purple reminds me of royalty. Anyway the only thing is they are gel highlighters so if you’re not a fan of gel highlighters they wouldn’t work for you. Thanks again for all the wonderful suggestions 😊

For the problem you're having of the overlap between highlighting God's words and the prophesies of the Messiah, you can underline the prophesies in a specific color and the overlap wouldn't be much of a problem, if any at all!

Thank you! I will be receiving a new bible in the mail this week and this has definitely helped me think deeper about what exactly I want to highlight in it. From your own experience, do you prefer highlighters or the washi purple tape? Pros/cons?
That's awesome! And very mindful of you to be prepared prior to starting to highlight.
Good question - I prefer the look of the tape, especially if you have a really expensive Bible; I think it's a great idea as it protects the pages. However, as it is much more time consuming and costly, I find myself being more selective with what I choose to highlight with it. That can be a pro or con depending on your goals.
Pens are cheaper and easier to speed highlight more text, but not as neat. You also have the challenge of needing to be consistent with colours. Most nice coloured highlighters come in multipacks, therefore you need to be prepared with a backup plan once one colour runs out. Are you going to buy the whole multi pack again or are you going to look in advance to make sure you can get your most used colours individually?
These are all dilemmas I have personally come across and don't have one definitive answer that is best; it all depends on your preferences and options. But it's good to know these things in advance so you can be consistent in your highlighting through the whole Bible. Whatever you choose to use as a highlighter, you will need a lot of it!!

@@cristianasilva6980 Yes this tape is much better than washi tape and it peels off really easily over and over without any damage to the Bible pages!
Sure, the highlighters I used were these: amzn.to/4f3giCI (I can't find them on Amazon US). However they only come in a multi pack and this was one of the problems I had that has meant I have now stalled highlighting in this Bible. I don't want to buy loads of packs to only use a couple of the colours, as I'll end up with loads pens that I won't use 🥲. The only brand that offer pastels individually that I know of, are Stabilo and Mildliner (but the amount they charge for one pen you could buy a multipack, it's crazy 🙃). Decisions, decisions!
I think if you do yahweh's words and the prophecies in the one Bible. You should do prophecies as an underlying so you can underline in your highlighted yahweh's words.

Personally, my collection of Bibles is still relatively new; I value the process of building it, and each one holds a special place for me. Plus, growing a collection also enables me to offer a variety of options to share on my channel to help those looking for a Bible that fits their specific needs or preferences.
However, I am always open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and if I'm ever led to give some away in the future, I will certainly do so 😊
