Interesting seeing the side bolt on the top plate. When I've grounded a foil and bent my Axis masts, the Axis top plate mast socket deforms right where Armstrong have put this side bolt. I suspect this will mean that if this area is over stressed, the mast will deform but not the plate.
Hey, That is a great Question, because we are using Titanium inserts for the fuse to front foil connection, you do not need to use any Teflon grease on these screws.
Great question. The separate mast top plate makes packdown for travel even more compact than if it was a single piece, and it also makes building out your quiver of mast lengths more cost effective because you end up only swapping out the vertical itself vs the entire thing. The system is super strong and stiff so you're looking at excellent performance in the water.
I have a CF v2 system and the front foil is impossible to remove. I've made sure the fuselage and foil are free of all debris. I end up having to put a block of wood up against the trailing edge of the foil and tapping the wood with a rubber mallet. Is there a better way to do this while at the beach?

Why did you chose to go for a base plate option instead of a full mast like the carbon ones? Is there a technical issue with that?
