Video was so much better than the instructions it came with in terms of pictures being too dark on install sheet. Installed today on my SXT Plus in about an hour, looks great and to me there is a noticeable difference in sound. Has a nice "growl" to it now, especially for a V6.
Why did the tubing come lubricated? Should I wipe or wash it off. I’m sure the lubrication is for keeping the material lasting. My question is should it be removed before installing and running my car after?
LOL hot air intake... people who don't understand the pressures understand the closed hood, hot air goes to cold air. When the hood is closed that intake will suck up hot air since it's not in a closed box. Stock air box is better lol
Oh well it definitely does do something though at the end of the day because throttle response & acceleration is night & day difference on my scatpack.
@@SRTHEMI get the lower hellcat ram intake box man, you will have more power. The throttle probably does feel different and it feels faster but it's just louder. I didn't believe it at first but trust me look it up. If you google the 8 second twin turbo carbon fiber dodge demon demon. They built a beautiful closed ram intake system. Honestly though the box in this video is pretty closed so it's good system. I just prefer the air filter to be in completely closed box so no chance of any hot air getting sucked up lol.
@@Cravenmooreheadism no bro im not listening to the sound it literally gives you better throttle response no bs. Even with my pedal commander when i had the stock air box with the hellcat drop in filter my throttle was still laggy. But soon as i installed my intake it took all the rest of the lag away. I let two people drive my car without telling them what i did on purpose & they both noticed a difference as well. Remember now even some hellcat owners upgrade their intakes & notice better throttle response also.
These would not fit those 2006-2010 RT models. You really want to get something specific for your application to guarantee the best results. Sorry! -Zach

A 3 hour drive averaging 95 100 mph engine got to about 192 195 or so but as soon as I pop my hood and touch my tube ,cold air damn and filter it's cold every time now if that's not a true cold air intake I don't know what is,I do have a 180 jet Thermo and aftermarket oil, trans coolers and I also painted my metal box with about 3 coats of heat paint and then had it wrapped with vinyl before I installed it ,and sealed up any leaks that I saw visible ,but I always have been happy with airraids products ,I have tried K $ N , Spectre ,etc ,and I noticed if any cold air intake system that uses an aluminum tube will get Hot in any kind of weather ,but airraids tubes Never even get hot ! That's my story and I'm sticking to it ! Part no 351 -199 will work for your 06 - 10 only difference is the filter is 10 inches tall and is cone shape ,works and is designed just as good as all the other kits do .
Oh yeah spend the extra money on the full kit,I cannot vouch on the 200 dollar kit ,but trust me you'll be very happy ,the tube and the filter are Huge!!!!

Just had mine installed on my '15 Challenger SXT and it won't start. Prior to the CAI it started perfectly.
This is the mount I need!!! The one they sent me only has two screws for support, therefore it’s loose 😭😭😭
thanks so much, mine didn’t come with any instructions or the clamp for the filter so had to go out and buy one
he really installed the velocity stack in the wrong direction and then fixed it in the final assembly without saying anything. 7:05 vs 10:00
when it rains the water will drip right on the filter! Is there not simply an adapter where I can put a conical filter in the stock airbox?
Says y'all no longer carry this.
This filter was $250 now $399.. inflation 😂

It was probably just so that the tubing can easily slide in together don’t think it would hurt anything
Is this washable by chance?

That's what that I was going to say. Is this product really worth it or is just a scam?
Do you sell the bolt/screws separately? Mine came loose and fell off
I just bought the same setup. Didn't realize it didn't come with the tube. Is there a difference between the two (factory/aftermarket).
My v6 Challenger doesn't want to start after getting it installed at the auto shop. Does anyone know whats going on?
Yes bcz ur sensor is not installed same direction
Where’s the crank case breather line for the 3.6l
I put in nine today. I couldn't find a line to connect. I used the plug included to pit in the hole where the connection would otherwise be made.
@@rickvillyard1985 I was about to start throwing tools. I couldn’t find it until I read your comment lol

Yes it will, Ivan! -Zach
Does this fit 2020 Dodge Challenger?
Hey, man. This does fit a 2020. I just installed mine today.
I don’t have a factory grommet in my fender well
Would this challenger intake fit in a Charger rt
