I'm an old photoshopper who started using Photoshop in V3, 28 years ago. Photoshop emulated Disney-style pin registered film mattes, lith film overlays and 5x4 or 10x8 inch film composite. This is where I came from and one shot could take one or two days and involve studio photography and hours of painstaking work in darkrooms with rostrum cameras. In those days the web hadn't got going and I knew just one person who knew anything at all about the program. A hard, long climb sometimes improved by some intelligently produced books but otherwise you were climbing solo. Of all the tutors of Photoshop on the web I still make a point of watching your channel and encourage colleagues to do so. Not only do I salute your remarkable knowledge but also your good humour and relaxed delivery. Franky, you deserve to stand proud above other workers but you are a credit to yourself and your family for your humble and generous delivery. Many students want to skip basic stuff and jump into controls which put them into a space which puts them off balance. I notice you constantly mix up both advanced and basic skills. This is a very clever skill and done with the lightest touch. Really, well done. John M.
Good to see some old Photoshoppers roaming around. I started with V4, and agree with your points on this dude. There are a massive amount of people over the years who have thrown their hats in the ring of photoshop tutorials, but this dude has perfected every aspect of training people - it's inspiring.
V5 Here. We didn't have youtube back then and books were still pretty great. I have since read/watched thousands of tutorials. I can't say how many hours of the fast 15 or so years. Needless to say I can solidly say Umesh is an outstanding teacher. His teaching style would be perfect in almost any field plus he's pragmatic with what Photoshop is actually for. I think Adobe really needs to listen to people like him to reshape the future of Photoshop because there are too many times I can't justify the time it takes to make simple changes in the world of digital design. Print was all about high quality images. Hardly any of my work gets printed and it's easier to open Canva for a quick background removal than Photoshop because of the amount of Ram that is needed. Photoshop is premium but it's missing a lot of ease of use that other design tools are already implementing. I remember suggesting that Photoshop integrate content aware skill (Back then there was a website called resizr that was the prototype for the idea) It's changes like that and the ability to create ease of use and workflows. Let's face it there will always be a need for customization. We just need our tools to be as easy to use as possible so long as these jobs exist. At the end of the day, so long as you are continue to hone your craft, you will be able to find way to monetize your skills. I want Photoshop to live on as a much leaner, intuitive machine. We can have all the fine tuning options under the hood but repetitive tasks need to be simplified. Like Editing illustrator files within photoshop. Why not run a sandboxed version of illustrator on photoshop? Wouldn't that be easier than opening another program when I need to quickly change a color layer? These seem like tall orders but everyone else is playing on a different level and Photoshop has to up it's game. I am down to using it once a week or so when I spent 8 hours of my day in the program. Templates are the main reason. A communal sharing of file would be nice and guarantee we stay together as a community. I don't mind letting my computer work as a sort of torrent client to share templates with others in the community if that service was free.
@@erik1836 just saw your nice note Erik (and earlier response from other fellow photographers...). Thanks for taking the time to comment. I still use Photoshop fairly consistently, sometimes now to make assets for Premiere and other media software. Early on, I think people were using 25% of its capacity, now probably 5%. Like all those buttons and features on cameras, we all use different things - so I guess we should be grateful. In industry, my experience suggests that most workers seem to have been let loose after a day or two's training, which is a very sad use of a clever piece of software.
I got to say the most heartwarming thing about this video was unmesh being excited and proud about his plugin. And tbh this is a product which makes you think why didnt the original developer did this already. not only this makes compositing quicker but it makes it so easy that even a beginner can do it efficiently. you are an artist, a teacher and a philanthropist. you lack nothing you have immense talent and a huge heart. Hope you get all that you want from life man. respect you a lot.
@@PiXimperfect Please make your new compositing plugin available per month subscription, at the moment there are only option between lifetime purchase and per one year, but I am undecided whether to continue subscribe Adobe creative cloud in 2023 or not and I have only have 2 months creative cloud subscription left, so paying for one year price for your plugin doesn´t pay off for me.
Wow, just amazing what you've given and provided for the community. What a ride it's been watching your channel over the years. You sir, are a legend. Thank you.
This is really great. I'm so happy with my purchase. I need to do a lot of compositing for my art and this will reduce the time it takes me by at least half if not more. I love your video as well, I'm going to probably have to watch different sections multiple times to get everything out of the plugin. But thank you so much for all this hard work.
I usually don’t comments, but for this I have to>>>this is LOVELY. I have already added it to my plugin panel>>>and working on getting full access too. Wonderful tool. You. Are. The. Guy. Thank you for all of the dozens of techniques I've learned over the years. Thank you for your positivity and encouragement. Thank you for your generosity. And thank you and the team for this amazing plugin. I will be forever greatful. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Victory man. Congratulations for all your efforts and specially well packed and organised plugin. i love the organisation of tools more than the techniques used. Congratulations
You saved lots of our time by creating this awesome plugin! you are a man with talent, knowledge, and a good soul. You know Photoshop better than Adobe knows its own soft. Every time I watch your video I learn something crazy, love the way you teach us. . .
Once again you've blown my mind. I've reached for your videos every time I struggles with a composition and learned so much from you doing so. The fact that you've bundled it and offer it at such an affordable price makes me so happy. You'd be cutting my workload in half essentially and offering in exchange give me time to spend on things more important such as family. I'm at awe.
Thank you, Liesa! Time with family is indeed the most beautiful thing. Thank you for reminding me, we usually get so consumed in work that we forget about it.
It's not just learning photoshop from your channel, you love what u do, enjoy teaching and doing for free. Keep going. One thing I wanted to see in the plug-in is adding shadow (shadow has color also and is tricky, don't knownif possible to automate this) but would love it
DUDE!! I hate how easy you're making it but LOVE how easy you're making it! Going to be sitting down to learn this as soon as I can! I have a composite that I did - referring to many of your videos to et it to a stage I liked. Its the most complex composite I've ever tried. Now I want to try it using this plugin and see how it goes. Will keep you posted...
I purchased this plug in so I can take full advantage of it. I find it absolutely, brilliant and amazing!! I don't think any other plugin in Photoshop comes close to matching the usefulness of this one! Additionally Unmesh, thank you for this detailed tutorial that you created to assist us in getting started in unlocking its potential. I'm really loving this!
Just ordered the annual subscription. I enjoy your style, looking forward to getting to know the plugin! I've been using Photoshop on a daily basis since 1996, and love the fact that tools like this can make my job even more efficient.

Thank you so much for the help you give to creators and this plugin will help someone like me that can be a bit slow switching between features and spending a long time with adjustments. I will definitely give this a try.
This was a very good video, thanks for posting it. Your video tutorial series have made me less worried about diving into the Adobe product line. Photoshop has always been intimidating and enticing at the same time. I will start to integrate it into my workflow because of the Plug-in you have developed. Your Plug-in matched with your video tutorials will let me try this Adobe eco-system with confidence there is real supporting tutorials that I can understand and focus on for day to day productivity with high quality compositing.
