The way I interpreted her saying she can't do something or doesn't know what to do in a challenge was that she didn't want to come across as too confident and then feel embarrassed if she didn't live up to the standard she put out there. Lower expectations on herself might be a way of protecting herself. I'm not sure if the way I worded that makes sense but her behavior sounds like something I would do lol.
Sapphira has been slaying EVERYTHING, performance, comedy, personality, lipsyncs, acting, runways. She is the clear frontrunner, Nymphia is amazing but she has struggled a lot.

I've said this before under another dr video: I'm mad fr. The potion usage was such a gag and then nobody went home? What a WASTE. they should've extended or shortened it by a week if they knew they wanted to produce a feel good episode. I liked the season but this ruins all of the suspense they built 😐 feels similar to the golden chocolate debacle in S14 to me. It just took all of the speed out of the seasons twist.

Production stayed with their word. They told plane she had 3 weeks to use the potion. Just because she used it in a non elimination episode is not her fault . The gag was she used it on Nymphia who she knocked out of the Top 2 during the first week which is where she was able to get it. It was a full circle moment

I’m so tired of either queens with lack luster performance/stage presence or people who don’t do drag at all making slick comments about queens like Mhiya. Her performance skills absolutely make her a fantastic competitor and overall queen. Every Queen has their own portfolio of talents, skills, and qualities that are personal to them. I see anyone shaming Q for being probably the worst when it comes to actually dancing because her garments have been consistently grand yet in the case of the opposite everyone is so “irritated” that Mhiya is a stunt queen. Y’all need to do better and just enjoy the show for what it is, and as long as Mhiya can consistently perform to the bar that she has set, all queens should be shaking in their boots. Performance is one of the biggest skills required to work in this industry, looking amazing is great, but performance is what people come to see.

I agree with the assumptions of producers not wanting the their top choices being eliminated so they made everyone safe. I think it could've a great storyline of the underdogs shinning and it would've been so crazy to see a top contender be sent home. It could've been similar to some of the other seasons where a queen can take the spot of another but they actually go through with it. Such a wasted opportunity and truly feel like its anyone's game.

Here’s how I think the episode would have gone if A)there was no immunity and if B) there was an elimination: Bottom 3 would have been Mhi’ya, Plane, and Nymphia. Mhi’ya wouldve been read for being red again, rhyming equal with equal and her oompa loompa look. Plane would’ve got read for her lack of green/too simple dress and being off her game in the performance. Nymphia wouldve been read for her lyrics alone, therefore Nymphia would be low-safe. They’d hand Plane the lipsync and send Mhi’ya home, and Sapphira obviously won the whole episode.
I genuinely thought joking about the bus stop was considered acceptable, because of seeing other queens joke about this to Roxxxy’s face. Even when Roxxxy seemed okay with the joking, I still thought it wasn’t funny, because my heart just goes out to any child who feels unloved and abandoned. Besides Katya joking about the bus stop on All Stars, I could have sworn a joke came up during the Season 5 finale too and that Detox also joked about the bus stop while sitting next to Roxxxy at Roscoe’s. So I can see why Megami might have thought it was okay to lip synch to Roxxxy’s talking. Had Roxxxy called people out in the moment, the way Alexis did when she didn’t like reads about her body size, I think less people would make light of her bus stop experience. Also Latrice talked about her pain with going to jail, and then RPDR made an episode with a theme of going to jail right after that. I got the message that RPDR wants people to laugh at their pain, but maybe some things should never be funny. I wonder how Latrice really felt about that jail episode. Megami’s apology was very well said.
I am hoping Saphira wins but with the way some people are saying Nymphia did the best on this episode and how she was saved on snatch game and this episode and cant stop having this feeling that they are going to crown her cause of all the support she had at the start. I hope the political challenge winner stays always winning the season
I like how the banana thing is simultaneously not recurrent enough to be boring or uninspired and it is also presented in different and creative ways like, branding but also not the same and still room to be visually interesting taking into consideration design, silhouette etc.

I been WAITIIIING for your video. So, my bestie and I have a theory… Jane’s been working with production from day one. Just analize and study her reactions, her words, how often she emphasized being in the bottom this last untucked and how EERLY calm she is all the time. Plus when we lie, mama, we be looking nowhere and Plane Jane seems to be looking for something on the floor always, especially when she’s just said something to the gals 🤭 we suspect that’s also why she’s been so unhinged in a drag age in wich she knew that even other seasons girls came back scared to be ate by the fandom, like Silky, and is the same reason why we been having so many RuPaul’s Best Friends Race (ex. Seasons 12-15). Plane Jane KNEW, for a FACT, that NOTHING would happen to her… almost as if someone, Idk, told her or even made a deal with her 🤭 we also suspect they might have other queens also doing things on purpose for them for whatever x or y deal/promise without knowing other queens might be doing it too. Back to Plane Jane’s thing, it’s a huge possibility when you really think about her behaviour + her run + her actions like with the potion…. Anywho. Please think on this 😂 it’d be fun to see if anyone else had noticed because my best friend and I were thinking about this seperately until I said something and he was gagged that he wasn’t crazy.

I think production pushed Plane to save Nymphia to give her a redemption moment as they knew no one was going home. And they probably assured Plane that she was definitely not going home but didn't say there would be no elimination.
I'm surprised that people see Nymphia as one of the front runners. In some of the episodes she has been almost totally edited out. Also I'm fed up with her constant whining about the challenges. Queens should have FUN in the Drag Race and enjoy the competition. Take Aquaria as an example, she was a true winner in my eyes.
I personally call BS on it being a "non-elimination" episode. What I think happened is the producers and/or Ru Paul felt like the bottom queens this week were all strong competitors, so they shouldn't have to suffer an elimination for a somewhat lackluster performance. Plasma already went home last week, and while she had been near the bottom a couple times before, Plane has entered the bottom for the first time AND saved Nymphia from potentially being in the bottom (it would've either been Dawn or Nymphia against Q if Plane drank the potion). Q is also REALLY strong competition and has been in the top for 80% of the season thus far. I'm okay with it being non-elimination, but I wish Morphine was better prepared for the lipsync lol.
Mhi’ya does more than just flipping in her performances Aimee. She didn’t even flip in the Flowers lip sync and she still killed it. She also did well in the Snatch Game and she didn’t flip.
i think plane wouldnt want to use it on herself, she's got that cocky "i can kill every challenge" schtick going on, and taking an immunity potion doesn't seem like her style. plus, she has to know how much of a gag it would be, and that producers are inclined to keep people around who are giving them good tv.

The way people are hating on Mhi’ya really shows the racism in the fandom. I said this in the Drag Race Central FB page, but I wonder if the episode was always going to be non-elimination or if it depended on what Plane Jane decided to do with the potion. Otherwise, it was a waste and should’ve expired the episode before Snatch Game. I also was not a fan of how the song was put together. The music sounded too loud which contributed to me not being able to decipher some of the queen’s lyrics and it just sounded thrown together (which I mean, I guess they did their best with what they had since each queen’s verse was different, but idk, just sounded messy to me)
Probably because this season is kinda boring overall. I think it’s same reason everyone is saying Plain is good at making reality tv 🙄 no mistress is good reality tv, plain is just a bully with a dwindling character arc. But there’s nothing else to talk about this season so these weak storylines are sticking, imho.
I can see both sides of the Megami thing. Common sense should have told her that using that clip in the mix was in bad taste. But others are right, she admits she did something stupid, apologized, and corrected it. And at the end of the day, only one person's opinion on the situation matters - Roxxxy's. Period. But it also exposes something that people always seem to forget that, especially in the older seasons, a lot of these girls know each other prior to Drag Race. They have existing relationships. That's why they can do these reads and it's harmless fun.
I really am a fan of Plane Jane and of the way she's producing herself this season. However, yes, she was one of the worst that week + the outfit was not it for me, didn't scream "green". Buut - it was soo predictible that she won't use the potion on herself. It wouldn't make any sense for the way she presents herself in the show, even though techniclly it shoud totally make sense. In my mind from the first few episodes clear top 2 are Sapphira and Nymphia. My money is on Sapphira. Then 3 could be Plane, Q or Plasma, if she had not been eliminated. But Nymphia did better than her. So Nymphia's anxiety serves as ammunition against her to give her the narrative that she's worse than Plane.

I have a sixth sense when it comes to Drag Race. I have been watching since season 2 when I was 23 and have seen every subsequent season multiple times. When I processed who was in the bottom, but that they all did incredibly well, I knew that no one would be eliminated. Also, I said it last week and will double down. Mhiya is incredibly arrogant that she thinks she is this lyric writing prodigy when she is rhyming equal with equal and will not take any constructive criticism. It's not the only issue and even if it were, verses like Nymphia's and Jane's fell more to generic self-promotional bitch tracks than a political voice. Even if you consider this season as being filmed before the Gaza war, Ukraine? BLM? Immigration issues (in a season with multiple immigrants and even two DACA recipients) could have fit well into the song, corruption? Drag race does have the chance to be a political voice, I just don't feel it really wants to dare pushing it for its straighter audiences since leaving LOGO. And that's a let down.

Production stayed with their word. They told plane she had 3 weeks to use the potion. Just because she used it in a non elimination episode is not her fault . The gag was she used it on Nymphia who she knocked out of the Top 2 during the first week which is where she was able to get it. It was a full circle moment

I’m so tired of either queens with lack luster performance/stage presence or people who don’t do drag at all making slick comments about queens like Mhiya. Her performance skills absolutely make her a fantastic competitor and overall queen. Every Queen has their own portfolio of talents, skills, and qualities that are personal to them. I see anyone shaming Q for being probably the worst when it comes to actually dancing because her garments have been consistently grand yet in the case of the opposite everyone is so “irritated” that Mhiya is a stunt queen. Y’all need to do better and just enjoy the show for what it is, and as long as Mhiya can consistently perform to the bar that she has set, all queens should be shaking in their boots. Performance is one of the biggest skills required to work in this industry, looking amazing is great, but performance is what people come to see.

I agree with the assumptions of producers not wanting the their top choices being eliminated so they made everyone safe. I think it could've a great storyline of the underdogs shinning and it would've been so crazy to see a top contender be sent home. It could've been similar to some of the other seasons where a queen can take the spot of another but they actually go through with it. Such a wasted opportunity and truly feel like its anyone's game.

Agreed. I enjoy Katya and don't want to send her hate, but I don't find her read funny or clever. It was shocking, and it's not even that it's "poor taste", it's just sad. Nothing subversive was said, just pointing out tragedy and making light of it. Idk, I guess making light of tragedy can be funny, but that just wasn't to me.
Here’s how I think the episode would have gone if A)there was no immunity and if B) there was an elimination: Bottom 3 would have been Mhi’ya, Plane, and Nymphia. Mhi’ya wouldve been read for being red again, rhyming equal with equal and her oompa loompa look. Plane would’ve got read for her lack of green/too simple dress and being off her game in the performance. Nymphia wouldve been read for her lyrics alone, therefore Nymphia would be low-safe. They’d hand Plane the lipsync and send Mhi’ya home, and Sapphira obviously won the whole episode.
I genuinely thought joking about the bus stop was considered acceptable, because of seeing other queens joke about this to Roxxxy’s face. Even when Roxxxy seemed okay with the joking, I still thought it wasn’t funny, because my heart just goes out to any child who feels unloved and abandoned. Besides Katya joking about the bus stop on All Stars, I could have sworn a joke came up during the Season 5 finale too and that Detox also joked about the bus stop while sitting next to Roxxxy at Roscoe’s. So I can see why Megami might have thought it was okay to lip synch to Roxxxy’s talking.
Had Roxxxy called people out in the moment, the way Alexis did when she didn’t like reads about her body size, I think less people would make light of her bus stop experience.
Also Latrice talked about her pain with going to jail, and then RPDR made an episode with a theme of going to jail right after that. I got the message that RPDR wants people to laugh at their pain, but maybe some things should never be funny. I wonder how Latrice really felt about that jail episode.

I been WAITIIIING for your video. So, my bestie and I have a theory… Jane’s been working with production from day one. Just analize and study her reactions, her words, how often she emphasized being in the bottom this last untucked and how EERLY calm she is all the time. Plus when we lie, mama, we be looking nowhere and Plane Jane seems to be looking for something on the floor always, especially when she’s just said something to the gals 🤭 we suspect that’s also why she’s been so unhinged in a drag age in wich she knew that even other seasons girls came back scared to be ate by the fandom, like Silky, and is the same reason why we been having so many RuPaul’s Best Friends Race (ex. Seasons 12-15). I think production pushed Plane to save Nymphia to give her a redemption moment as they knew no one was going home. And they probably assured Plane that she was definitely not going home but didn't say there would be no elimination.
I'm surprised that people see Nymphia as one of the front runners. In some of the episodes she has been almost totally edited out. Also I'm fed up with her constant whining about the challenges. Queens should have FUN in the Drag Race and enjoy the competition. Take Aquaria as an example, she was a true winner in my eyes.

I personally call BS on it being a "non-elimination" episode. What I think happened is the producers and/or Ru Paul felt like the bottom queens this week were all strong competitors, so they shouldn't have to suffer an elimination for a somewhat lackluster performance. Plasma already went home last week, and while she had been near the bottom a couple times before, Plane has entered the bottom for the first time AND saved Nymphia from potentially being in the bottom (it would've either been Dawn or Nymphia against Q if Plane drank the potion). Q is also REALLY strong competition and has been in the top for 80% of the season thus far.
I'm okay with it being non-elimination, but I wish Morphine was better prepared for the lipsync lol.
I don't get why Nymphia is still a frontrunner for a lot of people, shes cute and all but she's been having a few rough weeks already

Mhi’ya does more than just flipping in her performances Aimee. She didn’t even flip in the Flowers lip sync and she still killed it. She also did well in the Snatch Game and she didn’t flip.
i think plane wouldnt want to use it on herself, she's got that cocky "i can kill every challenge" schtick going on, and taking an immunity potion doesn't seem like her style. plus, she has to know how much of a gag it would be, and that producers are inclined to keep people around who are giving them good tv.

(villainy in the sense of drag race archetypes- i don't think Plane Jane is actually a "bad-guy", I think she knows damn well how to get her screen time and what the producers want, and she is doing what she needs to do to maximise her drag race experience. and we love to see it! drag race needs its villains!)

I said this in the Drag Race Central FB page, but I wonder if the episode was always going to be non-elimination or if it depended on what Plane Jane decided to do with the potion. Otherwise, it was a waste and should’ve expired the episode before Snatch Game. I also was not a fan of how the song was put together. The music sounded too loud which contributed to me not being able to decipher some of the queen’s lyrics and it just sounded thrown together (which I mean, I guess they did their best with what they had since each queen’s verse was different, but idk, just sounded messy to me)

Plane and Nympia traveled to Taiwan together and were performing before the show started airing.
I can see both sides of the Megami thing. Common sense should have told her that using that clip in the mix was in bad taste. But others are right, she admits she did something stupid, apologized, and corrected it. And at the end of the day, only one person's opinion on the situation matters - Roxxxy's. Period.
But it also exposes something that people always seem to forget that, especially in the older seasons, a lot of these girls know each other prior to Drag Race. They have existing relationships. That's why they can do these reads and it's harmless fun.

I really am a fan of Plane Jane and of the way she's producing herself this season. However, yes, she was one of the worst that week + the outfit was not it for me, didn't scream "green".

I thought Plane might have been tipped off that it was a non-elimination episode, so she got the most drama available for the potion. By giving it to Nymphia, it implies Nymphia did worse than her. But Nymphia did better than her. So Nymphia's anxiety serves as ammunition against her to give her the narrative that she's worse than Plane.

I have a sixth sense when it comes to Drag Race. I have been watching since season 2 when I was 23 and have seen every subsequent season multiple times. When I processed who was in the bottom, but that they all did incredibly well, I knew that no one would be eliminated.

Ive was never a big fan of Roxy because of her attitude. that doesn't mean she isn't a fabulous queen. I'm begging to like her more now, but the fact that someone used such a horrible experience to make fun or get laughs is so beyond decent. you knew what you did was wrong but you did it anyway. there is no amount of apology that will make up for that. just saying what I think

I wanted to see more of a political voice in the verses so was pretty let down by the song overall. Like gay rights and drag bans are definitely a major issue and reason to vote in 2024. But those seem to be the only things the queens decided to bring up as important. It's not the only issue and even if it were, verses like Nymphia's and Jane's fell more to generic self-promotional bitch tracks than a political voice. Even if you consider this season as being filmed before the Gaza war, Ukraine? BLM? Immigration issues (in a season with multiple immigrants and even two DACA recipients) could have fit well into the song, corruption?
Drag race does have the chance to be a political voice, I just don't feel it really wants to dare pushing it for its straighter audiences since leaving LOGO. And that's a let down.
