Huge drop off at quarterback, new offensive line, and essentially a new coaching staff. That’s a lot for Michigan to overcome without having some drop off. I’m rooting for Michigan, but beating Texas would be an upset.
I guarantee you that Sark and his staff are terrified that the Michigan run game will get going😤. If Warren and the D can keep it close, the Run Game late and Loveland will seal it!!!
Such a great contrast in styles in this game. Texas is fast and athletic on both sides of the ball but they lost alot on the DT line but r better in the secondary. Michigan has questions on offense but seems elite on defense and is playing at home. Could go anyway
3:02 - CSU only averaged 3.2/rush & its longest run was only 13 yards. 77 guys played for Texas. Assume half were on defense. That's a lot of backups on which to pad stats. 3:40 - Running late in the game against an outmanned, fatigued, Group of Five defense. That ain't Texas. It's 2nd team D-line was last year's Arizona 1st team D-line, a team which went 10-3.
I don't care what anyone else's opinion is based upon. What Michigan went through the bricks? They've already laid... even entertaining the idea of Davis Warren, at any point moving forward, undermines all of it... The problem isn't Michigan's players on offense, the problem is the position coach that got advanced to OC, that's the problem. Considering the problem, Michigan has had recruiting q b's and advancing a position coach. To the role associated with developing quarterbacks, knowing that the only role for quarterback, coach is to train up. Pocket passers undermines everything they're doing - the game has changed, and to suit Campbell appears Sherrone Moore is willing to go backwards.
The MI defense will look very different against TX and be very disruptive in causing blocking issues for the TX offense and QB reads. TX will get their plays but so will the Michigan defense. Against Fresno State, I don’t recall seeing one MI offensive pre-snap motion to cause confusion for the FS defense. Not one. Compare that to the multiple pre-snap motions, (1-3) in the Alabama game and national championship game against Washington. IMO, Michigan will implement many pre-snap motion elements to confuse Texas. MI just needs one second of defensive hesitation or confusion for the running backs to get through a hole or for a receiver to create separation.
Of course Warren is not ready! Why would the coaching staff give him thirty-three throws? I would believe thirty-three runs! This staff is bipolar and cannot see the forest from the trees! They have had since January to prepare and they come up with this? Something is completely, completely wrong here!
Going to be all about the defense and toughness in the trenches in this game . Big plays going Michigan's way in this game don't even consider this an upset go blue.
I believe the key in the early game is keeping drives long and keeping there D on the field. Even we only get a FG. Our D will bend but not break. If we keep there D on the field for most the first half the 2nd half will be open as it has been in the past years.
Texas will win handily. This UM O-line is not ready yet. Texas will crowd the box and stop the run while UM will not have the passing game to keep Texas D honest. No JJ to make the big play when needed. UM's D will play well but will eventually be on the field too much and yield a couple TDs. We should improve though, as the season progresses, and have a shot at the playoff.
It was the play calls they were just bad. The horizontal passes were doing nothing. I have to think they will push it vertical. Warren has a arm and they need to use it to really loosen up the Texas d

Texas can go eight deep on the D-line w/veteran players. How deep is Michigan's O-line?

Better start using all the new 4-star recruits let them start earning the free ride through college.

😂😂😂😂😂
What made texas a tough team was Bo Davis! He's gone, Horns Down!
😂😂😂That comment makes no sense.. Obviously you know nothing about Texas.
@MEXICANMETALHEAD512 obviously you forgot the bus Rant, and yes I do

We dont have a quarterback, Period.
Warren can throw but the play calling and figuring the center situation out made the game seem choppy
How do you figure that? If Tyler Morris kept on running downfield on that one play we'd be having a completely different conversation today.

I don’t think Texas will win handily against a proud team playing at home with the best defense in College football.
If Texas has drank the kool aid like everyone else Michigan will be in good shape 😂
@@johnnymaccool9828 unfortunately, no offense to go along with the D.

@@MichiganFanFromBothruMoore If Warren can start going thru his reads and not lock onto first option, then maybe.

Offense looks like it’s a work in progress. They’re terrible. Will get blown out 31-6
