Thanks. I've always selected my cabin carefully but for my upcoming Princess trip two weeks from today the only choice by the time I booked was a guarantee. I am still anxiously waiting my assignment. Your advice about rooms opening up due to no-shows is very helpful and while I hope I don't need it I will keep it in mind
Thank you for the feedback. If you don't like the cabin they assign you, there's nothing to lose by reaching out to them to see if other options are available. I've heard folks have had a lot of success fixing issues using the chat function on the Princess site. I hope you have an amazing cruise!
Good advice I always pay the little extra on cruises to choose my own room after checking all the boxes on my checklist including researching the deck plans I don’t like noise in my cabin that I can control so I always choose cabins with other cabins bellow above and sis by side no connecting cabins and at least 2 decks bellow the lido deck
You never know. I got a GTY cabin on the Caribbean Princess underneath the Lido , beside the kitchen, cabin R622. I expected horrible and it was the best location I ever had. Close to the fantastic terrace pool . The lido area it was under was a quite area that was never an issue. Perfect cabin.

I’m glad it worked out for you! I haven’t always been as lucky with guarantees.
