Marshalling is very tiring, a lot of us are getting older and not so many youngsters are coming through. We don't get paid, it costs us offislanders a lot of money for accommodation etc. On wet days we have to hang about until the clerk of the course gives us the ok to go. Going back to a damp tent with a queue of maybe a hundred for a hot shower is not my idea of fun so i managed to get homestay .We get a discount on the ferry if we do mgp and tt and that's about it . Bunk house style camping in school halls or similiar for marshalls only would be a boon.
Excellent pre-commentary. I hope the TT will go on forever. These types of events are becoming too few and far between due to Gov overreach, nanny state governance and the bubble wrap brigade. Great show. Just a personal opinion, one of the most endearing eateries is the local ladies ( it is predominantly ladies) in the churches/ church halls around the track and just off it. It’s rudimentary but good food and homemade cakes. All served on proper delph. Keep up the good work
Yes me again just day off and thought about this as I am coming back home for this year's TTRACERS bucket list, even though I was born and bread in Douglas and lied there 40years still trying to pick up tips for coming home 🏡 ❤so your stuff is invaluable, the 1 were you and your wife just went shopping in strand Street, its totally different, so any other vids of coming from Liverpool to Isle of man as a footpassanger would be great 👍 thanks for your replys and help ❤😮😮can't wait already, can't sleep properly, can't work properly you all know what I mean Paul ❤

We visited this year for the first time for practice week and I unfortunately suffered a problem with my eye during travel to IOM. Due to the seriousness of the problem we went straight to A&E upon arrival (midnight Saturday) and there was only a small handful of people there due to the time obviously, but I got assessed and was told they would open the eye clinic on Sunday morning for me and was seen then and received treatment and was reviewed on Wednesday before returning home. I felt it was a well run hospital and didn’t seem overrun at all. Anyway just my experience but thought it worth the balance view. Thanks for the guides Frank 👍. Peter
Hi mate, really good informative video, I was at the TT last year we watched at Glen Helen section, and a bloke was there with his selfie stick,videoing and most people told him not to use it, but he was quite aggressive and told a few people to do one, I suppose beer turns people into nobbers.. I'm going this year but it's my last time, after alot of years going to the TT it's become far, to expensive, I realise change happens but, I really do think the TT has had it, I can't see it lasting. Sorry to be down on the TT the racing is second to none, but everything else, you can keep, Tenerrife next year, keep up the good work, mate. 👍😔

There are ten government web cams you might like to see. Web search for Isle of Man live web cams. One picture per minute. The previous day's pictures are put here on UA-cam, about three minute video for each cam.

It’s great to see more races planned for the TT week, but the new race programme could be a problem if there is bad weather. The old format allowed several free days where races could be rescheduled. Does this mean that races will have to be cancelled if there is bad weather?

No one talks about the "elephant in the room", the popularity of the TT decreases, it is a very expensive event and they try to stop this decrease with more races. When the Manx begin to complain about live music in the evening, the vultures are already circling. Let's hope, the TT survives.
Hi! Thanks for the very informative video. I have a quick question: are spectators allowed to drink beer while watching in public locations? For example, can i take a six pack from the supermarket and go sit out at the gooseneck or up at bungalow and drink it while watching?
Great informative video! But can you tell what witchcraft is going on a 25:28 where the plane takes off WITHOUT IT'S Propellers moving???!!!!!! I know the IOM is a special place and all but that's some weird stuff!! 🙃
Cumovers who buy a house on the course then complain about noise,not being allowed to come and go during roads closed and get upset if their frontage is affected by incidents are "interesting " people to put it politely.
Amadeus some questions because i haven't translations. Races this year begin and finish a saturday for next éditions (2024,2025) it will the same ? Mad sunday is finish is there an alternative of it when you Come with bike in the island ? Thanks for your answer.
I think if they keep the new format will depend on how this year goes. If they struggle to get marshals or feedback is bad they probably won‘t keep it. The whole two weeks is basically Mad Sunday now as the mountain is one way for all of TT. Some of the events that used to be on mad Sunday are being moved to non race days. Have a good trip and ride safe!

I know from Manx TT Shirts, the new merchandise comes in 20th May 2023, they are with a new provider now yes, the bushys 2023 front and back design TT shirt already out £12.99. Also I think the new schedule is good, my opinion, I think change is very good, and the extended schedule will be ok, it will be something to look forward to, I'm glad there are no post TT races. Thank you once again for your TT 2023 guide, very thoughtful and good of you. :)
Issues with the riders staying close to the fan zone, then cancelling music after 9pm is a self created problem. If this continuation of removing what makes the TT an event to attend goes on; it won’t be around for much longer. Sure those that live there, have been around for over 100 years since the TT started; so they know that for one week a year one of the main tourist events takes place. They clearly don’t want it, and the council agree. Be sure to put yourselves on the back when the TT and related income dries up.

It’s certainly a possibility.

I love the TT and want it to continue for many years. These things are always a balance. Two hours less live music isn’t the end of TT.
