In this video, I put the final touches on my DIY budget CNC plasma cutter, making it production-ready. Watch as I move it from my work to my home shop, setting it up for future projects. Perfect for anyone interested in CNC
machines and home workshops!

You're so lucky to be able to cut all that stuff from the place you work, pretty cool that you built that, it's such a great feeling when you fabricate.
Looking forward to you're videos.
👍🏻👍🏻
Yes. I'm very grateful of the opportunities I have and I don't take that for granted.
Great work, can't wait to see the next parts ! Greetings from France !
@@sylvaindubois9672 wow. Awesome!
I hope you have another filter on the back of your machine or you have another filter somewhere after the desiccant filter. Desiccant moisture filters should have another filter after it such as a MotorGuard since the desiccant dust can flow out into your plasma machine, potentially ruining the air solenoid and torch consumables. If you build another water table or this ones leaks, buy some marine sealant like Loctite PL Marine or a polyurethane like DAP 18816. Most silicone caulking is not rated for water submersion. I have used both on my last two plasma water table builds. Also, Borax, like the washing powder you can get at Walmart, works as a cheap rust inhibitor. It's all I have used for the past three years with great success. I just flush the table monthly instead of dealing with shipping 5 gallons of expensive cutting fluid.
@@longshot726 I do not have another filter. I'll look into that though. I would hate to ruin an expensive machine like that. Thanks for the tips!
I did my pan drain the same way. Works well. I did chain drags as well however kept the plasma cable still hanging on a pivot above in fear of EMI issues between the plasma and the motor wires. If all of a sudden your machine stops. Pretty good chance it was EMI. I found the arduino very susceptible to being affected by EMI.
@@yoti-fab I might be experiencing a few issues like that. Not quite a full storage. But very slow response times from the machine. All of my cables are shielded and grounded.
Good work keep it up! Subscribed 😁
Thank you. I will try!
Congrats 🎉 thy. Of course, there will be some problems from the beginning. The biggest enemy of plasma cutters is moisture from the supply air. Don't forget to add moisture desiccant
Yes! That's what the air dryer I installed was. The blue beads.
What a cool way to have a budget friendly machine torch. I have a Lotos 5500 DCNC would this work for this
Yes! I've seen others do this with that exact machine
Hey just to tell you when it would not cut at first the new hypertherm detect news consumables so each time you will change them or dismout the torch it will do that I work with the powermax 105 that's why I know
It will do that the first you pull the trigger on your torch (or run the program) ofter changing the consumable after it's ready to cut!
@@thecnorider8763 if only you commented like 2 months ago!
jb weld will work better than caulk on leaking weld.
@@bobrossi1185 ahh didn't even think of that. Just used what was on hand
Please share stepper motor details
@@shivkrupatraders4788 should be in the video descriptions
You wouldn't happen to have a link to the drag chain connecting end, would you? I have been looking for one I can print because I am not the best with fusion360.
@@shanetwogood7893 I don't have a link. It was just something quick I threw together
I would never run a plasma cutter like this that close to wooden walls. That is a fire hazard waiting to happen, sorry to say. You should fire proof the wall with ceramic tiling, sheet metal or a layer of concrete.
@@Luka1180 🤣. The thought did cross mind
Just put up some cement backer board easy cheap solution. Diy solar guys use them to mount inverter to for fire protection if the inverters catch on fire and they hold up to heat great. Class A fire rating. Screw it up just like drywall and call it a day.
@@tangodown2721 yeah I suppose that would work
