I've tried this and it doesn't work. I have a Galaxy J3 Refine. I'm still getting this error since I got it this afternoon and it frustrates me so much. I've tried to troubleshoot on Safe Mode and Emergency Mode and nothing seems to fix it. Restarting my phone does nothing. Updating specific apps doesn't do anything. I can't even do a factory reset because I can't enter my PIN since the keyboard isn't working. I don't have any third party keyboards installed on my phone, I can't search for any on the Play Store. At this point, I've completely given up on solving this problem. I don't want to shill out money to get it fixed, but it might come to that. :(
