I have to truly thank you 🙏🇭🇲, I've recently been put on new Meds for my ADHD ( I'm 60 and wasn't diagnosed til age 50!).
I'd subscribed age's ago, watched, enjoyed but still couldn't get it together apart from now and again!
A million thanks as I started doing 15 mins, got so excited that I extended to what I could do in an hr, and low and behold my home is organised, clean and I feel like I have a life again 🙏🥰 I had a big family dinner on the weekend with 4 of my grandchildren in a lovely home at last 💕 and it's so much easier having my set, two tidy ups through the day. You've changed my life as your beautiful personality kept me going and I never gave up, you're an angel sweetheart 💕🇭🇲

I think its hard to resist the temptation that more containers will help organize. Getting rid of things is FAR more beneficial and way cheaper.

And not buying wrapping paper. I never grew up with it, since my parents reused bags (store-bought ones they'd been given, or fabric ones they made), so I've never bought it. I don't spend the money and I don't have to throw it in the garbage after 1-2 uses (most are not recyclable)

OMG Cass you crack me up. YES I can relate. I have social anxiety and every time we get a new director at work I have to inform them that when I get nervous I think I’m funny and am guaranteed to say something inappropriate. If they laugh, I know I’m good. If they don’t, I know a reprimand is in my future. Luckily our department is a pack of weirdos so if they don’t have a sense of humor they don’t last long.

I noticed some folks commenting about Cas featuring the Container Store on her channel and referring to it as an ad. Well, it is and should be. Folks, Cas brings us tons of FREE content! How do you think she can do that full time if she doesn’t get advertising and/or sponsors? I get it that that this store is higher priced than many viewers can afford but, many of her viewers probably can and do prefer this to less expensive, and, let’s face it, sometimes inferior products. She does lots of dollar store alternatives as well. Even if you cannot afford this store’s prices, you can always get inspiration from what she shows you on this video to duplicate a more affordable alternative. I am one of those that cannot afford these particular products but love the ideas put forth. Cas is truly one of the best and most relatable creators in this category and I find her inspiring in many ways. Thank you Cas!

A cardboard box works well. You can paint or cover with cloth. You can cut handles into them or add some on the sides. You can braid strips of brown paper bag to make any basket. And it costs only your time and creative energy. Nothing has to cost anything when you do it yourself.

When a coworker asked me about it, I told her that my grandmother "un-died". Where this response came from, I have no idea, but the look on her shocked face was PRICELESS 🤣

The groomsmen were acting like they had bouquets, they couldn't find the ring. My Daddy stood in for the father of the bride because his flight was delayed. They came down the aisle waving like Queen Elizabeth. But finally the bride's sister had just had enough and told everyone to knock it off and be serious!
My poor hubby turned to me and whispered, loud enough for everyone to hear, "What a b****!" Then he just sat there looking horrified. I guess he forgot that he doesn't have an inside voice. Everyone turned and stared at him...and the minster looked at him and nodded his head, "yes!"

Believe it or not…. I’ve never been in The Container Store. It looks amazing. I bet I could stay in there for most of the afternoon. Lol. To be honest, I’m kinda glad it’s far away. I googled the closest one and it’s almost 50 miles away. I’d break the bank if I went there! In your video I saw some of the price tags and things seem way expensive to me. $30 for that 4 section turntable? Yikes! I wonder if they have a sweet clearance section. 😊

Hi! I'm new to the channel (May 2023). I loved the ending! LOL! I do something weird too when I'm anxious, nervous, uncomfortable, or bored, I sing Jingle Bells. 365 days a year - you could hear this song come out of my mouth, out of the blue - with or without a prompt. I sing this when I'm uncomfortable. I don't really know why I do this... and I can't seem to stop it either. It started when I was in the Air Force in '93 and has been going on ever since. I also laugh uncontrollably at the word - poop. I really don't know what that's all about either. I could be at THE most solemn occasion ever and I WILL either sing Jingle bells or laugh hysterically if anyone mentions the word poop. It took all my effort... all my strength, NOT to sing Jingle Bells at a funeral I attended. I was sooooo incredibly uncomfortable the entire time and it started spiraling the moment I felt myself needing to sing which then made me even more uncomfortable, which then wanted to make me sing more, and you get the picture. By the time I got in my car and drove off I felt a sense of relief. I no longer felt the need to sing Jingle bells.
Anyway, thanks for giving me space to share. I loved the video and I'm enjoying binge watching while packing to move. Keep up the fantastic work!

Thanks for this, I've never been to the Container Store! I do have a funny border story from my university years, this was pre-cell phones. We had a convoy of 3 cars full of kids going to a friend's cottage in New York state. One guy had a set of walkie-talkie things that we used to chat and keep in touch for the trip. Upon reaching the border, one guy broadcasts to all of us, as a joke, "OK guys, hide the drugs!" OMG. I thought we were all going to get searched for sure 😆

When I get anxious I also talk a lot. I grew up in the 90s/2000s, and if you recall, this was back when emotions were signs of weakness and having them made you unnatural and difficult to love. So I ended up being chatty whenever I'm anxious, and smiling whenever sad, and accommodating/passive whenever angry. Since I grew up (ie recognized that they lied to me about emotions), I've been working on those, especially the last one which can be dangerous.
Also: you should buy yourself one of those unicorn laundry hampers for yourself!

Hi Cas! Whow, it´s amazing!!! Such a shop is my dream and I would probably spend several days there.😍😍😍 In the Czech Republic, we also don't have any huge stores focused only on household organization. Either similar products can only be found online on the Internet (the disadvantage is that I cannot see and compare them in person) or they are available in classic supermarkets or furniture stores. But only always in a small amount - usually just one part of the store... Otherwise, I'm also "weird" when I'm nervous - like you, I usually giggle or try to create a funny atmosphere. Sometimes I get so much joy from gifts that I just jump around. My husband tells me I "froze" at 13.😂😂😂

Love your border story, Cas! My husband and I were stopped at the American border a few years ago, coming home from a trip through Canada. Car searched, no talking(!), freezing cold INSIDE the building (in June!)! It was terrifying to say the least. 😳 The guy in charge was obviously on some kind of power trip, and basically threatened everyone in the room, telling us his height and weight, and that he "could do some damage". We still talk about him to this day. (Should have reported him.) Gosh, and we didn't even say anything stupid out of nervouness to get pulled over!! Go figure! 🤷‍♂️

I loved the end! Our youngest daughter went to Canada on her own, with an empty suitcase to pack her purchases while in Canada! 🤦‍♀️ We’ve travelled the world and told her to NEVER cross into another country with an empty suitcase! She was 21 at the time and they went gentle on her. Just took the suitcase and said what her father and I have been telling her for ages! We have so many suitcase’s in our houses that it a running joke for family and friends to show up to borrow a suitcase for a trip! They also serve as storage for us. We’ll put “grab a gift” in some with labels, of course. And yes, she bought a suitcase and packed it with her purchases. 😂
