On one level, I have much beef with TCS for having ZERO locations in my state. On the other, my bank account is super thankful for this truth.
I know what you mean.
Just what I was thinking! We used to have one nearby, but it went out of business years ago.
I feel you. The closest one to me is 2 1/2 hours away...probably for the best. Though this video has me dying to make a special trip!
The container store is a nice store to visit and get storage stuff. But there are sooooo many online stores like Wayfair & AMZ that carry a larger selection.
Instead of a drying rack I've just been putting wet dishes on a cotton kitchen towel. It's just as good, easy to clean (no gunk!), and doesn't take up as much space.
I think this a great store for ideas, but the same or very similar quality products can be found at discount stores or IKEA or Amazon for better prices, sometimes much less expensive.
Kay! You're nearly 100k! Yah!! I don't know why but this feels deja vu or maybe I time travelled 🤣 😊🧡😊👋💯 Congratulations in advance, sweetie! So well deserved! 🧡👏⭐👏⭐🍭😊🧡
Ohhhh my old Container Store. My sister lives in Natick and I worked in Framingham.
Thanks for taking me with you! 😊
Thanks for sharing your tour of the Container Store. I really enjoyed seeing all of the new items! Blessings!🩵
Thanks for the tour of my favorite store. I go in every time I am near it and look at the clearance. I have found some great things.
I love the section that has a pull out drawer that has a grid so you can measure out your organizers, play with them until you find what you want.
The liquid bar keepers is the BEST. My mom used the powder forever and then switched completely to the liquid.
Wow, ive never been to a Container Store! I keep going to Ikea. Since i love organzing, this store looks so fun. I did not know there were SO MANY kinds of Command hooks!
While Container Store (CS) is great with many choices, they are high in price. I shop both CS and Ikea and tend to stick more with Ikea. There products are every bit as good and at a much lower cost. I just get my ideas from CS and purchase elsewhere.
I always liked going to Bed, Bath & Beyond and you see that they are now in bankruptcy. There prices were also high, but you could get some ideas from them as well.
@Sandra-qs1mi lol yeah, I think I checked out CS online and thought the prices were pretty steep. That's why I haven't gone in person, but it'd be fun just once!
It's been so long since I've been at the Container Store, but anytime I've gone I don't buy anything because I rather go to Marshall's, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, etc for better prices on organizing products (though I mostly go to thrift stores).
The door rack on a wall times 2 for our dvd collection was perfection! I need a TCS near me like last week. Come over to Davenport, IA please!!!
Wait, I have been to that exact store when I visited from the UK. I got so excited when I saw it 😅
One of my favorite stores!!! It's a splurge for sure but great quality. Fun video tour. Thanks!
Hot tip - use kid size felt/velvet hangers - not too small and saves space!
Thanks for the tour ! I live out of country so, missing TCS shopping fix! I don’t actually buy much, but wow the store is Amazing. Your tour was the full store - thanks !!!
I think a tip that many people forget about ESPECIALLY for the kitchen is to measure your cabinets. Knowing the depth is especially important. There were many bins/turntables I couldn't buy because my upper cabinets weren't deep enough.
This was great. I put off going there because I spend so much time.
I have started following a Japanese lady, home care and home making and your system is so much hers. Very good system. Thank you 😊
Kay, I love this video and now I need to go TCS!!!
loved this and that area behind where you are sitting is so nice
Firstly, LOVELY to have a video from you! Secondly, I am tres jealous - we do not have TCS here where I live, and importing from the States is prohibitive, with our currency in the toilet. But what wonderful solutions for organization!!!!!! I have had to make do with tall narrow cardboard file boxes, in under counter areas, made it work! (Thank heaven for chalk paint, and yay! we have some peel and stick now!) The thing I really wish our importers would do, is bring in the entire range of Command Hooks - I love the few that I have found here, they are so reliable! But I never knew there was such a wide range available.....
One of my favorite stores!
It's like we should be best friends! ❤ I died laughing when you gasped about the over the door drying rack. 😂 Totally with you! I freaking love TCS and the nearest one is 50 miles from me.
Ooo, the tilt out hamper!
Capri blue volcano is my favorite candle from Anthropologie! If I ever splurge it’s on that candle. It’s soooo lovely.
I love it tooooooooo 🕯️
Love this! I love bar keepers friend! I use the soft scrub 99% of the time for my Kohler Cast Iron Sink.
That Lomi composter is following me. Never heard of it before and now you are the second person in 24 hours. I’ve always wanted to compost and now that my daughter is interested in gardening, I am saving some money to get it.
I’ve been following its development for a while. I think it’s a good option for those without an option to compost in their area!
Great tour. This store has some awesome items.
Enjoying the video, definitely need those cord organizers and shoe organizers
the acrylic would be great for houseplants WOW
But FR, how is TCS and 3M not sponsoring you yet? ARE THEY DEAF AND BLIND?!
Thanks for going to Natick, that is my store I love it.
One of my fave videos!
I thought NH didn’t have a Container Store but apparently we do. 😅 It’s a little far but it seems like something fun to check out. 😊
That was amazing!!! Time to put in another Container Store order.
I like all the adjustable stuff. I have a stack of organizers in the corner of my room that didn't fit what I needed them for, but I keep because I hope someday something will fit.
I moved and the Container Store is super far away now so thank you so much for this😊
I really enjoyed this, thank you.
I'm so thankful my closest location is a 1.5 hrs away. I also wish I had one closer, so I could browse. I would spend all day in there!!!
One of my favorite places
I like the spice jars by Mari Kondo but I repurpose 14.5 ounce coconut oil jars and buy my spices in bulk. I had a custom made spice rack to fit my top dozen seasonings and mounted it to the kitchen wall. It doubles as a piece of art. A lot of the items at TCS are pricey and I do go there for ideas and find ways to recreate some of the concepts. (See example at top of comment.)
They’ve got some great stuff in there.
I’m sure we can get a lot of this in the UK in the departmental shop John Lewis.
I hate the bamboo range, as I don’t like the colour brown.
I love BKF - any way....I specifically use the soft cleanser to clean my SS appliances...love it much better than the wipes from another brand.
Need to go. I have a very small closet in my guest room. Maybe I should go and look at the Elfa stuff. I live near Charlotte.
Thank you Kay! Love from Connecticut
haven't been to TCS in a while, but now I need to go! It's like crack for me.
Thanks 👏🏾 🎉
What a giant store!! That's amazing!
Why did I think this was a live video? 🤣 Still love it!
LMAO SOON 👀
I like the glass food storage with the silicone tops. I hate plastic.
Which ones do you like?
@@TheOrganizedSoprano Pyrex. They used to come with a glass and silicone lid, but now they don't sell them with that lid anymore (plastic lids). You have to buy a bendable silicone lid by Sophico which I actually like better. They fit by cup size.
@@jeanettemarkley7299 Thank you!!!
Talented !
great video!
I think I'd have to declare bankruptcy if we had a TCS near me....TFS Kay!
Loved this. What is even better is that Natick is only 30 minutes away from me ❤
Looks like you had the whole place to yourself 😊
I got in early 😏
Would like to see a camping gear store that could be used as crossover in normal/small space
Love the Zelda shirt!
Ya-ha-ha!!! 🍃🗡️
I just went there for the first time today! oh man, I could spend all day and a few hundred $$ there!
Which one is bigger Peabody or Natick? I can spend hours in TCS.
Hm...🤔 I think the one in the North Shore is larger? idk lol
I need an entire video on 3M hook installation. I live in an apartment so I always buy removable hooks. No matter which size I get: I follow the instructions, clean the area, blah blah and before I even hook something, the hook falls! Help.
It's important to press the sticky part on for at least 60 seconds. Then wait 24 hours before hanging sonething heavier on it.
those spiral cord labels, wht do you write with on them? I've got a few different types of cord labels and I've used sharpie on them and idk if it's time, heat from the computer, or cats rubbing up on them, but some of them the labels disappear and then it does me no good!
There's none in my area 😭
I know I could use some of these items
the company that makes Weck jars just filed for bankruptcy, so you might not be able to get them for much longer
I think you didn't buy the composter because you saw the price! Hahaha
Lol! It has a high price point! I actually really wanted the simple human compost bin that fits on the side of the trash bin but it doesn’t fit on our model 😭 back to the drawing board
👍
Do they ship?
They do!
You got to film alot 😳. They usually don't allow it.

20 g's for a closet organizer???😖😵💫🥴
Yes! It’s built-in and custom made. It’s like a massive construction project if you get one.
TCS overrated and overpriced.
*death by drooling* It's like a toy shop thirty years ago - so much Barbie furniture and other stuff, and my dolls are sitting on sofas made from chocolate boxes.
Kaye, when I saw the letter tray, I thought of The Minimal Mom's Time-Will-Tell basket, a place to put mail one keeps short term without visual clutter until they expire. Seed catalogs, fabric store sales flyers, and PBS program guides are in mine.
Thanks so much for this update. I now live near Minneapolis/St Paul & my nearest CS is 40 minutes away in bad traffic, so it has become a destination-- not a browse like when I lived near Chicago & CS was midway on my commute. I miss those browsing sessions.
Ah! That’s so funny that she has thought the same thing! I always find that humans are really good with visual limits. Like…don’t take away the possibility to procrastinate but just putting a limit on how much you need to handle in your backlog can make stuff much more manageable psychologically.
Can't wait to hear your Lomi Composter review in a few months/weeks! Thinking about that.
I like the lettercontainrr!
I LOVE Elfa. I agree on the velvet hangers.
I'm starting to think it's a good thing that the closest store to me is 4 hrs away; I would be broke 😆😄
Thanks for showing me around.
Happy to see you out and about! I hope your feet are doing better 💖
One of my FAV stores! I always start on one side of the store and walk to the other side exploring everything. Thanks for the tour. I saw some items I'm going to check out very soon.
I go online and seek out what I need to make sure the location I go to has the item. Then I go right to that section ONLY and then go straight to the checkout. It's a lot safer for my wallet this way. 🤣
What a fun video! Wishing I was shopping with you. They have so many great items. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video! I’m so glad that you made this. I’m moving into an older home with smaller closets, I was wondering if you know the difference between the Elfa Classic Wide Mesh Dresser and the Elfa Platinum Medium Drawer Solution. Which one would you recommend. They look the same, the prices are different. I would like to use one for clothing inside of the closet ie underwear, t-shirts, shorts, etc. The closets are too small to put an entire Elfa system into. Thank you so much❤
Honey do yourself a favor and buy the Barkeepers Friend Softscrub ITS AWESOME!
Loved watching. I have always wondered what they have and now I was able to shop virtually- which is difficult for me to do in person.
❤
I could get into some serious trouble in this store😂.
Hi - any chance you'd be able to share your Notion "schedule"?
i don’t need to see this…i’ll be in TCS over the weekend!
The Barkeepers soft cleanser doesn't work as well as the powder; at least not for me.
Ditto, and it's a pain bc the solids settle to the bottom and form a solid brick that you have to break up and mix. Stick with the original
So close to 100K. Let’s goooo!!! 🔥
My favorite product at TCS are the Stackers jewelry boxes. I'm surprised you've never mentioned those.
I've never used them myself but I think they are pretty cool!
I visit fam & friends Jan/Feb to go to their winter sale. Rt17 in Paramus, NJ. Elf's is my fav for the wire basket drawer setups.
❤ metro. When I lived in my own place I had one similar and yes they work great in small kitchen. ❤ The under the sink product is great because I would have ❤️ to have had this when I lived in small rental apartments. Seeing this video gives me more inspiration for when I get my own place again.
Cool, saw some things I could use that I haven't seen anywhere else. For compost, unless you take your compost out every other day or so, I recommend keeping the bin in the fridge or freezer to avoid smells and bugs.
Oh Kay! It felt like heaven. Thank you for sharing this with me. So much fun. 🤗
I need a store like this in my life ! So jealous... ;-)
Too expensive for this kid!😮
