There is a whole story about what inspired Tom to write this song, but after doing it he took it to the local Black Panthers chapter and they liked it and said when he does a music video, they'd like to be in it, so some of the characters are actually Black Panthers.
I've seen a lot of reactions to this song and your calm, respectful, thoughtfulness made this easily the best reaction I've seen to it. I really enjoy your channel!
@@Sonja_Phillips thank you I just try to be as open minded as I can. I know music is a vehicle for a lot of different points of view but if I’m overly critical too soon, I won’t be able to catch them.
Tom did this song to open up conversation. Because of Tom I started watching reactors and the majority of black reactors that I watch are now some of my favorites. He helps to open eyes to see other peoples perspectives.
I'm glad you caught the most important thing about this video that many other reactors and people hadn't or don't, that this is Tom's view of how he'd feel if he was Black and not how he thinks every Black person thinks or feels, although many probably do. Another great reaction! You're getting so close to 15k. You deserve a gazillion times that. Peace and love brother. Edit. * The people who heard this and got upset were people who already were Tom hater's because of White Boy and they couldn't deal with him showing just how NOT racist he is.
He lived in Crenshaw in South Central LA. All his neighbors were black. They were definitely an influence. He used the real Black Panthers as well. This was the best reaction I have ever seen to this ever!❤ Change is coming bro. Much love❤
This is one of the best breakdowns I've EVER seen of this song. I really appreciate this, Teddy. TM's an empath. "I wanna be an artist with opinions... Everywhere I go, like free those mfkrs." - Who I Am
I love your reactions and understanding of the music that you are listening to at the time. I started following you just for reactions to Tom Macdonald and you never disappoint. Thanks for all that you do my friend and again welcome to the HOG family brother
We're in the same boat, why you tryna make holes? If they sink, we sink, this is madness. Tom Macdonald. Love and respect, brother, hog fam Canada 🇨🇦 ❤
When Tom made this song he was still living in the ghetto and his views were formed in him by those around him and their own views in life He spoke a lot to his neighbours about how they felt in life and created this song Since this song dropped and him moving out the hood to Beverly Hills and maturing in his politics and his views as he got older His views are more different on it all now - especially as the Left has swamped and swallowed the bl*ck community and its issues and started creating a divide as it’s doing with the lgb*q community
The people I've seen get mad about this song are in these catagories (1) Black people that don't exactly deny what he's saying but don't think he has a right to say it, (2) A few black conservatives that feels like it panders too much to the victim mentality, (3) White leftists that think they know best, want black people and all races divided & always mad so they can be controlled emotionally and they know listening to Tom Macdonald will lead them to thinking critically, (4) White fans that wanted Tom to only pander to them.
The problem is, we're all mixed. I get labeled white all the time, when I'm actually native American and Italian immigrant. We need to let go of the past and move forward into the future or we'll forever be held back

it is NOT just BLACKS who live and feel this way, I am a white female 58 yr old raised in the hood, where MY 80 yr old mom STILL lives
The problem is, we're all mixed. I get labeled white all the time, when I'm actually native American and Italian immigrant. We need to let go of the past and move forward into the future or we'll forever be held back
This old vet just pulled up a chair to catch your reaction. HOG for life.
You get it. So many don’t but you do.
