- Join me for my 5k tune up workout. After years of marathoning, I’m working hard to get my track speed back, and I’ll be putting it to the test later this week!

Don’t stop doing speed every week - “Rory Linkletter” 🙌🙌
I always have a lot to learn from Rory. I think that's good advise
lets gooo glad you’re feeling good!! good luck this weekend 👏🏽
Love these videos!
i love your videos and i try to maintain the same work ethic you have, keep making videos goat 💯💯💯💯
I appreciate that, keep at it!
I agree! For me, gaining endurance is so much easier than gaining speed! That’s why I focus on speed work during the “off-season!” Good luck at the 5K!
Would love to see a video were you breakdown some 5k specific workouts!
Edit that is effectively what this video is lol, love it (:
puts into perspective how insane rory linkletter breaking 4 during a marathon build was
Yeah seriously, that was actually nutty
getting fast twitch back is for sure hard
What time is your 5k! Might have time to go watch
My heat is at 8:56pm PT!
What did you use to stick your bibs on the wall? Planning on putting up my ones too but kinda worried abt damaging the wall
Some good ol' sticky tack! Works great, and no fear of paint damage
For the 1600, 1200, 800 and 400 what were your goal paces/efforts? Started at 5k pace and each one got faster? Good luck in your race!
Yeah roughly. I would say 5k effort ish on the 16 and 12, and then faster for the last two
@@mottesen_runs do you taper before races? Or what does the week before a race look like for you? Still a normal long run? Normal weekly mileage?
What time you are aiming for. Based on this workout I guess sub 14:00
Great guessing! My PR is 13:53, aiming for sub 13:50
FIRST LOL
Omg 😲
