Hello, Heidi. It is important to really listen to the story of St. Teresa, and to realize how she had fallen away from her prayer life. We each have a mission, and the mission of St. Teresa was a great one...one which required an intense spiritual and prayer life. When she allowed herself to become caught up in the world...even though her intentions were good...her prayer life suffered. The story of St. Teresa is a message for all of us, so that we do not become distracted or drawn away from our true mission. It is not meant to lead us to despair, or to believe that we are so much less worthy. It is meant to help us in our prayer life, to be confident in the mission that Our Lord has given us, and in His mercy and love. God bless you!

I think it's important to note Luke 12:48 where it says to whom much is given, much is required. St Theresa had immense graces in life as Br. Vincent points to, as a result God expected much of her. At the same time religious have daily requirements to meet, something like 4 hours worth of prayer that are to be met (this might be for Priest's, not to sure though if it also includes Nun's). I say that not to mislead you into a false sense of security but to help you realise that the religious leaders have a higher bar to meet, I have heard that the mortal sin of slothfulness is the laziness of not doing what you should spiritually / religiously. Now I'm in no way accusing Saint Theresa of committing the mortal sin of slothfulness for those 16 years but I do know that religious are obligated to a set standard or daily prayer and she was making excuses to not meet that requirement, I can see that justice towards God wasn't being fulfilled on that part which could be why she ran the risk of being condemned to Hell had she not changed. This goes back to the "to whom much is given..." Lay people are only required for a minimum of 15 minutes worth of daily prayer. As Br. Vincent also pointed out that going for longer periods of time without changing could have led her to commit other grave sins, as God is outside time he also knows of every possibility and outcome for our lives so He'd have known of the choices she could make outside being in a state of God's grace that would lead her to Hell. This is why confession is so important as it's basically placing us back into God's grace to correct our behaviour. Hope this made sense. It's also important to trust in God's and Christ's mercy, trying our best to be imitators of Christ.

Reason and theology was able to find the statement and Michael shows it in his video.

Steadfast faith. A love and loyalty to Christ. An 'orthodox' stance in Your Christian life. Not phoney watered down, self-serving pseudo-christianity.

Prayer is a discipline which requires effort, if only people could realize how powerful prayer is this world and our church could be restored so very quickly. Children need to learn at a young age the importance of praying reverantly and diligently everyday. Prayer should be like the oxygen we breathe for our Soul in worship and glory to God. How very long it has taken me to really apply myself and make a decent prayer offering before God for all he does for me every minute of every day. Please oh Holy Spirit gift me with Perserverance in Holy Prayer and surrender of all to Jesus.❤

VISION: I dreamed that I was busy cooking up something in my kitchen at night, as I had often done while preparing items to sell at a farmers market. As I had become busier, I also had prayed less. I had financial worries and gave up on trying to publish a Christian themed book. That was my status at the time of the dream, and during it, I could see outside through the kitchen window. Something fell from the sky and landed in the backyard with a fiery crash. Whether it was a rocket or a large hailstone, I don't know. I was startled and said aloud, "I really should be praying." And no sooner did I have that thought, when the next fireball crashed right through my roof. It was too late to start praying!!! I woke up very frightened. Remembering psalm 91, you must dwell in the secret place of the Most High in order to be sheltered beneath his wings. I had to change my life, and start putting things of God first. I stopped doing farmers markets and am writing again.

Hello father sorry to intervene I was just curious if you were aware that Padre Pio had fake stigmatas and was deceived by the devil and so was Ignatius of Loyola , as meditation of that kind and "spiritual exercises" are instilled by the devil, these "Saints" were fooled by Satan who transforms himself into an angel of light and paid for their prideful so called ascesis. It is even pityful that a university is named after Loyola and a televesion after Pio in italy. Also pope john paul 2 was an incredible advocate for ecumenism and a heretic. I am not attacking all Catholic faith but trying to open eyes of the faithful. please do not just belive me feel free to research it .@@HeraldsoftheGospel_official

Reach out to Mother Mary, pray the Rosary daily, then start praying 2 till you pray 4. Be joyful and trust God, ask him everyday to have mercy on you and not let you die without sanctifying grace. Ask Jesus to help you fight through the anxiety and fear.

We should bring heaven here on earth while doing our prupose, with God, because we can't do it on our own. We need to live with God. Freely with Him.

Are Catholic beliefs and practices biblical?
The question that concerns every church and its practices should be, "Is this biblical?" If a teaching is biblical (taken in context), it should be accepted. If it is not, it should be rejected. God is more interested in whether a church does His will and obeys His Word than whether it can trace its lineage back to Jesus' apostles. Jesus was very concerned about the Word of God being rejected to follow traditions of men (Mark 7:7). Traditions are not inherently wrong...there are some good and valuable traditions. To reiterate, the concern should be whether a doctrine, practice or tradition is biblical. How then does the Catholic Church compare to the Word of God?
Salvation: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that salvation is regenerated through baptism and maintained through the Catholic sacraments, except through a willful act of sin that destroys the sanctified state of grace. The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace, which we receive through simple faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), and that good works are the result of a changed heart worked out in salvation (Ephesians 2:10; I Corinthians 5:17) and through the fruit of new life in Christ (John 15).
Assurance of salvation: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that
Assurance of salvation: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that salvation is not guaranteed or certain. 1 John 5:13 says that the reason for writing 1 John was so that believers could be ASSURED of their salvation.
Good works: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Christians are saved by meritorious works (beginning with baptism), and that salvation is maintained by good works (receiving the sacraments, confessing sins to a priest, etc.). The Bible teaches that Christians are saved by grace through faith, completely apart from works (Titus 3:5; Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 3:10-11; Romans 3:19-24).
Baptism: In the New Testament, baptism ALWAYS comes AFTER saving faith in Christ. Baptism is not the reason for salvation; it is faith in the gospel that saves (1 Corinthians 1:14-18; Romans 10:13-17). The Roman Catholic Church teaches the regeneration of infants through baptism, a practice never found in Scripture. The only possible reference to the baptism of infants that the Roman Catholic Church can point to is that the entire household of the jailer in Philippi was baptized, as recorded in Acts 16:33. However, the context never mentions infants. Acts 16:31 explains that salvation comes by faith. Paul addressed the whole household in verse 31, and the whole household believed (verse 34). This passage only supports the baptism of those who have already believed, not that of infants.
Prayer: The Roman Catholic Church teaches Catholics not only to pray to God, but also to petition Mary and the saints for their prayers. Contrary to this, Scripture teaches us to pray to God alone (Matthew 6:9; Luke 18:1-7).
Priesthood: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that there is a difference between priests and "commoners," where the New Testament teaches that all believers hold the priesthood (1 Peter 2:9).
Sacraments: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that a believer is filled with grace by receiving the sacraments. This teaching is nowhere to be found in Scripture.
Confession: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that, unless the believer is incapacitated, the only way to be forgiven of sins is through confession to a priest. In contrast, Scripture teaches that confession of sins is made to God alone (1 John 1:9).
Mary: The Roman Catholic Church teaches, among other things, that Mary is the Queen of Heaven, everlasting Virgin and with redeemer who ascended to heaven. In the Holy Scriptures she is portrayed as an obedient, faithful servant of God who became the mother of Jesus. None of the other attributes mentioned by the Roman Catholic Church have their basis in the Bible. The view that Mary was the co-redemptrix and is another mediator between God and man is not only extra-biblical (found only outside of Scripture), but is also unbiblical (contrary to Scripture). Acts 4:12 declares that Jesus is the only Savior. 1 Timothy 2:5 proclaims that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man.
Many other examples could be listed here. These points alone clearly identify the Catholic Church as unbiblical. Every Christian denomination has traditions and practices that are not explicitly based on the Bible. This is the reason why Scripture must be the standard for Christian belief and practice. The Word of God is always true and trustworthy. The same cannot be said about church traditions. Our guideline should be: "What does the Bible say?" (Romans 4:3; Galatians 4:30; Acts 17:10). 2 Timothy 3:16-17 proclaims, "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly prepared for every good work.

Prayers are guides to one’s salvation. They open our hearts to God’s blessings all around us by improving our faith and supporting us whenever we need to overcome our sins, doubts, and insecurities. When you don’t pray, you lose sight of God’s blessings for you. By praying, you reconnect yourself to the Lord’s Divine Grace in relation to your deeds, willpower, and faith.

Hello. If we live the life we are meant to live, all will be well. St. Teresa was called to a very high vocation, and she began to let her prayer life slide. It is a great learning moment when we realize that we are beginning to slide in our spiritual life, as St. Teresa was shown. It is actually a great mercy of God. God bless you!

What a way to tell Jesus his torturous sacrifice on the cross just wasn't quite enough to save us...

    • @HeraldsoftheGospel_official
      @HeraldsoftheGospel_official  5 місяців тому +2

Hello. Not at all. The torturous sacrifice of Jesus was indeed for the salvation of humanity...with conditions. He expects us to live a certain way in order to achieve that salvation, and outlined it very clearly. Do we expect that we can live a life contrary to the will of God and reach Heaven regardless? God bless you.

Thank you for sharing. An easy way to meditate is to read a chapter of the Gospels each day which only takes a few minutes and also an another very easy is to meditate on each of the 5 mysteries of the Holy Rosary every day and then pray it with a lot of love, fervor and attention.
I have many Saints say such as St. Faustina they read a chapter of imitation of Christ and a chapter of the gospel every day. Lord help us to follow their example.
Mary seat of wisdom, pray for us
St Joseph, light of patriarchs, pray for us.
St Teresa of Avila, pray for us. Amen

I think we are not being judged based on some universal rules. It is, according to me, based on how many graces you receive during your life and whether you take them or not. Someone as saint as St. Teresa (feeling so much the presence of God) is being looked upon based on different critieria than others. So there is a danger of damnation for everyone.
On the other hand, poor sinner or atheist (with sinful life) can be saved just because during a day of his death (not knowing it is his last day) feels an urgent feeling to go to mass and pray. And he decides to act based on this feeling/ urgency. This only fact can save him and send him straight to the heaven.
I read Maria Sima book. It is a private revelation so it is up to everyone to believe it or not. Padre Pio is someone who received many graces. She did not interpret it as I did here. But according to her Padre Pio spent short time in purgatory. Is that true? I do not know. But i would guess that criteria for someone as Padre Pio are quite high.
But it is my opinion and I may be worng. :)
