I appreciate your comments about luxury vs. affordable. I actually recently reviewed all of my subscriptions because I'm just a regular, middle class Black woman, and unfollowed content creators who only show luxury hauls or OODs, GRWM - with a little affordable thrown in - because that just isn't me - or most of the nation or world really. I like many of the outfits for inspiration, but I'm out here working my tail off trying to enjoy life, enjoy spending time with family and friends, travel when I can, help others, and leave a legacy for my kids. I'll probably never buy a $1,000 or more purse, or a pair of jeans for $500 - and that's perfectly fine for me. I love my life and purchasing luxury designers just isn't a part of it. That said, I kept your subscription because I appreciate how candid you are, I appreciate when you clearly show that you're re-wearing or re-using items you have, I appreciate when you show multiple ways to wear pieces (that part is fantastic), and I like your style. You're not "cookie-cutter" (ha ha), and I appreciate that too. I especially enjoyed when you shared the history of your rings, because I'm a big "ring" person, and have been for a long time. Sorry this is so long... I hope Carlos's mom is recovering well, and I wish you and your business success, well-being and contentment.

I love your content. I’ve learned so much about styling. My budget does not allow me to buy luxury items but I enjoy the challenge in “getting the look for less”. It works for me!
I feel like there's people using the terms "not relatable" or "too good", etc. as a way to humble people (influencers in this case) and I personally don't appreciate that. Your channel is your channel and what you feature is what you feature. I love seeing luxury content, especially from Black creators especially especially from Black women creators. I don't think you have to be relatable to everyone and that's such a weird prerequisite for a viewer to have in order to enjoy someone's content. I follow a wide variety of people of varying ages and stages of life because I enjoy getting a little peek into how different people live their life. Just because someone can't relate to luxury content doesn't mean the content creator thinks they're "too good" for their subscribers. Anyway, I hope the rest of the day and week went better for you and I just want you to know I really really enjoy your content and I'm so happy I stumbled upon you.🥰

There is a certain communication happening throughout the platforms that is placing a certain shame or blockage against poc/black woman creators growing on their platforms, lifestyle, and experiences. I hesitate to do hauls these days because I rather folks be inspired to recreate a vibe or just enjoy the education or news surrounding fashion. However knowing that community members like you exist, it confirms and pushes me to continue to show what excites me.

I subscribed and I can’t afford a Hermes cuff YET. I subscribed because I love what you share and HOW you share. It’s authentic, it’s honest, and lots of times hella funny. Your style is like no other (you are literally in a lane of your own)… it’s personal to you and our goal as fashion girlies should be to have our own style and your channel/style should serve as inspiration. For instance i might not get a Hermes ear cuff but might try to a cheaper one myself. It’s also kind of you to share suggestions but we as your subscribers can go and google ourselves! PLEASE continue to create around luxury items. I live in an area of Virginia that does not have luxury clothing stores. It’s the area Jenee just moved from. So, I truly enjoy seeing luxury items. Watching content creators remind me of my youth when I would anxiously await my fashion magazines. It’s inspiring and though I may not be able to always afford the luxury presented, I always thoroughly enjoy the pleasure of watching!
This channel may not be for everyone. So, perhaps those people should look for other channels. I don’t typically follow people who consistently do Target hauls. But, I know that there is an audience for It. I wish you all the best!

you know I've realized... I didnt need anymore coats. And every time I would go thrifting in the cooler months, I would come home with two big ole coats and jackets LMAO so I put a pause on shopping during that season so I dont tempt myself smh. I enjoy thrifting too!!! I find so many gems. We don't have many goodwills in Michigan but we have tons of salvation armies and I find really nice boots and shoes there.

there’s a distinct difference between someone who enjoys/can afford to acquire luxury product ad nauseum (or any price point for that matter) + someone who a) has their sense of style down pat b) intentionally curates their wardrobe - at any price point + c) shares in a way that doesn’t feel crass or gauche.
i wish that more people could see past brand names/logos to understand the crux of the messaging - that’s it’s about *how* you style + wear the pieces in your wardrobe + not *just* about the price tag.

Hi my dear!!! yes I had to visit them due to the blueberry lemon poundcake being on the menu!! I didn't regret not one bite! And also the demographic comment was geared more to the luxury / financial aspect. I know my Cookies come in all forms, from all backgrounds, and ages. I do feel the more experienced side of the cookie jar understands me in a way I don't feel I need to explain myself and I love that for me LOL! and yes life be lifing and service providers (especially in beauty) are not given enough grace and it is crazy to me. They are our stylist, therapist, friends, and advisors! they need more love and grace!

The "too good" comments feel racialized to me, like the mental associations people have about who they feel attached to aren't mapping correctly to reality.
