My mothers brother in El Salvador a few year ago right when the gang violence was getting out of hand was killed for not paying the extortion fees they charge on a daily basis to the bus drivers. The first time is a warning they beat you up or other and the second time you don't pay they shoot you. My mother brother was shot 3 times by those pathetic pieces of shit.
My fathers friend who was a cab driver who would give my dad rides when ever he would go over there was Beheaded and they dumped his head in front of his home and his wife found it. I believe my father told me they found his body a few days later in the his cab. They had killed for not paying the extortion fee they charged.
El Salvador is cesspool of gang members and corrupt government that is bought and paid for by the gangs sadly the people feel that they cannot do anything against such horrible violence.
As my mother said "El Salvador was much better during the civil war with martial law being used and gang members, criminals, and drug users would be shot dead. In the morning you would see trucks pick up the dead body from that night. When the war ended the gangs came back worse then before" "what we need is another civil war to kill off all the trash. El salvador use to be a beautiful place"

I was an EMT in a hospital with a large trauma unit and one of my duties was to help unload the helicopter and transport the patient to the appropriate unit. I was amazed at the wide variety of ways people can get mortally wounded and falls were the most common. Falling off of things, falling onto things, falling carrying things, falling in front of moving things, falling from ingesting things, and falling while doing questionable things!

Ostriches do NOT live in Australia. Australia has emus and cassowaries though!
They live just fine here in Aus, but they're native to Africa. I'm not sure if he was joking or if it was a serious mistake.
I have several ostriches on a farm in coastal SE Australia where flocks of wild emu regularly exceed 50 members. Both are majestic and ancient animals.
I don't know why, but I've always thought ostriches we're from Australia, or else the nearby islands.

You're totally right about Pride. We once owned one. It's safety levels are low. A couple of years ago it was usually owned by middle class families, but nowadays people with lower income drive it.
In addition to bad road conditions and unsafe cars, it's usually The drivers bad driving behavior which leads to lethal accidents,especially Pride drivers. We have a saying in Iran:
No matter you're driving a BMW or Mercedes Benz, you will see a Pride in your mirror signaling to overtake😁

I don't know how accurate this is but here in Australia it is commonly believed that more people are killed per annum by falling coconuts than all our venomous and big toothed friends put together. If the news announces that someone got eaten or fatally bitten then it seems that nine times out of ten it's a tourist. ( Now Screening....Final Destination 6.. Backpacker edition ) Not so long ago we had a tourism campaign with the catch cry; "So where the bloody hell are ya?" To which I used to add, "Our pets are getting hungry".

It is interesting that you used Ostriches as an example of an Australian animal. Ostriches are native to Africa and some spots in Asia. That said, there is a large ostrich farming industry in Ausieland which has caused a feral population to develop (although its far smaller than the natural population in Africa. I think you may have meant the Emu. They are another giant flightless bird and they are indeed native to Australia. And now you know! Love your videos man! Thanks for your wonderfully informative videos. I love them and want to watch them all. Your vast array of topics seem well researched. Trying not to be being pedantic but I just had to point out that it was the image of a wallabie, and ostriches are in Africa (we have emus in Aust).
Awareness is the biggest thing in Australia, we grow up being taught about snakes, etc and how to react when we encounter them and even when there is a bite our hospitals are all well stocked with anti-venom. My house backs onto a paddock and we get at least 4 snakes a year come through the yard but not one of my family have ever been bitten, we always check for spiders and such when going into the shed and using things like mowers. The beach is constantly dragged for jellyfish during the season and the river and beach are always monitored for crocodiles and sharks, when there is a sighting the area is shut down until the animal can be trapped and relocated. These animals are very dangerous and outside of the big cities very common but being smart is all that it takes to stay staff.

T2, I am supris4d that you failed to mention that the most dangerous place on Earth is in your very home, exceeding the bedroom, the bathroom is the most dangerous place at home. Every one in my family has had an accident that required a visit to the ER. Yup, the bathroom, is a rather dangerous place if you ignore common saftey practices. I really, don't want to mention the many ways you can injure or even die in the every day bathroom, especially for seniors, but it is a lot.

14:40 the reason falling is so high for emergency visits is because old people fall over and hurt themselves, it happens a lot. Nothing to do with falling off a roof.

Falls might be a problem with the elderly but our ED presentation stats show our admissions due to falls to be around the 15% mark. The "top" admission risk seems to be respiratory (COPD / Asthma), probably owing to the local mining and iron smelting industries. Psychiatric (deliberate overdose / depression / anxiety issues) are up there too unfortunately.

No its not just you lol. A group of scientists did some interesting tests in multiple countries concerning various people’s perceptions of other people’s accents. What they found was that nearly 100% of people associated the mild British accent with intelligence as well as having a soothing effect especially when discussing subjects that would otherwise be stressful. It’s actually called the “James Bond” effect lol
And strangely men responded that if they were going to be spanked they would prefer it be a woman with a British accent lol. Why they were asked about that baffles me lol
