Oh my goodness what a gifted gardening couple. Their gardens are a reflection of the beauty of creation. Thank them for sharing and for leaving me inspired. What a gem.
Amazing shade garden! This couple obviously possesses a gift for horticulture. Not only are they talented stewards of the earth, but they also have an artistic sense when it comes to creating the different spaces and linking them together. They’ve created a garden that is worthy of praise & pride!
Gorgeous garden! I love everything about it... plants, flowers, design, the hardscape including the awesome fencing... and Donna chose a perfect name for their garden. May God continue to bless you both!
What a refreshing oasis of delight! And I especially love the Genesis 1:11-13 reference. Our yard has a couple of similar features: sloped towards the back and 3 trees providing thick shade. Regrettably, we only started our shade garden last year, so we've got a loooong way to go. But looking at Donna's garden gives me hope: by the time I'm 85, we'll have a gorgeous backyard. Hahahaha. (Next time we're in Tennessee, we're going to have to come by)
This is probably one of my absolute favorite shows. Donna did the majority of the education and what a delightful person. I just want to sit with and talk with Donna! The third day garden is such a blessing!
I have a shade garden too. I have a gorgeous holly fern and a royal fern that are the anchors of the shade garden. Its rounded out with hosta, autumn fern and maiden hair fern and hydrangeas.
Its an eye opener for me to see how a beautiful garden reflects the beauty of a gardeners soul. I love this video and will rewatch it over again to gain every brillant idea this garden has to offer. Stunning!
Such a beautiful garden! So much Eye candy I think I’m going to have to watch it again. And the owners excitement just made me smile. She is so blessed to have a husband that shares in her love of gardening. One of the prettiest Gardens I’ve ever seen!
This lady is so energetic and knowledgeable in her gardening ability 🙌🪴she is a beautiful natured women , thank you for sharing your stunning shaded garden 🧤👒🦘🐨🇦🇺🥰🌱
I just watched this segment and just had to come here to comment. What a beautiful garden. I loved listening to Donna describe her plants. The garden fence that her husband made is great. And the name of their garden is just perfect. Thank you Donna for sharing the beautiful space y’all have created!
This is an amazing and inspirational garden! I will watch this episode many times. What this talented couple have done here is breathtaking. Love the name, Third Day. ❤️✝️
So gorgeous!! I am in the process of creating a woodland garden in my backyard and I can only hope mine will be as magnificent as "Third Day" Garden one day!!
Really beautiful, wish I would have started back along time ago only been gardening for a few years and not much accomplished things don't always turn out like you want I change my mind alot too but keep planting every spring and fall
What a beautiful space, I could lose myself for days there! Question: I have a huge maidenhair fern in a 30 gallon pot. I've toted it from rental to rental & now, finally have a home. I'm SO nervous about siting this thing! I live in N. Georgia & am developing the shade bed below front porch under 2 big but not yet mature oak trees. Has yours been able to compete with tree roots for moisture?
Where is this garden located? This is so beautiful, such a serene and peaceful place. So thankful for the desire to save the environment by controlling erosion. Lots of good ideas.
I would take some spike branches and lay em around a border (raspberries) and I leave a small bucket of water nearby the beds/patch, the slugs will usually get attracted to the bucket more than the plants. Worked for my veggies but my hostas for me are no maintenance since they've been around since I was a baby lol. Best of luck!
Donna is delightful and her garden reflects it! Thanks for sharing this!
Donna is so creative and brilliant. She could easily host her own gardening show with her speaking talents, enthusiasm, and appreciation!
This garden is just heavenly. Looks like a great place to be any time of day or season. Truly a work of art!

Beautiful absolutely beautiful! I have started a hosta garden, how do you keep the slugs away?
I would take some spike branches and lay em around a border (raspberries) and I leave a small bucket of water nearby the beds/patch, the slugs will usually get attracted to the bucket more than the plants.
