I don't care if it was meant for the kids; this movie is a special kind of gorgeous. I guess this is what I get for not watching this for a good decade. I'm sitting here laughing my head off and crying like a baby at every little detail.
I remember seeing this movie with my grandfather back in 88 when I was 4. Now I have children of my own and my grandfather passed 15 years ago and every time I watch this movie and this scene, it remembers me of him. A very powerful and emotional movie that will forever be bound to him. DEP abuelito
I used to listen to movie soundtracks only by John Williams and Hans Zimmer. But recently, I heard some pieces of music by James Horner from this movie, and The Grinch (2000), and he has now become another one of my favorite music composers. Gob bless you, James Horner!
It kinda hits you harder when you remember the reality of Littlefoot being the surviving baby of the herd. His mom and grandparents would have been devastated if he hadn't been born to begin with.😢
This movie has a special place in my heart. I use to always watch it when I was a little girl. Just hearing the music brings back memories. Thank you for posting!
I loved this movie as a kid and my wife and I found it in a bin at Walmart for $5. It was part of an Animated Classics Collection with An American Tail, and Balto; which sadly I had never seen until a week ago when we bought this collection. I couldn't get my old 20+ year old VHS copy I STILL HAVE to work and I was absolutely crushed. But I am so glad that we found this movie on DVD so my girls can grow up seeing and experiencing one the greatest animated classics of all time.
Thanks you for melting my heart for years (25years). I still remember the smell of the livingroom when I first watch this beauty💓 Little food.. You gave me memories till eternity
Happy to see people relating, I watched this clip and sobbed like a fool. I haven't watched this in 25 years and still a little too scared to for the emotions it wells up.
Sucks all our former comments are gone due to UA-camkids disabling them. For the record James Horner is still the GOAT and this movie still holds up like no other. Whether I'm 7 or 37.
It’s been three months since I revisited the movie for the first time in years. Good animated flicks where the music is one thing that automatically makes one work like this are so hard to find these days. I know hand drawn is more expensive. But a good animated film is a good animated film no matter what art style it is. Can’t believe James Horner has been gone for nine years.
Earlier this summer I watched the movie again for the first time in 14 years since I was in high school. I was technically staying home on a summer day. But then this time, I was home from my morning volunteer job.
Pure magic. You really feel something special is happening with the birth of that character. They really outdid themselves with this scene, in combination with the music it still resonates with me all those years, even after having watched it countless times. Back then, that movie was about the only VHS-Tape for kids in my house (the other was "home alone"), so me and my little sister, who lived with her mother, visited us for the weekends, watched this a hundred times. Even when I was not watching, i still heard the dialogue and the music when I was around, but still I love this movie. Especially since I lost my own mother at that time (I was 9 years old), so I really could identify with Littlefood.
It was the moment that started it all, a beloved movie saga that's been passed down to generations. I grew up watching the movies that's where I learned about dinosaurs.
It's crazy that music can envoke such emotion that even during a happy and adorable scene it can make you tear up. I thought I was the only one that teared up during this scene but it's nice to see I'm not alone ^~^
The music is so emotional and he’s such a special little guy, they love him so much and it breaks my heart hearing the uplifting music… if you don’t know…
This scene and the one when his mom dies always makes me bawl my eyes out because they always remind me of how much I miss my grandmother 😞😢💔 (she raised me until she died when I was 14 so I had a stronger bond with her than my mother)
Looking back after 1,000 sequels, it's nice to see the characters we know and love being born...though I thought it was funny the only character we don't see hatch is Petrie.
Littlefoot's mother is my only favorite The Land Before Time character and both one of my favorite fictional dinosaurs and animated mothers. I want Littlefoot's mother to appear least as a spirit again, in Littlefoot's dreams and/or in a flashback how she and Bron met in some of the sequels.
I stopped watching the series after Stone Of Cold Fire. And yet I find it so hard to believe that it took 14 years for Universal to come up with the idea of introducing LF’s dad.
Why Littlefoot's mother didn't mind to have some small non-longneck species close when Littlefoot just hatched if all dinosaur kinds didn't live together in harmony yet?
Is it just me or when littlefoot’s mother licks him like 6 times and then no more licking from Dinosaurs and this is a opinion so yea and this is my dads acc
Yes she actually is his biological mother. His grandparents were her biological parents. Besides, her husband Bron confirms that she is his biological mother in the 10th movie and again it was confirmed in the beginning of the 14th movie.

@@robertlauncherMine are Thumbelina and Pebble and The Penguin
This is so touching it's almost painful...
Its hard to watch this movie im not gonna lie to you.
Of course is painful it maybe dangerous
The squealing sound effect for baby littlefoot is just so dang cute.
Its bugging me to death that James Horners passing wasn't mentioned anywhere in the media
When i want to cry like a child..i listen to this soundtrack. It makes me sad..but the kind of sadness that still feels somewhat good.

Rest In Peace, Maestro James Horner. Thank you for the beautiful music.
This music alone chokes me up. It is one of the best scores for one of the best Childhood movies

This song alone is what intensifies the events that follow by a million.
The tears won't stop! Is it the beauty of this scene, or knowing what's going to happen in the next 15-20 minutes?
One of the best animated movies ever.
ever since i saw this movie, i felth like my life was like littlefoots.. but now am 30 and my moms still here, and im thankfull for that everyday
I’m 31 still lucky to have my mom and dad

I agree and Baby Littlefoot is the cutest baby of the group

The composer and the creator of this film made a good team😄
Composer: James Horner
Director: Don Bluth
George Lucas & Steven Spielberg
She makes a movie as Bambi

I was initially exposed to the movie at age 5. And now I’m 31. I just hate how comment sections work these days
This music really conveys a purity and innocence. So precious 🥺
Tough to find film music like this these days. As much as I don’t mind music taking a different approach than traditional orchestra
Awwe!! little foot is so adorable !! :3
Love how the music can represent motherly love, especially when Little Foot hugs his mother :3 Chills all the time

I connected this part to my little dog cash, a german sheppit. The day I saw him, lit me up like a storm, the most happiest I’ve ever felt.
5 Years. Not a single dislike, goes to show the esteem this movie is held with the internet generations.
In Memory Of Judith Barsi & James Horner
Judith Barsi *(1978 - 1988)*
And
James Horner *(1953 - 2015)*
something about the moment at 1:25 just touches me emotionally
Edward Levin yes!! Me too!
It's a mother's love
😥🥺❣️❣️❣️
He’s so loved, the music almost depresses me knowing what happens next, they have a special connection.
Makes me cry every time...
It remembers me my childhood
I am almost crying
Sometimes there are no words that can aptly describe something BEAUTIFUL and TOUCHING and all you can do is say WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!
James horner, composer of some of my favorite movies.... LBT, Balto, and Avatar
0:55 just touches my heart. it's so beautiful, i almost cry.
stg I cried every time watching this movie as a kid and I'd probably cry watching it now
Just watched this movie again, its been at least 25 years+ since I have seen this, got me all teary eyed, such a moving film~

The music just goes perfectly the way she smiles at Littlefoot.

ahhhhh!!!! I love this movie, I watched all the time as a lil kid!
I love it all the dinosaur went live 🦕🦖👍💕
THANK YOU FOR MAKING AN INSTRUMENTAL VERSION OF THIS SCENE.... SO BEAUTIFUL *_*
Beautiful scene and song
Simply the greatest scene in the history of animation
The last time I saw a great animated film was TMNT Mutant Mayhem. They are so hard to come by these days
It was the moment that started it all, a beloved movie saga that's been passed down to generations. I grew up watching the movies that's where I learned about dinosaurs.
I believe this movie and few others influenced me a lot as a child and have had an impact on my life
Only my absolute favorite scene of the entire movie
little foot, yet such a big print
Thank you so much for editing so we can hear this audio!!❤
This movie still makes me cry like a baby 😭😭😭 everytime I watch it which is why I don't watch often.
1:22 gets to me. ❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭

I like how they didn't make the eggs oversized like most people do.
The music is so emotional and he’s such a special little guy, they love him so much and it breaks my heart hearing the uplifting music… if you don’t know…
Everyone: Baby Yoda or Baby Groot?
Me: BABY LITTLEFOOT!!!! 🥺🥺🥺

the only thing i can say is i love you mom :)

Soo beautiful
Why is it sad? It's only Littlefoot Hatching. If it should be anything it should be a blessing and adorable.
*To baby Littlefoot* Goochie goochie goo.
My childhood-memories are hitting so hatd at the moment....
Baby Littlefoot 😱😨🥰
This should have more likes.
dis is such a bootiful scene... makes me crai evertim...
*Giggling* 😁 Look how cute he are.😊
He composed some good music 😃
really nice soundtrack and luv the movie and also rip to judith barsi yep yep yep

We do get to see Chomper hatch in the second one.
They are no sequels in Ba Sing Se!

A moment of silence to the people who searched” movie birth” and have been sent here.
1:00 this scene so sad and music song..😢
Im not crying... Im not crying... But I did It.

Do you think, they’ll be crossover Cartoons: Supernoobs vs. The Land Before Time
Judith Barsi 😢😢
Omg he used Journey of Natty Gann!
which land before time is this??!
+Mastnaer Ceef I think he's serious
The best and only good one.
Why Littlefoot's mother didn't mind to have some small non-longneck species close when Littlefoot just hatched if all dinosaur kinds didn't live together in harmony yet?
Now that I think of it, wishful thinking if you ask me
Well, unlike Cera and her dad, Littlefoot’s mom isn’t openly against other dinosaur races. She just sees it as the way things have always been.

Anyone notice that Little Foot's mom isn't his biological mother. She found him. She loved him like he was her own.

Yeah and the flashback and Bron's backstory is one of my favorites in the sequels.
