I feel so lucky to have experienced this movie as a kid. I remember going with my parents in the early 2000's to see kids/family movies but none of them stuck like this one did. And now I see the movies my niece watches and they NEVER have soundtracks like in the 70s 80s or 90s did. It's all a bunch of modern pop songs. No original composition. It's sad.
Rest in peace James Horner, and thanks for making the music score of my childhood. Bless your soul and your family. And may you forever rest peacefully in the land before time. You will always be missed. 😢😢🤘
Amazing piece of music. also happens to be the first movie I ever saw when i was about 6 or 7.. great memories of the songs from Land before time! RIP James thank you!
The best movie, the best soundtrack, the best 12:45 in my entire life. James Horner with his music and the creator of The Land Before Timeare my childhood and forever in my heart. It reminds me of a time where i was able to live without any pressure, stress, depression ect. just pure happinness, an innocent soul who saw the world as a happy place. Now aged, all of it came over and over again and while the world as in landscape wise (like forests)...society disappointed very much. And yet, my younger me inside me still hopes for a time where everybody gets along even when the reality looks diffrently, it is not impossible though.
This masterpiece always played somewhere in the back of my head. I checked a few days ago and remembered my beautiful childhood. This movie gave me the the spirit of friendship, sacrifice and adventure. Especially the great valley theme moves my heart. Now I am 17 years old and nostalgia accompanies every day.
The emotions of this soundtracks are just so big and intense that I cannot describe them. I grew up as a little child with this movie, but the only thing that I remember are these notes. When the music starts, my brain recall moments I forgot, a sensation of parents love, of safeness and freedom of a child. The music has this power. Thank you James: I would have loved to travel across the world and meet you just to say "thank you". Now that I know I'll never be able to do it I feel so sad, but I will somehow try to let you proud of me, even if you never knew me or any other like me. Thank you again James. You are the father I never had
definitely one of my favorites out there. I also loved TLBT as a kid with my entire heart, and this soundtrack always manages to take me back to those days when i watched this film a thousand times on the VHS at my parent's room. it's amazing. this score is a true gem for me. thanks for uploading!
First movie i ever saw on the big screen when i was 2 years old (yes, i still remember). This soundtrack means so many things to me, along with The Neverending Story... Man, it's overwhelming to say the least!

I truly like this movie since I was toddler. I used own this movie on VHS from my mom and luckily, I finally own DVD version of this movie back in 2015.
3:40 truly one of the greatest, sad pieces of music ever created. I've also been using Whispering Winds from this movie to practice falsetto in my singing lessons. The voices in the background are just hauntingly beautiful. James Horner truly was a genius, and i still find it shocking that he isn't here anymore. It's been years since he passed, but it still doesn't feel real. Like part of me still expects he'll turn up one day and be like 'oh, shit my bad. Did not mean to scare everyone.' And then just create another amazing music score.
Wish he would of done this and an American tail concerts before he passed would of been amazing..... can someone please make sheets for piano for the main title piece from an American tail and put the full piece on musescore thank you
I don't think I really realized the scene when Littlefoot's mother died as a child. But when he was alone and the little dinosaur offered him the berry, I instinctively realized what had happened. That was probably the saddest moment of the film for me. Even after all these years, it's hard for me to watch this scene...
Great sound track, but I can see where they said he pulls from other composer's works. The harmony for "The great migration" is the opening of Wagner's "Rheingold" to a tee, although maybe not in Eb. Let's all be honest though, the "whispering wind" tune is what we're here for.

Back when movies had souls
R.I.P. James Horner, thabks for all the great soundracks
You’re welcome 😊
I guess I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good site to watch new series online ?
@Sterling Braden I would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Keanu Brooks Definitely, have been using Flixzone for since april myself =)
@Keanu Brooks thank you, signed up and it seems to work :D I appreciate it !

This movie is what sparked my intense love for dinosaurs and the desire to learn about them ❤🦖🦕
James Horner was one of the greatest talents of his lifetime. I'm happy we live in a time where his creations can be preserved.
A close friend of fantastic beasts remind me this song. Since min 8
Siii, no animales fantásticos me hizo recordar dónde escuché esto antes

My daughter was watching a snippet from TLBT, and within a couple of notes I knew what she was watching. Music makes for deep memories.

I want to see live version of this so badly
How come that Library of Congress has yet to select this movie for preservation in the National Film Registry?
