The Fact Unity could have been the best Assassins creed is sad because Ubisoft could have made it perfect but the bugs and bad optimization ruined it for me
Well tbh, imo Unity IS the best Ac game. At least in terms of parkour, setting and map design. The story is just poorly written... If they just used the French revolution more for the story unity probably would be the best Ac game.
@@DutchVanDerLinde-lu1xcBecause, don't forget, Ac rouge was made in 8 months and Ac unity was made for 3-4 years. So the reason that there was no revenge plot, or that there was not even a single word about Shay, is because Ac unity was almost done, like Ubisoft only had to "polish" the game. The story was completely finished. They didn't wanted to change the game story plot. Ac rouge was just for those who couldn't get a new console, since ps4 launched at the time of Unity, and we're talking about Ubisoft, ofc they wouldn't miss out the chance of getting more money. It's funny that both games were the same price at lunch. It filled some plot holes for Ac 3 atleast.
IMO, the Persona System from AC Liberation, the Kidnap mechanics, territory system, the combat on the top of carriages from Syndicate, and Recruitment system from Brotherhood are some of the most underrated mechanics which should totally be honored and appreciated. I dont get why there are not more people talking about it.
For ac liberation, it was more unknown. Syndicate is barely talked about and deserves more recognition in the franchise but I do hear, especially recently, about the Assassin Recruits in brotherhood and revelations talked about more
Tombs and parkour from AC2-Rev(and social stealth) with some animus challenges training combat/parkour(brotherhood and revelation did that) and with dark sci-fi FEEL AND ANIMUS FEEL in AC1 with high/low profile, unity/mirage/shadows(ik is not released yet) stealth. Origins/Valhalla combat with great animation and finishing moves like AC3. Modern day like Brotherhood/Revelation when u can go replay the sequences, BOMBS like revelations, more flesh out villains like AC1. Black flag naval combat with ship upgrades or Mansion upgrade or just hideouts with ur Brotherhood missions and ur own assassins to help u like Brotherhood did. Liberation disguise system. thats a dream work.
I have to disagree with Unity. The parkour clips you see hardly represent the game and most of the time the parkour is wonky, doesn't respond as well as other systems, and has some of the most unrealistic animations in the series as far as parkour goes. I agree with some of the other things you said, but Odyssey really depends on how you buuld your character. There are a ton of videos showing you how to have an overpowered killing machine build and I'd probably mix 3 with the Origins/Odyssey combat.
I appreciate your comment. As I said forget bugs etc for parkour. I love the animations in unity personally. And its personal taste for combat I think!
@@TheStickz6 I love AC 3 personally as well. I'd rather have a mix with Origins. As for parkour, mix the colonial games with Mirage for a satisfying realistic parkour.
I think a blend of AC Unity's stealth with Syndicate's stealth features + mirage's polish. Would make the best stealth system. Hopefully shadows outdoes all of this
BRING BACK THE BOMB SYSTEM FROM REVELATIONS. ALSO BRING BACK HOW YOU FILL UP TOOLS FROM AC! WHERE YOU PICKPOCKET FOR THEM. I want to interact with stealth to refiill my tools, not run the the shop every 5 min. I liked in ac1 you have to pickpocket brutes for knives and if you do its a full refill. If you kill the brute and loot him you only get 1 knife. Bring this back so you can get different tools from different enemy types this way. Then bring back people who will hunt and try to kill you while you are steealthing like the assassins in revelations that come up and stalk you from the crowds and slowly try to get up to you and attack. you can spot them before they get to you and make them start running away too. so fun. I hate just going to shops to refill. Those assassins that stalk you in revelations also drop mega bomb crafting mats and so to the grenedere enemies. i never really just bought or refilled my bombs, i interacted with the systems to refill.
you can crouch in the old ac games before unity. just hold high profile and legs but dont move and you crouch and you can actually use it to block line of sight behind waist high objects. just a bit of tech you can whip out in some tricky spots
I think I would pick syndicate for stealth as you can basically do everything in unity and have the kidnapping ability for a movable blend and then mix in mirage a little mostly cause I personally love the bench assassinations that are always low profile and blend
@@TheStickz6 oh yeah I definitely get that and what you were going for. I’m just picky and really wish ubi had someone like you to actually combine things like you suggested, or well another company that doesn’t act like ubi anyways 😅😂
@TheRyno95 haha well thanks for the vote of confidence. It would be impossible to perfect everything in one game. Too expensive and time consuming. But I wish they atleast got the core elements perfect haha
@@TheStickz6 exactly, that has always been my biggest gripe with series especially when they introduce something that’s great (like unity parkour, or even mocap cutscenes) and then abandon it or make a clearance version of it.
The Jacob slander will never not be funny lmao😭 I didn't have that much trouble with unity's parkour so i would say: Parkour: Unity Combat: AC3 Stealth & hidden blade: Syndicate (and only play with Evie) Side missions: brotherhood Story: rogue Side characters: black flag Protagonist: combine Evie's intelligence with Bayek's strength Setting: Japan or London
Something I want to see in the modern day that I don't think you mentioned: the system in modern day felt like a modern day, I could actually be an assassin in the modern day, and that paired with the story of the modern day could make a great assassin's creed game. The levels and missions with the modern day always felt great to me and much more believable to be honest because it's easier to see yourself in that moment since it's happening in a modern environment.
parkour should literally just be the modded parkour that just came out for ac1- revelations. Ac revelations with the hookblade into a vault from a swing like ac1 into footplants and things. Really great parkjour that plays a lot like a skating game trying to find the cleanest lines to take. The mod really opens up opportunities to parkour.
Combat: AC1 Stealth: Kenway Parkour: Classic Tools: Rogue Hidden Blade: Syndicate Setting: I don't know. AC1 is the most fun to run around in, well built for parkour, but I don't have a preference outside of that Modern day: AC1 had the best story in MD but in AC3 we actually got to be a modern day Assassin Story: AC4 Side Content: ACB Isu: AC2 Mission Design: Rogue I missed some but i was trying to this while the video was playing lol

lol me who two shots people on nightmare on odyssey. I’ve never understood why people complain about Odyssey’s combat. You’re supposed to build your character in that game and if you just build it well you can easily take down enemies
Imo, AC players don't even know what they like. Players claim they want stealth, but the stealth in the series has never been that good. Enemies are dumb as hell. In terms of stealth, it will never compare to full stealth games like MGS, Splinter Cell, Dishonored. The best part was the combat. One guy vs a lot of enemies, where you have to counter and parry intelligently. I agree the RPG games are too hack and slash, but even the earlier titles never did it fully right. Like, AC Brotherhood and Black Flag feel cool but are simply too easy. Unity is more annoying than anything else. I'd like something that makes me feel strong while giving me a challenge. That's AC in a nutshell, basically: a game that tries its best to look cool while not playing cool.
Stealth is just different in AC its not like splinter cell or mgs. It's about blending with the crowd. Stealth is good in this series just because its not like other games does not make it bad. AC players do know what they like individually just not as a group which happens when you completely switch genre.
@@TheStickz6 I get what you're saying but even the social stealth part feels lackluster. Like, it's a gimmick that is part of the game, sure, but it's not like they design the game around it. I haven't felt the social stealth an integral part of the game since around AC2/Brotherhood. In the more recent games it's an afterthought.
AC UNITY for stealth? That broken stealth? And just ignoring the Syndicate stealth which works and has more features like picking up bodies, whistling and kidnapping! It's either a smart beyond comprehension or just a dumb choice!
@@TheStickz6 You didn't read properly, did you? I didn't just write about bugs. I also wrote about missing features necessary in an AC game.
