So if I buy a coin named MEME with a circulating supply of a whole 10 coins for $1 each, the value per coin will be $1 and the marketcap 10x that which is $10. If I sell just two coins for $100 per coin, the value will go up to $100 per coin, but that will still give us a marketcap of 10x that which is $1000. This means that, even though a whole $208 was used for those coins, the marketcap will still be $1000.
I don't think it will go that high either. But the number of money in circulation is not directly tied to the price of an asset. The price is just a reflection of what the current seller/buyers bit it up or down to.

All assets will have a tokenized representation of themselves, and each of those digital representations are going to need to live somewhere. There are 19 million bitcoins in its circulating supply vs XRP’s 51.7 BILLION (with a max supply of 99.99billion) Simple supply and demand here people. But the truth is crypto is a very long term investment. You could hold it 10 years before it dose anything if at all. But I do believe your purchase was a smart move. I hope in a year or two it starts to pay off big time. But also remember that you don’t need to cash it out. Just keep it, let it grew. Be your own bank. In time we might can borrow from yourself. For those wanting to understand the market cap debate: XRP is trying to capture tokenization of a $1.2Quadrillion market. XRP to capture just 1% of this market puts it at $12Trillion market cap. As long as your not hurting buy spending that money. If the budget is tight sell something every month that you no longer want and use that money. Please explain why a banking network would use a token as xrp for settlements when the value of the token is volatile and it has an limited amount? So if there are not enough xrp available for transactions it creates a liquidity problem which it is trying to solve in the 1st place ? Market cap does matter and is the reason bitcoin was able to go that high. There are 19 million bitcoins in its circulating supply vs XRP’s 51.7 BILLION (with a max supply of 99.99billion)

XRP is trying to capture tokenization of a $1.2Quadrillion market.
XRP to capture just 1% of this market puts it at $12Trillion market cap.
The derivatives market is $500T alone.
XRP to capture just 10% of this one market put XRP at a $50T market cap.
XRP is also trying to solve the $Trillion dollar market of Real Estate, CBDC, Forex, Debt, Commodities, etc...
The haters and uninformed CAN NOT fathom XRP even at $1T-$5T market cap. This is because:

There is currently $190 trillion dollars of global banking assets in circulation. If Ripple uses XRP to ISO 20022 on the XRPL, with the central banks to the standard of Real Time Gross Settlement or Faster Payments - then YES IT IS HIGHLY POSSIBLE IT CAN REACH OVER $589. Remember $25 trillion is only 13% of the market and you have to think where the other 87% is going towards. I think it greater than $589.
