Hi Mark Enjoy all your vlogs, but especially enjoy it when you take on classic links courses. Looking forward to the rest of St Enodoc. Any chance of heading into Somerset and playing Burnham & Berrow? My brother has bought a house near the course and I could do with some tips before I head down there in the spring. Cheers Tim
Got an idea for you. You should host a competition where us the fans can win a round of golf with you. For example we buy the app, send in a clip recreating one of our favourite moments from your videos and you pick the winner!!
Hi Mark. I noticed you guys are playing from the white tees. At least that's what it looks like. How are they laid out over there in the UK? In the US, the blacks or golds are usually the back tees. The white tees are 2 up from the blacks here with the blue tees just closer than the blacks. I would imagine you guys would be playing from the very back tees being that you are all pros. Are the white tees really the back tees there?
ajegray1 Hmm... I'm pretty sure that's what I said. Please wait while I re-read what I wrote... Yep, that's what I typed; quote: "I would imagine you guys would be playing from the very back tees being that you are all pros." But thanks for agreeing with me. Although my question is still unanswered; I'm still wondering how the tees are laid out (generally) in the UK. Anybody from the UK care to respond and help a guy out? I'm just curious is all. Thanks in advance.
I'm pretty sure most U.K. clubs have red markers for ladies and juniors, yellow for general play, and the whites are competition tees only . If commitee members see you using the whites for general play, they remind you of this . Cheers, Nige .
Leftienige Blank Thanks Nige. Now you have me curious about something else. :-) With only 3 sets of tees, now I really wish Mark Crossfield would include a 5 or 8 second stream of the scorecard from the courses he plays. I'm not asking for any actual scores here. I just think it would be more helpful to the viewers outside of the UK to help us better understand from what yardages those tees are, and what the total "scorecard yardage" is of the front and the back from each sets of tees. I quoted "scorecard yardage" above because if the UK is similar to the US, the scorecard yardage is never correct. I've tested this using my SkyCaddie, and I don't think I have ever, and I do mean "never", been to a course where the actual yardage of each hole matched the printed yardage on the scorecard; in most cases the actual hole yardage is shorter than what's printed on the card. Once again, it would at least be interesting for me if Mark would include a short clip of the scorecard so we can get a general idea of how courses are laid out over in the UK. And as I think about this, perhaps a quick internet search would be in order as well. Not sure. But not all courses in the US post their scorecards online. From my experience, the more suave and stuck-up the course is (country clubs mostly) the less they want to show you without dipping into your wallet.
there are some nice link style course in America just not many. Bandon Dunes in Oregon Links at Ivy Ridge in Buffalo NY. Whistling Straights in Michigan and chambers bay. The UK boys just have more. would love to play them.
hey ***** I live in buffalo NY we just got 7 feet of snow in 36 hours. haven't been able to golf since November 1st and it was 4* Celsius and raining. Not everybody in the USA lives in Florida or California.
"we've got beards and men hitting it everywhere, not very straight and quite wild, so that's as much as i can offer you today, thanks for watching anyway" that's the funniest start i've ever seen
Played there the previous week, in the same wind. Great to see it again and what a fantastic course!
This maybe the nicest course i have seen you play Mark, love the weather
Loved the homage to sophie in the beginning

Some are some are not, we do what we are told by the clubs #teesoftheday
they're pros so would be safe to assume they were playing off the back unless they were closed for repair or something

Big news! SLDR is out of the bag!
Sophieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee .......come back......
that weather....
Besides his fairways, wedges and putter, Crossfield is all Mizuno.
Driver: Taylormade, Fairways: Ping G30, Putter: Ping (I think)
The driver in this video is the Mizuno driver he tested in a previous video. The putter I know for a fact is an Odyssey Versa 9.
I'm not sure if Stompy is being tongue-in-cheek with his first comment?
