In horizontal blocks there are 3 rows, a top , a middle, and a bottom.
Each of these rows cannot have a number repeated. By using combinations of TMB you avoid repeating a number in a row.
If you notice that there is one empty cell immediately fill that number in by counting up to 9.
It's fun when you have solved a puzzle. This puzzle is very easy. It's great to start out using this system for all puzzles. I am the only one on the internet that teaches this procedure.
Warning !! the biggest mistake beginners make is that they try difficult puzzles to soon.

I play Sudoku on "hard" or sometimes even "diabolical" (called on one site) and those usually take me about an hour without getting distracted, but never went through an official learning path (all self-taught). I sometimes do get stuck on tricky situations that require some advanced techniques, so when i came across one of your videos, i decided to just go through all lectures just in case there are any additional beginner tips that i wasn't aware of.. yes this may be a very simple lesson for most people, but it's always good to have a good foundation. And it's a pleasure to watch you teach, so thanks for your series. I'm really looking forward to going through it all.

I learned how to play Sudoku on a hands on approach by simply starting to play the game, not ever reading or watching tutorials of the kind. Most of the things he says here I learned by intuition after playing for a bit because it's just a matter of logic. But it's always good to go back and have a more "formal" approach to solving the puzzles like he is teaching. This is a great video to get started before trying more complex Sudokus.

Hi sir,I am preparing for a medical entrance exam and find myself procrasting on my phone alot,so I thought of trying games that would improve my cognitive performance(and play the games instead of procrastinating)
I was thinking of trying chess but didn't like the idea and then I was reminded of these little boxes,filled with numbers I used to find at the bottom of newspaper ala sudoku

Finally! I, like so many other game players, got it! For "some reasons" for years, I never could get the hang of this "thinking game". After watching this with my wife of 47 years, (on June2, 2023) like Professor Higgins said to Eljza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady": "She's got it...By Jove, I think she's got it!" (Same for...and more so, for me!)

Hello. I am a retired fireman and before I retired, the guys used to play this all the time. I never joined.
Now that I have retired I have taken this up and you have made this very fun.
I get distracted often while I’m doing these puzzles with a phone call or maybe my wife might need me for something. One thing that I do to help me remember where I left off is that I put a tick on the left side when I finish a set of horizontal blocks and a tick on the top when I finish a set of vertical blocks. When I’ve done all three horizontals and all three verticals, I’ll have three ticks on the left and three on the top. By the time I finish a puzzle I might have two or three ticks for each of the horizontals and the same on the verticals. If I have to leave the puzzle I can easily figure out where I left off.

I never truly knew how to play sudoku in a systematic manner, it has always been randomly searching for nos. and after few minutes I would get lost and tear my hair. It's so important to start with an easy lesson and this video has made me hook to your channel. So easy to follow. Robin at the end you said there's a homework for every lesson, did you mean that you give a homework sudoku similar to the one explained in the video? If so, where do I find it?
