- It's getting close to the end of the 2013 / 2014 shooting season but the COT still have a few days to get in before the end of January. This week we head back down to Dorset and I am hoping to bag a woodcock although I am still trying to get used to the new side-by-side shotgun. We find a new species of "self-retrieving" duck and I get all goose bumpy over a retrieve by one of the cockers. Hope you enjoy this one and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to my channel.......
TOO MUCH SHOUTING AND SILLY LAUGHTER
Nice video Nick, reminds me of our beaters day, we had a really good day as well.
Very nice video of these wonderful dogs. I'm getting my first one in April to train for November grouse/woodcock season in Minnesota, and Pheasant season in Western Mn and South Dakota. I'm a "yank", but I really enjoy your sporting from the Brittish Isles. Good hunting to you. Your dog is impeccably trained.
What gauge are u using for woodcock ?
Congratulations for your dogs .....They are really goods !!
Greats regards from Corsica !
Thanks Jean...glad you like the films we have a few more to come before the end of the shooting season. Cheers Nick
Hi Nick, Great films, good to watch, like you i get as much enjoyment watching dogs working as shooting,i have a lab on loan from sister in law through shooting season,
but maybe looking to getting a spaniel in summer, harry, fuss are great good job.
hope to see more soon.iam the one on the left with my nephew who bred all labs
Who needs dogs when ducks cooperate like that xD only joking, lovely dogs and great film (1080 would be even better!).
What make and size cartridges were you using in your 20 bore? Thinking of getting a 20 as my 12 gets heavy on long drives.
Great Dog work however shooting needs to improve. I can see you really enjoy watching your dog work. Regards from Australia.
Hello nick which edition of the go pro 3 are you using? White, silver or black?
Very nice hunt and good working dogs. Your films are awsome!!
Greets from Holland
05:27 why you didn't shot this pheasant ?
Thanks for your videos, it's a pleasure to see the job of your dog...
how come you swapped to the s/s Nick, is it a twenty too? you stopped using the silver pigeon? Lovely piece of work by the dog punting birds up off his nose, no easy task to get them that steady.
Thanks for your message....I always used to shoot with a side-by-side and just wanted to get back a bit of "tradition" in my shooting and yes it is still a 20 bore. It is a lot lighter to carry all day and I have really enjoyed using it for my last few shoots. "Harry" has really been on top form this year and this was probably my best day with him. I have got a few more videos to come this season so watch this space...
A Tufted Boomerang Duck! Pmsl Atb

1:15 probably one of the best shots I've seen
what race is that black little dog?
He is a Maesydderwen bred cocker and he is a bit of a live wire but great fun to shoot over.
