Between the Mask, Earthworm Jim and the Tick, the 90s were a golden age for affectionate parody superhero shows - cartoons that poked fun at superheroes, but at the same time still respected them. I miss that era.
I think about the 2000s and if I should've stopped watching cartoons before adventure time was released

Darkwing Duck was Disney's superhero parody. And Gizmoduck from DuckTales. They don't make cartoons like they used to.

The one that made me fangirl wasn't even tmnt or the mask and not even yakko, pinky, or Pj from goofy movie/goof troop. It was him voicing carl weezer.

we still don't know why but that just makes him scarier
The perfect nemesis for The Mask as Walter is his exact opposite much like The Joker for Batman or Lex Luther for Superman.
The Mask always smiles and confident of facing his enemies, even with the ones who are powerful like him, but when Walter appears well he changes his tone from cheerful to nervous because of him being immune to his wackiness and antics, so though he able to come out on top as always, it’s only by sending him somewhere else which shows that when The Mask who is confident, wild, loud, chaotic, and unafraid, gets genuinely nervous, quiet, and scared like Stanley, it shows just how much he takes Walter seriously as a threat to him.

Rob Paulsen aka YakkoPinky is truly a legend, he did a fantastic job at voicing The Mask in this animated classic.
Yes he did a fantastic job of voicing Stanley and The Mask, to the point of different vocal cords, which as Stanley, he speaks normal, but as The Mask he speaks in a loud, cheerful, voice. He also did a good job of playing both of them at the same time when they both existed with each other.
Loved this cartoon when I was a kid. Showcases what a great range Rob Paulsen had as a voice actor.

I have watched some episodes of the show, and I love those episodes like the two part pilot episode, the ones with different mask personas, and finally the ones that focuses entirely on The Mask as it shows how orderly and humble he really is, despite having a ego, along with being wild and chaotic, but harmless and in control of himself most of the time.
I remember watching this Cartoon When UPN was around The Movie Was terrific

The Mask reminds me of The Joker! Ironically, Rob Paulsen is a lot like Jim Carey! He brings many fun and happy times. Also, he voiced the Riddler in "Lego Batman" and the latter portrayed the same character in "Batman Forever".
I always wondered how cool it would've been had The Joker and The Mask met. I actually think even though they're on opposite sides they'd get a kick out of each other lol.

Well I think that if The Mask and The Joker meet each other, I think The Mask would be like horrified by his willingness to hurt people and that is one of the things he hates very much, so he’ll team up with Batman to stop him though his wackiness and antics might drive Batman up the wall at times and even the Joker to the point to which his ego gets broken by The Mask and begs Batman to take him in just to get away from him. The Mask would pull a wedgie on The Joker which would definitely drive the Joker to tears because of it, while The Mask laughs of doing that.

It did air in reruns on cable, but the only channels that aired it were FOX Family, Cartoon Network, and Boomerang (for the latter two, this show aired on the international feeds of those channels, not the American feed).

Not entirely sure it’s possible, but if they do bring it back with a fourth season, they need to bring back Evelyn, her dog Esmeralda and her alter-ego Eve so that if the Mask creates another mask for Evelyn to wear, he and Eve can meet each other in person and like Stanley and Evelyn get along with each other well because of their similar personalities such as being too strong towards other people, but are kind and polite people who won’t have that problem from each other. They also need to bring back Dr. Neuman’s masked self as well as they could use him as a antagonist in one episode, but after meeting either The Mask or Eve, he realises that he is genuinely insane so he becomes a uneasy ally to them for the rest of the season, and even has episodes that focuses on him and Dr. Neuman such as Dr. Neuman thinks the mask does not work still, even though it does, while his masked self continues doing his job as a psychotherapist to help people with their problems while pretending to be his unmasked self’s twin brother and does keep his insanity in check, and friendly to children, though has to save people from time to time while doing his job, and they also need to bring back Peggy’s masked self that as well, as she is interesting to watch as she is egotistical, vain and tends to spend more time checking on her appearance and going to wealthy parties, but does have a good heart and does save people from time to time as well, and becomes friends with The Mask and Eve as they all share similarities with each other, like being wacky and crazy, but harmless and only causing goofy chaos and nothing else, along with episodes that focuses on Peggy and her masked self, such as Peggy puts on the mask to become a superhero like The Mask, but her masked self is more skewed than The Mask and Eve, so she tends to focus more on doing what she wants instead of being a superhero unlike The Mask who does love his job as a superhero and Eve who though not a fan of superheroes, does overtime enjoy being one, but her masked self does protect the city and save the people in danger if either of them are not around to do that.

I remembered The Mask: Animated Series from the 90's and it's great that first season is on DVD. But I still wished the rest of the season 2 and season 3 were released as well or perhap have all three seasons together as a complete DVD collection instead.
I heard they are doing it on blu ray with all 3 seasons on it with a picture of The Mask writing hello on it, while looking like a cute little kid drawing on it.

@Comic Taku I love it too, as it has episodes that are my favourites such as The Mask is Greener on the other side two part, the episodes that features other different mask personas like Bride of Pretorius that gives out the first appearance of Eve the female counterpart of The Mask and Shrink Rap that also gives out the first appearance of Masked Dr. Neuman as he is The Mask's evil coutnerpart as he wears the same clothes as him with only blue trousers and sneakers the only things being different with him being serious, deadpan and professional, but polite and childish like The Mask, and crazy like him but he is psychotic and delusional unlike him as he denies he is wearing the mask, though he does do his job still and does retain some morals like him such as going to his appointment at the jailhouse and agreeing with everyone else that Pretorius is insane, and the episode Split Personality that shows Stanley and The Mask existing at the same time which gives them the straight man and wise guy dynamic between them the episodes that features The Mask entirely as it gives him episodes to be in as it shows how much of a ordinary man he really is and having adventures of his own, along with how heroic, kind, friendly and noble he really is.
Amazon Prime Video has all three seasons available for streaming. Of course, you have to pay for it.

The Mask: Animated Series was one of my favorite weekday afternoon shows (when the show premiered its 2nd season and syndicated via Bohbot Entertainment, while airing on CBS around the same time (season), mostly on local affiliates debuted in September 1996, I was just beginning 4th grade at Fort Sam Houston Elementary School in Fort Sam Houston, Texas).
this intro always reminded me of the genies intro song to aladdin.. the animated aladdin ofcourse, not the stupid live action one.. they probably got the inspiration from aladdin..

My UPN affiliate, WMMP in South Carolina, aired The Mask: Animated Series weekday afternoons at 3:00pm on the syndicated BKN Kids Network when I watched this in 1997-98.

This one was the syndicated version, which wasn't aired much on cable channels and international TV (they used season three's opening for that).
