Yeah they undermeasured all the lines he drew because they used the start of the ruler edge instead of the start of the first centimetre mark. So he was way off on all the lines technically.
I had a welding instructor back in the day that could snip a welding wire perfectly in half every time.. And there was nothing cooler in the world to us pack of bloody losers.. Hahaha
Lol, I used to build a lot of cabinets. This skill definitely starts to develop once you work with a lot of dimensions, but I'm still not a ruler like this madlad.
I’ve just discovered the pod and listening from episode 1…. Just heard this and came straight to UA-cam as soon as I got home. When he guessed that first line I screamed in the car 😂😂
I can look at any spot and tell you if a vehicle will fit in it and then first try reverse park the vehicle in it. I used this skill when I worked at a dealership and would have to fold down the back seats and open the trunk and climb out that way or climb out of the sun roof after I parked. Folded mirrors on both cars there would be no room whatsoever to open the door even a half inch.
My tech teacher used to be able to do this, he'd put his thumb up against the edge of the table so it would be perfectly straight, shoutout to him, can't remember his name
Actually this is pretty easy if u think about it. If u can visualize your thumb nail to the first knuckle of your thumb on the paper, that's around 2.5 to 2.7 cm. He already has a bonus because most of the time, he has his thumb on the paper and he can quickly refer to it. I'm an engineer and I always lose my meter tape thats why I always look for ways to measure stuff :). You're welcome
Wait so he didn't get the coin ? Ha Ha I thought they were saying he failed as a joke and then they would be like AHHH just joking here's the coin ! I mean the kid pulled off almost a perfect hatrick
He would be much more accurate if they able to lend some sort of unmarked ruler to help drawing straight line. Even credit card or a block of wood would helps a ton
Holy shit that has to be the most cool useless things I’ve ever seen easily
It's not useless. In engineering that's a gift.

Yeah..If you are standing infront of him with a hard on.. the question is why you got a hard on?
His margin of error should have been % based not just 1mm. To be that close on a line that long is insane.

Surely a coin is deserved boys!
The ruler was out!
I could do that in inches to the eighth. Full time framing carpenter lol
In Asia if you use ruler wrongly you can go from millimeter to faMilymater
Really expected this comment section to be a lot better considering this was recommended...
How old is he ? I remember measuring things below 10cm at that age

He better have gotten a coin compared to all the other crabs
It can he do this with really long lines?
I feel like he bs himself through it all lol still amazing

I know the trick. He knows how long is his fingers(thumb and index) and he is using them as ruler or guide for the pen.
Should’ve done a line of 14.235 meters
how many freedom units is that?
0.393701 inches
