I’m awaiting your Quilters Handbook Pauline and have just received my Sashing tools so I’m looking forward to trying out your QAYG technique alongside your excellent video instruction. However, I use mainly white background fabrics and wonder what alternative you would suggest as a double fusible wadding to the “natural” coloured Hobbs? I tend to use pure white Quilters Dream cotton behind white fabric plus 505 adhesive spray. Would this work just as well with your method do you think? Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise!
Hi Moira, I use the Hobbs double sided fusible wadding and I usually use white fabric for the backgrounds on most of my quilts and I do not find that the wadding changes the white fabric at all . I have used the Quilters Dream cotton and the 505 spray some time ago to try it out but went back to the Hobbs fusible as it gives me a much neater finish. Why not do a small sample using the wadding and spray and see if you like the result , I am certain it will work and that you will be happy with it . Cheers Pauline
Hi Julie, I always quilt right to the edge , but if using a detailed pattern that I do not want to trim into I will leave at least 1" space all around to give me trim back and seam allowance space. Hope this helps , cheers Pauline

Hi Pauline, wondering how much gap should be left between your quilting and the edge of the fabric when doing QAYG?. Thanks

Do you square up the block before quilting or after?
Hi Lyn, it's always a great idea to square up the block after you've quilted it in case you experience any shrinkage 😊
do you have US dollar pricing>

I looked at the price of the book which I would have loved….but the price….sorry but something I cannot possibly afford on a measly SS income….😪
