- About The Gyuto Monks:
Gyuto was founded in 1475 by Jetsun Kunga Dhondup and is one of the main tantric colleges of the Gelug tradition. In Tibet, monks who had completed their geshe studies would be invited to join Gyuto or Gyume, another tantric institution, to receive a firm grounding in vajrayana practice. Both of these monasteries used to be in Lhasa, Tibet, but they have been re-established in India. At the time of the Chinese invasion in 1950, about 1000 monks were part of the monastery. On 21 March 1959, soon after the 14th Dalai Lama had left Lhasa for exile in India, Ramoche was a focus of military operations by the Chinese People's Liberation Army. "One especially valuable memoir is provided by the Fifth Yulo Rinpoche, a monk at Gyuto Upper Tantric College and organizer of defense of Ramoche Temple, who says that 'the Chinese Communists shot Tibetans indiscriminately, whether they had taken part in the resistance or not, and ambushed and killed many Tibetans who ran to Ngabo's house for sanctuary.' Another witness, Jampa Tenzin, has stated in a personal interview that he saw fleeing beggars and children slain near Ramoche Temple, a report corroborated in other Tibetan memoirs."
60 Gyuto monks fled to India in 1959. After initially gathering in Dalhousie, India, the monastery was established in Tenzing Gang, in Arunachal Pradesh, India. The main monastery is now based in Sidhbari, near Dharamsala, India. Today, there are nearly 500 monks in the entire order. Ramoche Temple in Lhasa was located inside Gyuto Monastery.
The Gyuto monks are known for their tradition of overtone singing, also described as "chordal chanting" which is said to have been transmitted by their founder. It achieved renown in the West following the release of recordings made by David Lewiston in 1974 and in 1986 by Windham Hill Records.
In 1995, a group of Gyuto Monks travelled to the United States and performed during a series of concerts with the Grateful Dead. Under the name "Gyüto Monks Tantric Choir", they appeared on the Mickey Hart/Planet Drum album Supralingua.

@@HeddvildNo Your religion is built on blood, half-truths and hypocrisy. And the fact you all believe that Jesus would support everything you have done in his name since his time makes it all the more laughable, not to mention how quick you are to hate on Jews while your 'god' is literally a Jew, which would technically make you all Jewish yourselves. xD
@@PainfulSin2811170 Loved your comment!
@@HeddvildNo Jesus and Christianity have killed millions and is no where as old or pure as Buddhist . Sorry I wish you peace and clarity in your egotistical religion have fun preying on the weak .

Powerfully words
I hope i'll go to Tibet someday and listen to this live..
Yep - that would be amazing.
🙏🏼💓🙏🏼
Currently Gyuto monastry is present in India at Dharamshala.
Tibetan culture is being preserved in India by Tibetan refugees.
we don't go to Tibet. The chinese have turned from repressing Dharma there to turning religion into an amusement park attraction. go to India, my friend.
Kopan monastery at Nepal is good from what i hear.
These powerful chants protect the whole world and universe, destroying of the very essence of the root of evil everywhere in all beings mind streams.
Yes !
In a perfect world they would do that, but not everybody hears it and there’s still endless war and destruction.
We need to make it through education ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤
With peace and love we can
One day without regrets if possible ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
These monks visited our Buddhist temple and stayed for awhile. Our Sangha helped them give a concert in DC. Wonderful monks. Our Nyingma Sangha has many monks and nuns.
Free Tibet
Tibet is already free, Mao liberated Tibet from feudal aristocracy. Many Tibetan Buddhists revere him to this day for liberating them from slavery and abject living conditions. Buddhism is not synonymous with slavery and artificial social regimentation in which the ruling land-owning class lives in luxury at the expense of the suffering & exploited masses, in fact it is diametrically opposed to fundamental Buddhist teachings.
perfect rendition of the Chinese propaganda
I've been listening to it for 25 years, it's wonderful, thanks Gyuto Monks, from Mexico.
not monk but she got it since life was disaster & beat stranges but day by day see it such naturally so use mantras control strange.. to be normal and can become magic..! get the guide… was not a master.. just light.. Many strangers think or feel light was good.. then around or enter so that “monk” use it for guiding, savin, feeding & saving soul,… cool sounds..! relaxing music
Sacred Buddhist Chant
Certain sects of Buddhist monks in Nepal, Tibet, and India practice a form of vocalization known as multiphonic chanting. The ceremonial tradition is based on an ancient vocal practice in which each singer creates two or three tones simultaneously. A full chorus of these voices is rich in harmonic texture and density.

Perfect description, thanks for explaining it to the UA-cam comments section.
If you listen to this, when you’re going to sleep, it feels - or sounds - like the 30 minutes is eternal...
May all beings benefit
Tengo 25 años escuchandolo, es maravilloso, gracias Gyuto Monks, desde México.
Rakta Yamari (Tibetan shin je she mar in, Wylie: gshin rje gshed dmar "the Red Enemy of Death") is a Tantric Buddhist meditational deity which is a wrathful form of bodhisattva Manjushri or Yamantaka.[1] Yamari deities have two forms: red (rakta) and black (krishna), and are part of the Anuttarayoga Class of Tantric Buddhism.[2][3]

Yamantaka, also known as Vajrabhairava, is a deity in Tibetan Buddhism associated with the practice of Yamantaka Tantra. He is considered a wrathful manifestation of the bodhisattva Manjushri, the embodiment of wisdom. Yamantaka represents the conquest of death and the transformation of anger into wisdom. He is depicted with multiple heads, arms, and legs, often in a fierce and intimidating form, symbolizing the power to overcome obstacles and delusions. Yamantaka's practice is aimed at achieving enlightenment by destroying the ego and the ignorance that binds beings to the cycle of rebirth. (I got this from ChatGTP)

This is beautiful
vajrabhairava protektor in my soul...
Karma will shape chinese future for what they've done to the innocent tibetians! Their cravings for power is at such level that they don't even hesitate to kill thousand of monks - innocent civilians and kids where as other neighbouring countries respect and love Tibet from their heart!
Love and respect from a by born Therabadi buddhist, Rangamati, Bangladesh.
Since the last couple of years I'm more interested into Vajryana Buddhism, I wish I could met a Vajryana Monk and take lessons here in my country!

Someone on a forum said that the Meditation on Vajrabhairava (you can find the pdf on a search engine, not going to post a link so I don't get flagged) is the right one, but reading over that, it doesn't seem to be. I have a really hard time phonetically transcribing Tibetan chanting though, so I could be wrong
Precioso .uno mismo .sin separaçion.❤
I guess Dune just straight up ripped this off lol for their Sardarkar army scene.
What is this chant about tho? I listen to it and it helps me focus on myself more. 👀
This is a mantra of Yamantaka, who is a violent aspect of the Bodhisattva Manjushri, who assumes this form to vanquish Yama, the god of death. By defeating Yama, the cycle of rebirths (samsara) that prevents enlightenment is broken
Well, considering Yamantaka is not at all separate from your own mind, I'd consider that a good thing!
@@ThuyVu-ub8er Good explanation although I would replace the word ‘violent’ with ‘wrathful’ as a descriptor of the emanation.
Overcome your animal nature, your passions, and you will become immortal.
It should be uploaded in higher quality

Would anyone know where to find the prayer chanted here, written? I can't seem to find a corresponding prayer somewhere.
have you had any luck finding it, here or otherwise?
I listen to a lot of monks I have not heard some of the chants probably because it’s Tibetan and tantric which I love , we can here the Om and a think in hear a few other mantras but I am not sure, if someone has translation that be great , I throat sing so I love new mantra Buddhist or Hindu
there's a reason for that. those texts are restricted to initiates. some data is not for the internet
these are not lyrixs but sacred texts. you may find the, but they will not mean anything withou proper instruction, seek out the path,.

So does anyone here know how what they're chanting would be transcribed in nagari? Its kinda hard to parse out this mantra from hearing it sung this way.
I love Dharmapala.

Anybody can provide the written mantras of this song ?

Is this has a meaning?
YAMANTAKA IS MY YIDAM...
Walking the inner path means you dont show it. Telling on UA-cam that Yamantaka is your yidam is nonsense.

I do research on how and why Buddhism disappeared from Bihar. I realize it never disappeared. Please view the youtube video, 'Padmasambhava's life in India', and 'Niguma, lady of illusion'. and 'Tilopa and Naropa for his holiness The Dalai Lama.' If you have time you can view, 'Padmasambhava and Tara statues in Jora temple in Lakhisarai town,' and, 'First Tibetan Sangaram in ancient India'. These videos will clear doubts.
I can't hear what they're chanting... What is the mantra, bro?

Imagine if you could give these monks the whole list of digits of Pi, and they started chanting like that: "threeee poooint ooooonnnne foooour oooooneeee fiiiive niiinnnne twoooooo siiiiiiiiixxxx fiiiiivvve threeeee fiiiiivvvve ..." for hours, as long as they could go.
