If they were following Battle City rules, that means Joey beat Yugi. Though I doubt Yugi would use his Egyptian God Cards on Joey, Joey still managed to beat Yugi to reclaim his dragon. This also shows his character, because Joey only got his dragon, if he did win, he could've asked for ANY of Yugi's cards. Imagine Joey with an Egyptian God card. I

I think my favorite time Joey's Time Wizard's Time Magic backfired actually WASN'T whenever it landed on a Skull. It was when it transformed Yugi's Dark Magician into Dark Sage.

In the Waking of Dragons Arc, Joey gained other good high level powerhouses like Megacyber And Esp: Cyber-Tech Alligator. It's a shame that throughout his other duels, Joey didn't keep continue using his other strong 4 or below monsters that were balanced enough in ATK & DEF besides Gearfried, Alligator's Sword, or Rocket Warrior; like: Axe Raider, Little Winguard, or Hayabusa Knight, but instead kept using & added more Landstars.... But I have to say I love the summoning sounds Baby Dragon makes in English!!!

I have to wonder, how come Joey never used a Meteor Dragon in his Deck? I know it’s not exactly good with only 1800 Attack and requires a tribute, but fusing it with Red Eyes creates Meteor Black Dragon and its amazing 3500 Attack. Just seems like a missed opportunity if you ask me.
Joey wasn't never a fusion type duelist. He used heavily Warriors and many Beast monsters. I'm fine the creative team giving him Gliford as his ultimate Warrior and Red Eyes as his ultimate Beast. They even sneak in Jinzo as his second ace monster

In the manga when Joey is about to use the Time Wizard against Rex, Yugi thinks to himself that normally the Time Wizard is used for combinations such as turning Baby Dragon into Thousand Dragon but when you use it by itself, it's much different. If it lands on WIN, you get time magic but if it lands on a skull, it's self-destruct. Yugi says that it's a 1 in 3(not 2) chance because there are 6 spaces on the wand. In the manga all 6 spaces are the same size and instead of a time warp, the winning spaces just have the word, "WIN" on them.
If I lose this coin toss, all my monsters are destroyed and I take damage equal to half of their combined ATK. If I win, all your monsters are just destroyed.
I found Joey’s battles to be better because since you knew his cards were somewhat crappier than Yugi’s, you also knew he’d pull off some kind of wild plan to make them work. It made you support him more through the series as he got more powerful cards or tricks.
Joey lowkey the best character in the show. His development over the series was phenomenal. He went from bully, trash card player to legendary hero.
Still had pretty trash cards in the grand scheme of things. And always fell for the same traps because his strat was ALWAYS the damn same.
Grimrapings his all or nothing strategy was pretty dumb but that’s the point of his game style

In the manga when Joey is about to use the Time Wizard against Rex, Yugi thinks to himself that normally the Time Wizard is used for combinations such as turning Baby Dragon into Thousand Dragon but when you use it by itself, it's much different. If it lands on WIN, you get time magic but if it lands on a skull, it's self-destruct. Yugi says that it's a 1 in 3(not 2) chance because there are 6 spaces on the wand. In the manga all 6 spaces are the same size and instead of a time warp, the winning spaces just have the word, "WIN" on them.

Goku was at first about martial arts, but it became more about energy based attacks, than actually combat.

I found Joey’s battles to be better because since you knew his cards were somewhat crappier than Yugi’s, you also knew he’d pull off some kind of wild plan to make them work. It made you support him more through the series as he got more powerful cards or tricks.
