Ariel’s dad and I officially split 3 days after Nikki’s stint in juvie. Divorce followed immediately after (which I filed). The whole time he portrayed himself as a caring stepfather. I never knew about the dialogue he was spinning while I wasn’t around. Asshole. I get 1 whiff that you’re trying to hurt my kids and it’s OVER. Every parent goes through having rebellious teenagers, but in my family, we NEVER involve the law. That’s a no, definitively. So him doing that to my child, unleashed a fury. I was done. I’m PROUD of Nikki because she finished school and she left Robert’s funky ass not long after she left home. 🙌🏼☺️ She has always listened to her Momma ever since. ♥️

You’re very lucky your mom has your back till this day. I got kicked out like a DOG at 16 by my stepdad & my mom did not stop him one bit. Im talking about he felt in titled to keep all my clothes and shoes because he was “the man” of the house. I didn’t talk to my mom for 3 years. And I wasn’t even rebellious. He kicked me out all because my dad gave me a phone and I was texting a lil boy in that time and they went through my phone (nothing even pg13 was said) but he imagined like if I was opening my legs left and right (take in mind in that time I didn’t even IMAGINED to ever do the nasties with anyone). We started talking again thanks to my ex boyfriend who saw me suffer a lot just missing my little brothers and even though my mom choose him, we have one mom. Long story short, my mom is still with that man & me and her don’t talk much. I haven’t spoken to her for like 7 months now. She doesn’t look for me either. But you’re very lucky Nikki. No matter what happen I think that out burst was necessary because it was the only time you were able to really air out your feelings. i tried being the good 4.0 student in high school to please them but i couldnt then and sure tf can't now. Im srry if im over sharing but i have no one to vent to and literally my dad is sooo controlling and did abuse me when i was younger. He literally told me last night that he'll still whoop my ass and if i try to leave the house he'll pull me by my hair. I turn 19 in 4 months and all i wanna do is leave bc when i try to communicate my truth im either trying to "play him, insult his intelligence, lying, etc" and i cannot do it anymore. here’s how to get stuff around your parents now that facetimes a thing: make sure if you say you’re gonna be with one specific person that the person is with you so you can easily say they invited other people over last minute or just say you’re going to hang with friends in general and don’t name anyone specific just say you don’t know so your parent/s aren’t super sus if they call you and they see multiple people or something... i got this stuff from my sister the bad one i don’t do this i’m too scared my momma will whoop me still but y’all welcome😘

Girl we all went through that stage. I remember when I wouldn’t come home but I was 18 already. 10 years later I found a old journal my mom had and it made me cry so much because it said that she had me back and so much as changed now our relationship is like you and your mom

alya j girl trust me you do not want to move out ! Especially if you have no money . Apartment complex won’t let you get an apartment without no credit and you will have to have a co-signer. Maybe if you have a relative who will let you live with them while you work and build your credit Then move out on your own but do not leave without a plan because you will be setting yourself up to fail .
alya j also the bills never stop coming !!! I pay 2,100 a month just on bills like rent, utilities , car payment, car insurance, internet . That doesn’t include everything else I need like gas and groceries. So please think about it because once your out here and you have those bills in your name there ain’t no going back.

I left as soon as I turned 18 (as in the next day) I don't regret it whatsoever. I can't tell you what's best for you because only you can make that decision. It also depends on just how bad your family is. I already had a job when I moved out and I moved in with a friend who was looking for a roommate. So, we split the bills and I was easily able to cover my portion of rent and bills. You needing credit to rent a place is not true for everywhere Because I have moved a few times and only one place ran a credit check. (It honestly differs from state to state and area to area but I have noticed im seeing credit checks more often) if you don't have a job or savings then you will definitely end up regretting it and will wind up messing of your rental credit by either breaking the lease or not making your rent payments which will look bad too. Keep in mind if you are getting a place by yourself you need to pay deposits for putting utilities in your name if you have never had utility bills before, 1st months rent, ideally extra $ for furniture/decor, deposit on the place, and application fees. If you can't pull all that off then unfortunately you will have to wait until you can.finding a roommate to split bills with can make it easier financially but it can also take its toll on a friendship too. So you have to be careful who you move in with.
