Steven not once but TWICE choose not to kill Justin this game and earlier in the game said they were picking on him butJustin was still trying to say Steven was out to get him. Thats a serious case of PTSD Lol
Having watched a fair amount of these VS. shows it always comes off like Justin and Stephen have some sort of rivalry. Justin and Stephen, LOL, remind me of games with my buddy, he and I have MTG PTSD against each other. I joke about it all the time. Team Green for life:P
This is 4 years later but watched thid episode for the first time today and I think Justin has a right to PTSD after the season of mill He went through previously.
It makes me a little sad that Jeremy didn't seem realize the full combo potential of the Orzhov Advokist and daghatar; everyone always forgets that that you can move +1/+1 counters from other players creatures onto your own.
You can regrowth the bring the light with all Sun's dawn. Bring to light finishes resolving and is the graveyard when all Sun's dawn is put on the stack
Jon Dubois That is incorrect. Bring to Light is still on the stack when you cast All Suns Dawn. While you’re casting your free spell, the Bring to Light spell is still on the stack. It will be put into its owner’s graveyard after the free spell is cast. The free spell can’t target the Bring to Light card in your graveyard. It has the same wording and same exact ruling as the expertise cards from Aether Revolt.
Hey guys, thanks for signing my Scarab God at GP Atlanta this passed weekend. Jeremy I wish you could of signed it but you looked busy at the time. Hope to meet you guys in the future. :)
suggestion: black blue Sygg, river cutthroat ninja theme deck. unblockable creatures (wrexial to mill justin) to trigger ninjutsu, add in some swords for ninjas to wield. Feel like stephen would love a deck like this, especially if you add fun stuff like memory plunder, acquire, knowledge exploitation (because rogues are the unblockable creatures). if opponents do combos then casually play a time stop and end their turn.
Recently I've been working under a budget restriction and was just thinking, "It'd be neat if they did another one of those soon". What do you know, that's what it was. :D
@John Suarez. I used to play a 5 Color Horde of Notions elemental tribal deck. It was a lot of fun to play. I didn’t ever think about how cheap everything was in the deck. I have a fun deck I would like to recommend, it’s a Thassa, God of the Sea. Sea Creature tribal. I would always sing “God of Da Sea” in the little mermaid tune to annoy my group. But playing cards like King Crab and trying to represent all of the seas creatures was the best. Anything involving the ocean or sea was played in the deck. Engulf the Shore, Crush of Tentacles, and High Tide. I highly recommend the deck as a fun and goofy deck to play in commander
Jeremy always going after stephen even when it's not in his best interest. Then Justin always getting inside john and jeremy's head to do his bidding to go after stephen. #TEAMGREEN
I'm so happy Jon is winning again. He always puts a lot of effort into building interesting decks (like he did in the Randemonium this season, when the others just assembled a bunch of bad decks which he had to play). I feel like he is hated a little too much, especially by Jeremy, so it is kind of a good thing to return to see him win this close game. Well played
I'd say with the explosive starts he had, the piling on was actually warranted. He and Jeremy are usually quick (and big) to the board with Justin not finding much gas and Stephen assembling little enough presence to make people want to hit him but not enough to defend himself. It's only natural Jeremy and Jon end up punching each other once in awhile. :P
He's also the best technical player. He's getting easier to support now that it's been a few seasons since he had a number of unfortunate rules misinterpretations that won games for him
This was the best randharmonicon season in awhile. Submitting interesting decks with actual functionality makes for a way more fun video than competing to troll each other.
I’d like to see Justin Parnell take the wizard commander and tweak the deck and see how he does it. I made it into a wizard tribal deck with banner etc. curious to see how he would do it.
Guys, this is absolutely wonderful to me! It so happens that these Generals, even unplanned and unawares, are Three out of four my main generals. At EDH events now, I run Autumn, Horde, Sek'kuar!!
Great episode!! Stephen should have gotten the carrion feeder and taken over the game. Im still going to push for Jeremy to play my deck for final episode #PlaymydeckJeremy
Always a fan of the budget decks to see some more obscure commanders, though I do prefer a overall deck budget rather than per card. Also, obligatory #TeamParnell
ReformedThe to be fair it's easier to watch a video than make a deck find ppl to play and sit down for a game. So that 2 hour video seems short and cheap faced with the alternative
Wait a Minute, how can Justin like Homelands, the undisputed WORST set in Magic, but hate Kamigawa, a set with some problems but interesting mechanics???
He never said he like Homelands. Back in the days, there are only about 3 cards worth playing from Homelands; Merchant Scroll and 2 creatures that couldnt be stp'ed. There are very few legends with hexproof, and only one that fit the budget and autumn willow is it.
Homelands does also have some of the best lore in Magic history. Mechanically awful, but I still hope we go back to Ulgrotha and give it awesome mechanics that match its awesome story.
@@drakeconsumerofsoulsandche5761 Came out right after the mirrodin blocks and had super weak cards when the phyreksian and mirrodin cards were pretty much tac nukes.
I have a 50 dollar Sek'Kuar deck and it does work, fun, entertaining, always casting stuff. EDIT: After looking at the full decklist of his Sek'Kuar no joke its an exact copy as mine.... and I question, did he just copy paste mine from tappedout?..... LOL
Technically you can't add colors outside of your commander's color identity. Since Daghatar is tri-color, he can only make three colors in total. If I recall correctly, in mtgo if you tried to add an off color it would turn into generic mana. (before wastes became a thing)
Dylan Nickel that rule was changed quite some time ago. You can't put lands in your deck that explicitly add colors outside of your identity, but you can produce those colors.
They've pretty publically outed themselves on a previous video (while Wes Wise was still in the cast): If I recall correctly, Justin's a GB fan, Jon is a Dolphins fan and Stephen is an Eagles fan - there was even a Sam Bradford sack montage in one of the videos.
I've only started following at the end of season 8 so I'm still new to this, but can someone explain to me the point rule " -1 for attacking players in last place on (not tied)" . It seems to me that Justin was constantly being attacked even though he has the lowest life total. Thank you in advance!
37:30 either I've been using Horde of Notions wrong for the past 10 years and nobody in my playgroup has said anything....or ya done goofed boys...not even sure which is more likely
I just looked it up with some brief internet searching and you're right, you can use that ability at "instant speed" to get elemental friends out of the bin.
Love the content guys! I watch every episode and I think you guys do an amazing job, but the arguing is getting pretty rough to listen through... Maybe tone it down a bit?
It's actually not that hard. You do it at time of construction. They're SCG, so they'll just go on the site and check for the cheapest NM printing. We did budgets with a league when the C17 decks dropped and didn't have an issue.
Jonathan absolutely should have killed Justin first. He is 6 points ahead of him. He needs to close that gap as much as possible. By taking Stephen out first instead he basically gave Justin an extra point
This isn't CEDH. I'm sure they want to have fun, that doesn't make them bad players. I enjoy every video. Mistakes will always happen. Enjoy the video and don't watch it if you don't like it...
Ryan Brownell I'm not saying that I didn't like it. I love this series. You can like a video or people while disagreeing with certain parts or decisions. I was pointing out what I thought was a very clear misplay that Stephen brought up multiple times. I'll still watch all their episodes and occasionally I'll disagree with some of the decisions they make and comment on it. If you don't like it, then don't read the comments... 😝
Team green needs to never play black again. Again Mr Noell needs to go on tear and just pub stomp. All weekend re watching because utube unliked all your videos and feel obligated to re watch and like.
Why do I feel like it is always Stephen vs every one else at the table. Kinda getting sick of them all playing the popularity contest instead of playing to give them the best chance at winning
Hull Breach on Predator, now that's just thematically correct.

Love that Stephen knows about the Trailer Park boys, that show is a gem
Pretty sure Horde of Notions works at instant speed, since the ability is on the stack when you play the creature.
It is. You can do it whenever you could cast an instant.
Glad someone else noticed
ya. Ive been running horde of notions since back in the day. It's by far my favorite.
I didn't know this and I've had a horde of notions deck for 2 years.
It makes me a little sad that Jeremy didn't seem realize the full combo potential of the Orzhov Advokist and daghatar; everyone always forgets that that you can move +1/+1 counters from other players creatures onto your own.
Forget it, Jake, it's Jeremy-town
thanks again guys for signing my shirt!! GP ATL. cant wait to see the next vid. cj reedy
Steven destroyed more artifacts/enchantments this game than in the whole last season
16:29 game start

Really adore Jon's deck this episode!
Also guys, I know that'll never happen but please do a Wes Wise tribute episode. Kinda miss him.
Every deck has Cryptic Command and Oracle of Mul Daya!
They all have Cryptic Command and they all have to waste it.
Also, they need to play Sultai colors so they can include Squandered Resources.
lol I agree Aleksy

Aleksy Haidukevich Everyone also needs Cheatyface.

Yes to the subtle Always Sunny reference!

You guys should do the legendary nonland non-creature as commander theme again.
I’d like to see Justin Parnell take the wizard commander and tweak the deck and see how he does it. I made it into a wizard tribal deck with banner etc. curious to see how he would do it.

Yay! Playing Dagh! I personally play the mtgo version, so I hope it wins
Judge, can I play the elemental targeted by Horde of Notions as part of the resolution of it's abillity?
Can you guys do (or have you?) an episode where you take the same color combination yet all four decks do something different?
Stephen Green rocking the Carson Wentz jersey. I'm originally from the Philly area, loving this season so far. Go Birds!

its not that big in the Detroit area because we cant afford it
The metro Detroit commander player base is full of cut throat top tier decks. So much for a casual format.
I'm still looking for a meta without cutthroats.
