It's hard to believe that its been 9 years since this vid came out! Thank you everyone for your support and love! As for where I am right now, I'm working as a game developer for my own series set in a fantastical universe. It's got plenty of fun worldbuilding, lore, and all that good stuff. I love this. It's so perfect, for so many reasons:
1. It solves the Hearts and Hooves day love poison/falling kingdom thing
2. It explains why Chrysalis feeds off love
3. It explains why she [Chrysalis] looks somewhat like an insect
4. It also explains why she looks like Swiss cheese (and why she has stringy hair)
5. This lyric now makes sense: "No, I do not love the groom! In my heart there is no room!"
6. Did anyone else think Celestia was hesitant to attack Chrysalis? Well, this solves that too; she was once part of Equestria's ruling class, and Celestia didn't want to hurt a fellow alicorn
7. One more thing: it explains why she is so devoted to her subjects
Totally open for debate here, as well as more ideas ;3

On 6, it would make sense if she remembered seeing Chrysalis attack and knock down her /mother/

This is a great side story, leaving so much to be expand beyond the Chrysalis domain for it fit the needs of "Hearts and Hooves" and their duties that were not fulfilled.
The possible history of Equestria is quite dark, and it makes me regret not having the grammar to handled my own story. If you have time later Ink Rose can you help me on my story of Star Swirl.

wow, that description of Chrysalis changing makes me have a very detailed, very creepy image in mind. I also like how you made Chrysalis attached to her subjects in the end. This story was great!
Now THAT is a fine piece of work, this here fanfiction! The drama and the mood slowly builds up, the details are good and well-described without turning into a story of their own, and the sound effects fits in like a glove!
On the other side of this shining coin, there is me NEVER going to be able to see Chrysalis as I used to again (I had goosebumps quite a few times), as well as the fact that some parts were so terrifying it became the sort where you will sometimes look over your damn shoulder to make sure it is not happening to you IRL.
Overall, a clear 8/10 from me.

wow, that's extremely powerful story, I think it also give a better stronger background to Chrysalis origin and very strong performance from you as well-ink rose, I think this entire story deserves an award!
I have watched some theories and history on Chrysalis, but this one really hits me in the feels because of how betrayed and alone she felt. This is a really good background and makes a lot of sense, I can really tell how she must have felt because of how selfish Farthing was and it caused her to basically go insane. She's one of my favorite characters in the series. I honestly don't see her as a villain, but misunderstood. Please make more of your videos! They are great and make a lot sense

Another amazing video Ink Rose..........Dark, devious, heartwrenching, extreme, and all around vindicative, and I love it. My 3 favorite parts are........
1: When Chrysallis stroke at Celestia and Lunas mom for wasting her time, because Farthing saw the beginning of the innevitable chaos, carnage, and unrelenting pain that he caused on not himself and her, but for her entire kingdom.
2: The point where Farthing tried to run from the immense realization of his sinister actions, as it truly reflects the dynamc of his quick scheming, and that while he did get the girl, he did it in a way that will ultimately come back to him in full force, and ruin EVERYTHING!!!!!
and 3: the dragon and how he formed the changeling kingdom, because.............DRAGONSDRAGONSDRAGONSDRAGONSDRAGONS, and to truly destroy someone, you need not destroy them, their lives, or their civilizations, but that you give them what they want, but not completely as to satisfy them fully.
All in all, I loved this just like I love the others, the images were visually captivating and stunning, the music was grand and innovative, and I am well satisfied. Heres to you Ink Rose, :D, XD

I really liked the background music. Really added to the drama and emotional depth.
Wow... I love how you put pieces of the show's stories in yours; that makes it so much more believable. This story is so heartbreaking - one can hardly call Chrystalis a villian anymore, as she is only trying to provide for her subjects. Awesome story, Ink Rose.
What a tragic story! This is much more heartbreaking than the tale of "Urashima Taro".
This story was amazing!! I would not be disappointed if this was Chysalis's actual backstory. It was emotional, it had a good story, and it mixed well with the Story of Hearts and Hooves Day. It fit very well for my favorite villain and even though this is just fan fiction, it made me love Chysalis even more. The one problem I did have thought and don't worry it's pretty small but that would be with Princess Luna and Celestia's Mom. I felt she kind of jumped to conclusion and just assumed Chysalis was a traitor even though there was some proof in Chysalis's dialogue that she was poisoned by a potion but then again she could have just been to angry to see the proof or she didn't get the hints so like I said it's only a small problem that doesn't distract me from the already good story. So good job Ink Rose!! I will give this a ten outta ten and a like. :D
Part-1 sets the scene. Part-2 is intense as hell or wherever "bad" ponies go. Oh my goodness. The complexity added to Chrissy's character is astounding. A series of dark notes indeed. Well done, well done /)

In the earlier era of pony species tirek roamed, bringing chaos to chubby ponies. xD lol there kind of already is an origin story. By origin I thought his beginnings as I forgot that inkrose starts from their earliest years xD apologies on my part.

Dear Ink, I think that in Part 2 in the Season 5 premier, the Guardians of Harmony will save Queen Chrysalis from the corruption of the Chaos Bringer and bring her and the Changelings back to their true forms. Then when Princesses Celestia and Luna see her, they will remember what she did to their mother when they were children. After they tell the guards to chop her head off, Chrysalis tells them not to, and tells them about the potion Farthing gave her, and when under the spell of it,
This is so awesome, it makes me feel like she was attacking Canterlot because she was so pissed at the world.

That was one heck of a good story! I give it 3 hooves up! I'd give it four but then I'd fall over xD I think my favorite part was when she began to change, it was very descriptive and we'll thought out, plus you had a wide vocabulary so you didn't repeat things over again but instead found new ways to stimulate the reader and further their mental image.

That was absolutely beautiful! I love the part where she promises herself that she'll never abandon them again. Its kinda a sad ending and stuff but the best stories always have hardships in them. Otherwise they're just, rainbows and unicorns, not a good story. I love listening to your work and stuff because A) you have a lovely voice B) they're beautifully written and C) your stories are so creative, I would've never thought of Chrysalis's background like this!

this is one of the best head cannons I have ever heard. so hard to choose a favorite part but id say its a close tie between when she freaked out when she thought he was leaving so she consumed countless potions disfiguring her and he ran away and the ending when she decides to do everything for her people to make it up to them. I liked the first one because it was dark and creepy nearly gave me goosebumps the second was bittersweet.

I was half expecting Chrysalis to use her anger magic to enfold the prince in a cocoon, which would make him 'king' chrisalis *persay,* and then together they would terrorize the city and turn them, and give them loyalty potions, but i think your version was a lot better.
I love the part where Queen Lucena unleashed her powers onto Chrysalis. Showing her what would happen if you would strike down an alicorn. Great work ! ;-)

I remember listening to this at my grandparents house thinking it was the single coolest thing ever.
How deliciously wicked of a tale you have spun, i must admit that the version of equestrian history that you have told makes sense to me and brings a much needed darkness to the realm. I admire your story telling and look forward to listening to some more of your works. as far as my favorite part i would have to say it was when the chaos bringer turned her world upside down.

In the first part prior to this video, I must say my favorite parts were when the prince followed Chrysalis down in to her potion room. As karma follows, she being to drink her own potion.
And for this video, it would have to be the moment the Chaos Bringer had come in and used his dark magic for her completed transformation in to the Queen of the changelings.
You do an amazing job at bringing all of your pieces together and how you tell your stories. . So bravo, bravo. Encore encore!
