    Working with large assemblies can be quite a challenge, especially when multiple designers need to be working on the design simultaneously. In a previous webinar we explored what options and techniques in SOLIDWORKS can help increase performance and efficiency. Now we're taking the time to explore what SOLIDWORKS PDM brings to the table for functionality and benefits when working with SOLIDWORKS assemblies.
    Also, follow us on Social media to get updates on what's new in the SOLIDWORKS universe!!

    would like to express some issues that I faced, hope you can provide some insights;
    I am using the PDM standard as standalone installation (servers and client located in the same workstation and PDM basically using to as version control and the revision control method)
    1. each time if I rebuilt and save (I do use to it in normal Solidworks to get rid of sudden crashes and data losses) it identify as a new version, should I need to make the new version after rebuilt or save even there is no any modification to the part?
    2. as an example;
    I made an assembly with two parts associate with drawings fro each of the parts and assembly. Then had check-in for all parts, assemblies, and drawings. Finally, it asks to rebuild some assemblies, parts, and drawings once I modified one part in the assembly. Is this the proper way to go? (because it requires to open all the files and rebuilt whole requirements again and again, pretty annoying)
