Good observation. The song was written by Jim Steinman. The same guy who wrote the Bonnie Tyler hit total eclipse of the heart and several meatloaf hits.
You're on the right track. Jim Steinman wrote for Meat Loaf, wrote this song and Total Eclipse of the Heart. He was an amazing songwriter. You're the only reacter I've seen that really knows music!

I've heard 5/10 songs and yes the more superior version of this song won 😂 shoutout to the songwriter dude literally wrote the same song twice and both of the occupied the top 2 position 😂
This song was produced and wrote by Jim Steinman. Who he also wrote and produced this Bonnie Tyler classic (Total Eclipse to the Heart) and ''It's All Coming Back to Me Now'' by Céline Dion. Anf fun fact, in US, this song was reaching n.2 behind a another Jim Steinman song, ''Total Eclipse Of the Heart'' by Bonnie Tyler.

Amazing background trivia per usual RBS (I need to make that a copy-and-paste comment from now on). I've always found Air Supply's tunes to be so sickeningly sweet that my teeth ached (in a good way), but their production quality was always top-notch. Two of their most beautiful songs both musically and lyrically in my view are Lost In Love and Even The Nights Are Better, gorgeous '80s love-song-writing par excellence. Russell Hitchcock's vocal range is impressive, he's no Mickey Thomas (no one is) but he sure makes those difficult high notes look easy. 👍
@@craigcraigster4999 ...TRIVIA TIME!! ..."Even The Nights..." was supposed to be for BARRY MANILOW (for his Greatest Hits in 1978); Barry hated the tune, and Clive Davis FORCED Air Supply to do the tune, for their 1982 Album ("Now & Forever")...they did the Video in New Jersey (on a dirty Beach), at 5am in the Morning, w/ S-YRINGES on it, in Coney Island! ...and, "Lost In Love" had a "Star Wars" themed Music Video that Clive HATED, and they had to re-do it for their U.S. release of the tune, becoming a HIT! ...Trivia, I'm FULL of it..... ; )
My 11/12 yr old self didn't know or care anything about Meatloaf, but I did love some Air Supply 🤣 My art teacher used to play them in the background when we were working on our projects. (I thought she was very cool cuz she wore colorful Esprit outfits... unlike any other teacher) I bought their Greatest Hits cassette and loved it! Vaguely remember the video and thinking it did not live up to the song at all 🤣 But your reaction had me lol'g throughout!
Another great song written by Jim Steinman (R.I.P.) for Meat Loaf (R.I.P.) was Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through. You'll recognize the young Angelina Jolie in the music video.
🧡 Yeah, it is similar to Total Eclipse of the Heart. I was gonna say it sounded familiar. Now, idk if I've heard this or if I'm getting them confused! 😂😂 Tfs!
So yeah...pretty much every Jim Steinman written and produced track for EVER BODY (including Celine Dion's All Coming Back To Me Now) sounds incredibly similar. LOL! Even Barbra Streisand recorded a Steinman song, 1984's Left in The Dark. Which is also a an entertaining video if you want to check it out!
This was my mama’s jam (she was and still is about that Lite-FM life).😍 Air Supply was mad corny but I won’t front, though: always low key liked their other hit “Lost In Love”. ☺️ Your reaction was hilarious, E, and in the end, f-boy played himself. 😂
To each his/her/their own. You want to watch reactions to 70’s & 80’s rock? There’s PLENTY of channels that do just that. I know bc I subscribe to them. Empress has carved her only little niche. And to her credit, her Patreons are more *VERSATILE* in their requests. Others channels do one classic rock song after another. For me, it gets monotonous bc I enjoy many diff genres of music. ✌🏽
Yes, this s a Jim Steinman production, who also did Total Eclipse by Bonnie Tyler. Bonnie also has her own version of this song.
Ooh she sings this too?? Wow haha

Air Supply.....this is bringing me back to the 80s !!!!!!!
OMG you’re so much fun today. I’m gonna have to check or wait for RBS to tell us which song came first 🌺
😂right!
...I DID.... ; ) .....Bonnie, by WEEKS....
@@RBS_ I never made the connection. Back in the day I thought there was a female singer in Air Supply until I saw an album cover.
You are a legit student....Props, homie.

Nothing gets past you Empress. 😂
I hear sooo much music even I amaze myself sometimes
One of the big Power Ballads of the 80s
Empress...this was #1
I think Steinman found a rhythm that worked for him and milked it, with some changes. I won't complain too much since the songs ARE beautiful.
Hahaha agree

Australian hit monsters.
Empress always catches the relations to other songs. But why no mention of the lead singer's powerful voice? You should give him his props.
She did. Ok it was about his makeup but she did acknowledge him. 😉
I thought I did mention his ability to hold a note
