They loved her so much. Scott said she showed up early, in full glam and was the nicest person ever. They had changed her song so much to make It acapella. She loved it and insisted they take a verse. This collaboration earned them all a grammy ❤. Dolly is 70plus here She is simply a treasure She has given millions to charity and done so much good in the world
This was recorded more than 40 years after Jolene was first released, but this was the first Grammy Dolly ever won for it - in collaboration with Pentatonix!
When Pentatonix features someone, they try to make sure they have the most attention therefore she was louder at the beginning. Originally, they wanted to just do backup vocals, but she asked them to sing more of the main song. Very cool!
She's going to start collaborating with other rock stars since she was inducted in the rock n roll hall of fame. She said she has to live up to doing rock n roll. She's doing a duet with Steve Perry for open Arms. Can't wait for that. She is 77 years old and still has it
Dolly is 77 now so she must have been about 71 when this was recorded. She’s still going strong. Recommend Pentatonix’s collaboration with Lindsey Sterling on Radioactive.
Thank you for doing this one! Yes, Dolly's voice is much more powerful in this version than in her gentler, softer original. So glad you enjoyed it. I love it every time. And I believe Dolly is in her 70s now.
I think it was a great collaboration, especially since country is not their usual genre and they had to sort of change their beats and cadence to make it fit. It's annoying that Dolly FINALLY got a Grammy for such an iconic song and she had to wait years for it. I'm not mad at or about PTX, but I'm really pissed at the Grammy's that never bothered to recognize this wonderful song. Shame on them!
Thank you for this. It was great. Btw, I always watch to the very end. I think it's rude to click off early. Besides, I like to hear your wrap up. Have a great night. Take care and be safe until I see you again.

Yes, Mitch went through a (thankfully short) bald phase. 😂😂❤❤
Always happy to have more Pentatonix reactions!
