This accident happen to the Volvo EC210B Excavator when the unknown man open the storm drain gate near the excavator work. The water flows down swiftly and carries the sand below the excavator track. Then the Volvo EC210B collapsed to the water.

@@MrZygy3 The difficulty for the driver is knowing when to fight to save the machine and when to switch the engine off to save the machine :)
@@teamidris Hey, good point. I wonder if the engine oil was circulating properly with the machine on its side like that? It might have been one of the cooling fans hitting the bent up cowling panels making that clatter though.
@@TrevorDennis100 It was a bent rod as per above. Could have been much worse.
I wouldn't be surprised if they made a new rod from scratch. Very resourceful people there.

In Canada that recovery would have taken forever. Countless safety meetings. Approval from every ministry under the sun. There they hop into another excavator with no shoes, no gloves, no hardhat, no safety glass and no high vis clothes and just get er done. lol I guess some thought to safety is a good thing but you wonder if it has gone to far? haha
Too much bureaucracy gets nothing done..

Some excellent machine control and strategy by the Komatsu operator, but what on earth were his ground crew thinking when they ran that cable over the cowlings? That was entirely avoidable. They have had a lot less trouble with a nice flexible chain than they did with that stiff old cable that was already trying to kink before they even hooked it up. A good result though, and another big hand for the Komatsu operator.

I agree with you one the Komotsu operator he was a great operator and you want hear me say that to often on here about too many of them, but I’m still trying to figure out how in the hell that some of these people get these machines in these situations and specially in this case here. I was waiting for a rod to come through the block with all that knowing going on after they fired that VOLVO back up damn that thing sounded bad and their were way to many kids running around their for me, and I’ve always been cautious when I’m around other people,machines,tree’s ect and their was just to much shit going on around him while he was trying to work, no place for anyone when you are on heavy equipment, at least it’s that way here in the state’s.!!!
