Ah Deannie thank you so much, all those little scraps used too ! Do hope you’re migraine is a little better today and you can curl up with you’re little dog and sew some scraps. 🐾🧵
The cutest Fox 🦊. So nice to go outside to hear and see spring. Freddie is adorable as always. It was so cool to hear you say hedgerow because Led Zeppelin used that term in the song Stairway to Heaven. A bustle in your hedgerow," the enigmatic line in Led Zep's "Stairway To Heaven". I’ll be singing that all day. Love that song.
When I was in high school and took typing, our typing teacher required we keep a penny on the top of each of our hands positioned on the keyboard. If the pennies remained on the top of the hand while typing it meant one had one's hands correctly positioned . If a penny fell, well the results were .......... ( rhymes with fell ) . . THANK YOU Janet and Freddie for another special and most creative vlog.
Oh Barb’ra, puts me in mind of my piano lessons !! Oh typing ! I remember my typing exam, when I put the carbon paper the wrong way during an exam !! Thank goodness now we can play, no rules !!
What a delightful video Janet. I always feel that you take me on a beautiful arty journey. I love your creative hearty fox and your creative video compilation with Ben and Freddie. Thanks.
Margaret thank you so much, I enjoy sharing the nature and art Freddie and I find when we are out and about. Have a peaceful Sunday and hope you get to do some art this week.
Another very special video. I remember taking typing in high school . My Mom advised me that if I wanted to make my college work a bit easier I should learn to type. In those days ‘61-‘65 it was not considered something a boy should learn. I was the only boy in my typing class. I am ever so thankful for my Mom’s advice. Just love your adorable fox!!!!!
This little machine is from the 60’s, yes it meant you could type out you’re own thesis and save the expense of sending it out to be typed up for you, a wise Mother. I too had typing lessons but you wouldn’t know it !! Roy happy creating this week with you’re amazing colourful fabric collection.

Yes I learnt shorthand and typing at Technical School. My first job was in an office in Dewsbury, then I went to work for my Uncle in the office of the TV Dept of a large store called Bickers. Then I went to work in Leeds, a rather large office where I was the Secretary to the General Manager. I got pregnant with Julie at age 18/19 and had Julie in 1961. Peter and I married Peter in 1960 and here we all are with or son Stephen and youngest daughter Susan who is a dance and has videos on you tube under Ballroom Moves if you want to look. Today I noticed she was re-putting on her and Ros's dancing videos and it was great to see her so young again but there are plenty of them dancing now. They are both teachers - my granddaughter Tanika is now 17 and has passed her dancing teachers exam. Have two grandsons also aged in their 20's one an electrician and one works in a tv shop in Rockingham. Steve is a supervisor for a pergola building firm and does lots of school work building new ones. Yes I do remember the books that were in front of us that we had to copy. Oh by the way my 80th birthday is coming up in July. The office in Leeds was a catalogue company called Morses - at the Time Kays was a larger catalogue than Morses.
Pam what an artist family you have. I am wondering if you could look up on line any of these buildings and surroundings where you used to work and live; that would be a real trip down memory Lane. 💜
Oh Barbara I thought they were just beautiful, always wonderful to be out and about and surprised by the art and nature you discover. Thank you for you’re kind comment.
